I've played it on Steam, it's hilarious and some of the puzzles are brilliant (one of which I'm curious how it was translated to consoles 👀). Many of the jokes are definitely not little kid appropriate, but depending on what your teenagers are used to, it might be okay for them.
@TG16_IS_BAE I'd have to agree, despite being from North America. It looks like the artist for the NA version at least got to glance at the game for a second, whereas the artist for the EU version was given a vague description scrawled on a bathroom wall. Maybe.
Hopefully they fixed the sound issues with Mario Sports Mix for the VC version. My son borrowed the Wii disc version from the library and some of the music suffered from volume distortion when played on our Wii U. Otherwise, it was a lot of fun!
Was this trying to approach the "ad so bad it's good" state? I wasn't impressed with that aspect of it, but am still looking forward to the game. Steam copy through the kickstarter
Until they give an option to move the data files to an SD card, I'm not bothering installing it again. When the app took up more than 800MB and I couldn't update other apps, it was time for it to go. It's light hearted fun, but a huge waste of space.
@rjejr I ran into the space issue on my tablet, too, and had to uninstall it. Nintendo needs to have an option to move the data files to an SD card otherwise I'm never installing this app again
I've played the whole game through already except the Rosalina levels and the very final level, since I would have to purchase her amiibo to play them and I'm not willing to spend over retail for any amiibo, let alone for a "free" game. If you wanted to play every single level, you'd have to spend at least US$130. I don’t consider the game free, just a fringe benefit for having bought so many amiibo...
@JaxonH I use other social media, but I usually keep each realm separate (FB for family, Twitter for news, authors, and game devs) so it would be nice to not to have redundant friendships across SM in order to connect to them in the app
If I hadn't already bought this on Steam forever ago and the original version (Abe's Oddysee) when it first came out (and again later on Steam), I would totally buy it on Wii U. However, unless there was something truly unique in this version (and it was a reasonable price), I'm going to have to pass this time.
It's pretty easy to make a "Captain Toad" level where you don't have to jump. I've made a couple myself; here's my latest (made it a couple of days before the announcement): 7773-0000-011F-27CD
Considering that I bought this months ago once multiplayer was first announced, I'm glad to hear that it's on its way for sure. My 6 yo will be so pleased!
Existing uploaded levels with invisible blocks are "broken" now - if the level relied on invisible blocks or pass through blocks to finish a level they are no longer winnable. I tested this with two of mine.
I noticed an update to the UI for updating amiibos as well. It now prompts you to remove an amiibo when done, plus the amiibo section in the menu doesn't exit out when you're done changing an amiibo. I found the original behavior annoying so this is a welcome change for me.
It's been $10 on Steam since it came out and totally worth that price. I bought it and it's great, but anything over $20 would be pushing it IMO. There's not a lot of replay value, but it's a great looking game with some decent platforming.
I have Nihilumbra and Teslagrad on Steam, Nihilumbra is okay, but I would totally recommend Teslagrad. Great puzzle platformer with a beautiful hand-drawn art style.- only Metroid-vania-ish in that in order to achieve 100%, you need to retrace some steps and explore old areas again. It's definitely worth it.

Bring back the Miiverse, their integration of Twitter to replace it on the Switch really lacking imo

Re: Miitomo Update Allows You To Add Friends Using Email And SMS Messaging
@hoshinosammy More power to you if you have a gig of internal space available to waste on something with so little actual content.

Just played the level, the one in the video is not the one to unlock Captain Toad - the actual level requires no jumping!

Seems like the keyboard would be a waste of time if it didn't support mice, too.
Re: Yacht Club Games Unveils Full Details of Shovel Knight amiibo
I'm probably one of the few people who still doesn't own this game, waffling between the Steam version and the Wii U version. This may tip the scales.
