@Hank_Scorpio I can confirm now that this method works on UK switch 2 with UK credit cards. Just need to set up a Japan based profile on your switch and open a Amazon.jp account. Screw you Nintendo for the outrageous non-japan price hikes. But thank you for such a great 3d platformer

@Hank_Scorpio I have got myself a Japanese Amazon account and Japanese switch account I've had since the days of switch 1. Hope my DK code works after all the fuss setting things up. Outrageous that Nintendo are charging such different prices around the world

This will suffer the same fate as Kirby dream buffet I reckon. Charging a fee for something better suited to free to play. Minimal content provided without any extra content. I think this will be a graveyard in a few months and won’t ever go f2p

Then a further example of how to transition to 3D with all the grace of a broken shopping trolley. TTYD left me a bit underwhelmed. Lots of back and forth traipsing between characters across boring overworlds. I did like the peach and bowser bits though. Just felt a bit flat (no pun intended)

I'm getting the full game but this demo was a bit short and dull. Either needed to showcase more mechanics or include a few more levels that couldn't just be walked through without thinking

Why bother? That's my first response. Nothing drops for ages and then they release stuff for the premium tier that's playable on the non-premium tier? How is that tempting me to upgrade and what are you thinking Nintendo. Just gonna carry on with Zelda thanks

@Nintendo4Sonic yeah I have followed the same pattern with a h game. It gets to a point where I just don’t have fun anymore as too many high level players just wipe the floor with me and my team

I found colour splash to be the dullest game in the series. Just a drag from about halfway through. Lacklustre level designs, poor battle system which was way too convoluted and no memorable characters to meet

I pay for my entire family pass for 8 members. Most are under 20 years of age and show no interest in what the expansion pass offers in terms of slow drip games and dlc they already own. I am happy to pay for gamepass sub for myself as it offers way more than Nintendo are willing to give (even though it's more expensive I know). I just treat Nintendo online as something they have carelessly thrown out and, if they don't care enough to chase customers, I am content with what I have on switch without forking out their silly price point for such a lacklustre service.

For them to take steps to make the online comparable to any other team based online shooter. Stopped playing when me and friends. Couldn't play together as a group of 3 and pick a side to play on

When will they announce any important stuff about this game I wonder? Like, is the crappy online setup gonna be changed to make it easier and more flexible to play with friends

Any details of how restrictive online is gonna be or not yet? I was really put off how 2 did little to make matchmaking work with friends. To the point where we all stopped playing after waiting ages to get into the same lobbies as each other....

I have a family plan full of 8 but only 3 of us pay as the rest are kids. I'm still waiting for Nintendo to get off their lazy backsides and show they are willing to work for the price of the expansion pack. Have a look around Nintendo at what the competition do. You can't coast along on your nostalgia brands forever (maybe they realised this by not including urban champion this time round?)

Are there different control options? Motion control was perfect on the Wii and I found the stick controls slowed down your responses on the switch demo

Nintendo have a track record of omitting basic features and getting a free ride for it:
Lack of voice chat
Lack of party making
Barely updated NES and SNES rosters
Basic online lobby systems
Restrictions on how they will allow you to play online.
I don't hold out hope for this being addressed as they make enough money to warrant their laziness.

@Darktron I agree the base game has tonnes of content and provides great value. My problem (and I emphasize it's my problem) is with the price of the fighter packs being what they are. Lowering the price point may draw in people with less disposable income to give the new fighters a try. At a lower price, the money lost if you don't like the 10 new fighters is easier to deal with than if you sink the price of the whole base game on two fighter passes. Sure, the data on who is buying the dlc is hidden from us so it's pure conjecture from me. But, I guess I am just not happy with the price being set at this level and therefore am happy to just vote with my wallet on this.

Just my opinion but surely they could have made more money getting people to buy at a lower price point? I love the base game to bits, but the pricing for the amount of content offered is eye watering. In my social group of about 5 smash players, none of us have bothered with it and therefore interest in who will be revealed has slowly dropped off too, knowing we won't pay for them.

Steep price for such a small game. Good luck to them selling it at that mark up

Deffo voting with wallet. After displaying their lack of commitment to the Nintendo platforms available already I don't trust them to make this good value.

Unless the trashy online options are fixed (make it easier to play with friends, more options) I won't get this

I am saddened that so much stuff isn't possible on AC when having people over to your island. It has really restricted me and my niece's enjoyment of playing together. E.g. I give her a new item, she thanks me, tries to place it to look at it annndd...nope can't do it.
Can't give each other bugs and critters...
Can't move things
The list goes on.... Seems like a knock on of Nintendo's bare bones approach to online services again. TLDR - acnh is a great game but I'm confused as to how it can be awarded best multiplayer.

Totally agree there! I wrote a drunken complaint email after spending 30 mins not being able to play with 3 friends in turf war and got a snotty reply saying, "in future we advise you to looka t Nintendos game websites for details on whether the online features will meet your requirements."

Hope they patch in a play with friends option.

Wonder when they are going to drop some more black box era gems like Urban Champion, Pinball and DK3....Nintendo really have an inflated sense of pride when it comes to their NES catalogue don't they? (wink)

I felt underwhelmed by this one. Lots of ports of last gen games and no big wow moments. I wonder what N have been working on lately? They said game droughts would be over with the switch but here we are with a single big game from them this year...

Pikmin 3 bingo battle against my wife who always wins! Second playthrough of odyssey is done bar the infuriating darker side. Also doing the green stars on Mario galaxy two for the umpteenth playthrough(comfort gaming) . Finish up bloodstained and get a bit of ring fit in I hope

Got the labo vehicle kit at £15 . If they had launched nearer to 30 quid I reckon they would have sold like warmed through cakes.

Luckily I got it delivered early yesterday so have had 3 hours of being amazed at the improved animation quality and physics in this game. Luigi is so expressive and there are many funny moments inserted here and there with their own unique animations

Sounds very cringe and badly judged writing wise. Sure, this stuff exists to serve a purpose, which is seeing boobs and women doing booby stuff. If someone is offended by it then fair enough. My own opinion is that it’s a bit lame, like people who are really into sex dolls rather than real people. But, whatever floats your boat....
