Splatoon 3 is one of the most anticipated games for the Switch this year, with the sequel launching on September 9th.
Nintendo has already unveiled some tasty details for the game, including the fact that all "basic" weapons from the previous games will be available, along with a couple of new weapons, including the Triple Inkstrike and the Ink Vac.
We've now been treated to a brief rundown on how banners and titles will work in the game, adding some much needed additional customisation to the experience:

Such a feature has been around in other multiplayer titles for quite some time now, but it's nice to see Nintendo put their own little spin on the concept for Splatoon 3.
Are you looking forward to diving back into the world of Splatoon when the third game launches later this year? Let us know!

Callie and Marie look like dictators
Admittedly I don't really like the look of these banners here, so I hope there'll be others that I'll actually like. Still a cool feature though!
Reminds me of the 360 era of FPS games.
Seeing a green Callie is messing with my head.
This looks nice. I’m always down for some more customization.
@FroZtedFlakerZz I was thinking the same thing...
The fact that 'Inkless' is a title means there's the possibility that we're going to have a Splatoon equivalent of:

and quite frankly I don't think I'm ready for that yet.
This game still just looks like DLC lol. Why pay full price for what could have easily been an update
@ArmenianJedi13 it couldn't. It's not just new maps and weapons, there are differences even in the basic movements, jumping, and similar. Changes like that would make all of the already present map in Splatoon 2 to be redone, as the weapons.
Hope I'll be able to play online until then. 😕
Any details of how restrictive online is gonna be or not yet? I was really put off how 2 did little to make matchmaking work with friends. To the point where we all stopped playing after waiting ages to get into the same lobbies as each other....
There is something off with the banner thing. I am not sure if they are too rectanglely (is that a word?) or if the colors contrast or if it emphasizes individualism over a team. But they seem to jar the flow of that intro screen.
seems like a trend stared from acnh, with switch sports doing it too. its an easy enough collectable to add in even if i never change it once i find one to settle with
@SilverM The only game that would a release something like all this as an update would be fortnite, with an entire new chapter which is pretty similar to making a new game
@SilverM exactly, the games all have diff design philosophies the same way a games like smash 4 and ult play "different". the new maps, weapons, and specials all compliment each other and would be a balancing mess if everything was under one game
I hope its not all ranking up. Maybe complete feats to get some
@Fizza Check out the top comment on Nintendo UK's version of this tweet. It already exists...

@Bret she wore green before a few times in during multiple splatfests from the original game
@sanderev excuse me if I'm wrong... But aren't there new stories maps weapons mods in each different call of duty game?
@sanderev well said.
@Kermit1 @FroZtedFlakerZz
Perhaps they are the physical representation of Order.....
@ModdedInkling Hey now that's actually a good theory... I wasn't even thinking about that but now you've inserted it into my head
