Our lovely senior video producer Alex Olney has had Animal Crossing: New Horizons a little bit longer than the rest of us, and in this time frame has discovered a few extra little secrets about the game. We're not really talking about spoilers here, more like tips and tricks.
Did you know, for example, that you can hit balloons out of the sky with a net? Or stop wasps from attacking you with a party popper? What if you need to relocate an entire forest? Just eat a turnip! Your villagers can even play musical instruments and sing. To find out more things like this, check out the 12-minute video above.
Did you already know about these secrets? Have any others to share? Let us know in the comments.

There is no way I'm eating a turnip unless I know prices are just THAT bad.
The Wasp catching by standing in front of a tree with the net allows you to catch them easier then getting stung or using the popper.
Can anyone confirm whether you get better nook ticket islands if you make the dodo at the desk blush first? By using a reaction
I cant get my head round how adults find so much time to play animal crossing and how addictive it seems. My girlfriend would be annoyed. Think am missing a trickhere
@ryobi85 it is just a relaxing and cute sim game. The days are real time, so there is not a lot of pressure. Games that have 20 minute days stress me out more, like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley.
@brendathecat It doesn't work, it's a total myth. Some people claim it works occasionally, but this is just random chance giving them a good island after they've tried it. I can't seem to find it again, but there's a guide out there that shows the exact percentages of getting any one particular island any time you use a ticket and it was like a 20% chance of getting anything other than an ordinary island with your native fruit and a less than 10% chance of actually getting something good, like Tarantula Island or Money Rock Island.
There are no tricks or secrets to get around this, all we can do is hope that Nintendo eventually adjusts the percentages to improve our chances and make doing the Nook Ticket Islands more fun.
