Re: Nintendo Shows Off New Mario-Themed 7-Eleven Menu

apoqalypse

For the love of me I can't figure why it's Japan only. They really still think Nintendo doesn't sell outside of their country??
Edit: After reading some comments from the guys from the motherland of 7-eleven, I get why Nintendo wouldn't want to put their brand there. Quality control

Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop

apoqalypse

For this to be fixed, it has to be an Ying Yang situation. Show teasers and trailers, and start the hype train, when it's time. Not when you have a whole bunch of nothing.
Industry shows a random group of Demon models, with a generic idle animation, in a generic empty and bland room cof SMT V cof.
Studios should stop showing these early nothings, just because they need to see their stocks rise, to get more investment, based on some stupid metric of engagement. @the4seer
And also customers should start seeing through these monkey business practices. They are becoming way too common, and just setting everyone up for a disappointment (insert cyberpunk reference here).

Re: Daemon X Machina Now Supports Cross-Save Functionality

apoqalypse

I really think this game looks amazing, but when I played the demo at the time it came out, I was bummed out on the performance... Mostly just the framerate.
If the framerate was fixed during this time, I really need to get it.
Artist is the same from Fire Emblem: Awakening, and I am a Gunpla head, so this looks like a perfect fit... if only the framerate was consistent, or maybe even above 30.

Re: Watch Out, Europe - Importing Consoles From The U.S. Just Got A Lot More Expensive

apoqalypse

@cleveland124 That is exactly what companies do. Get their supply from China, Box it, label it for world standards, add their goodies and stickers, and then re-ship it worldwide.
Even in the stupid EU we have to sell our goods to the next door neighbor country, just so we buy it again from them at exorbitant rates.
A stupid amount of money goes to middlemen and adds a ton of expenses to everything...

Re: Random: Could This Be The Most Pointless Switch Accessory Yet?

apoqalypse

@JuiceMan_V What? Did you even bother to see more pictures of it or are you talking based on the picture in the article? It seems a little obvious that this is a picture of the cover being placed and not fully applied.
Check out playasia's product page, there you can see it fully covering the whole front.

Re: Cuphead Celebrates One Year On Nintendo Switch With A Special Anniversary Sale

apoqalypse

@contractcooker Doesn't look simple at all to me, but being released earlier on other platforms doesn't make it more valuable as a product by itself. If I get it i will get it on the cheapest platform available. That's just bad for the game's performance on eShop. It could sell more than it currently sells. And it's a pretty common thing I'm seeing, not just this game.

Re: DAEMON X MACHINA

Frame rates and frame pacing issues, as far as I've experienced in the demo and seen in the gameplay trailer at E3... Hopefully they fix it prior to launch!

Re: Nintendo Takes Legal Action On Prolific E3 Leaker Ahead Of Tomorrow's Direct

apoqalypse

@impurekind I could tell you have more insight knowledge than most of the commenters that are yapping about theft and criminality. It is nice to read you got it sorted out man. Cheers to you. We need more people with that kind of attitude.

The gist of it is that IF we continue to allow corporations to manipulate our online discourse and abuse their power over public speech without any real legal basis and proof of foul play, we'll be mindless drones.

@Lone_Beagle I totally agree with you on this one, on every line.

Re: Nintendo Takes Legal Action On Prolific E3 Leaker Ahead Of Tomorrow's Direct

apoqalypse

@Riderkicker Yeah man it's exactly what i was considering. Its more like a scare tactic, and I don't see the leaker going to court to defend his right to publish information.
@impurekind Yeah most of the people here assume there was criminality involved by the publisher without any substance to that. Most probably someone inside the venues are giving him the info and he is just the publisher.
Also the argument that you're dealing with stolen goods is very wrong. No one is selling the information and no one is directly profiting from the information.

EDIT: I could be totally wrong on all of this of course but with the information in this article, it's my only conclusion.
