Projection: First Light, a puzzle-platformer from Shadowplay Studios and publisher Blowfish Studios, is now available on Nintendo Switch. A launch trailer has been released to celebrate, which you can check out for yourself above.
The game has you setting out on a journey as Greta, a young traveller seeking to learn more about herself and the mysterious light-manipulating power she possesses. You'll be making your way through locations based on China, Indonesia, Turkey, Victorian England, and more, all brought to life with shadow puppetry-inspired art.
As you can see in the video above, the platforming itself sees you controlling the light to create platforms which Greta can use to progress. The light also helps you to solve puzzles and create passageways, and looks like it could be the key to a very clever little title indeed.
We actually first heard about this one heading to Switch way back in 2017, so it's nice to see the game finally arrive. It's available now on the eShop for $19.99 USD / €17.99 / $24.99 AUD.
We'll have a review of the game for you as soon as we can, but are you already tempted? Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments below.

Might check this out
interesting gotta see the play of it...
Looks like inside
@jarvismp Also like the other game by the Inside devs, Limbo. The light mechanic, of course, is quite different.
I grew tired really quickly of this art style... I understand it's easier to create but all games look alike and all of them look really generic, even if the game is really good.
Not for me.
This looks great! If they can make it feel natural and not just guesswork, I’m in
The art style of Limbo + the mechanics of Shadow Puppeteer (a 3d Wii U platformer).
I love the art style but have heard mention of issues with the mechanics. Has anyone tried it out yet?
