Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Donkey Kong Bananza

@ParrakerriRush its unbelievably fantastic if you ever get the chance! I left my comment before I got to play Bananza, but now that I have, you are so right about it being right up there for game of the year! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if either one got it. These two greats couldn't be any more different from each other, and that's the beauty of it!

I dont know what you editors are smokin, but Luigis Mansion is one of the main reasons why I bought a "Black" GameCube at launch, and is still, one of, if not, the main reason why the system launch was so successful! I was so proud to be a GameCube adopter solely because of this game and Rogue Squadron 2. The graphics still have never been replicated on another system! Please bow down to the Goat mansion! Thank you. Now go enjoy the game if you haven't already! If you already have, cherish those memories!

@TobaccoTerror Thanks brutha! You had the Turbo Express! Thats so awesome! I remember that it and the Sega Game Gear being the first back lit handhelds in gaming history! I always wanted one but I was too young to afford it. Always enjoyed the fond memories of seeing the console on display in our local department store. They had Bonks and the first level available to play! The translucent water, the music, the level design, the graphics! I'm so glad I bought over the Genesis, although eventually I was lucky enough to have both(and the Super Nes)! Thats fantastic that you are someone i can relate to. I'm glad to know that I'm not alone! Peace, love and prosperity my fellow NEC dude

Re: Opinion: I Never Felt True Nostalgia Until I Played GameCube On Switch 2

Got a black GameCube at launch from Gamestop. They were only offering bundles with three games, so I got Madden, Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 and Luigi's Mansion. I didn't even like sports games, but i succumbed to Madden just for the sake of it. I remember being blown away with Rogue and Luigi's! That first night, we put in good time with Luigi's, just admiring the graphics that even PS2 and Xbox couldn't touch. Being so used to saving games on my N64, when I went to save the game, I realized that I needed a memory card! I was kinda bummed after the time I put into Luigi' that night, but i was till pumped to start it over , so I went right up to Gamestop the next day and grabbed a couple of cards! One of the most memorable console releases in my life!

@theberrage Bonks Adventure was amazing at the time, Alien and Devils Crush, Keith Courage, JJ and Jeff, Ninja Spirit, Tempest 2000. TG 16 was a fantastic system during the video game Renaissance in the late 80s and early 90s and so on, But you are right, Super Mario World was in a different league, and still is! Can't forget Actraiser and FF 2! What a wonderful time to be alive.

@TwinFami I greatly appreciate your response as it sheds a lot of light on the subject that I'm so unclear about. It makes a lot of sense even if it hurts just little to know the ugly truth haha. I've had every Nintendo system since I got the original NES when it launched, and even went to the Nintendo Championships and got to try out the prototype of Batman by Sunsoft haha. Im not a big online gamer anymore, just solo snd campaigns...but I've always had an allegiance to the company. It seems like they are cashing in on our dreams, whether we are young or old. It kinda sucks and hurts, but I'm willing to take the pain for another dose of nostalgia that they always provide in one form or another...as long as I can eventually someday secure a new system that is, up until the Switch OLED, I have never ever had a problem of getting day one. Thanks again for your response and insight.
