Re: ARMS Version 4.0 Arrives on 16th November

WillTheLion

@Krisi I snagged Arms for free with a buy 2 get one deal for used games at Gamestop today. I'm loving the game so far. The badges are a whole lot of fun to collect. I played Co-op Grand Prix with my wife and had a lot of fun. Thanks for the suggestion!

Re: Blaster Master Zero Version 1.5 Goes Live on 23rd November

@YANDMAN This game is worthy of a physical as far as quality goes, but the truth is that unless they included the DLC characters somehow it just wouldn't be worth it from a ease of access standpoint. If they released a physical version that was just the base game then the DLC wouldn't be able to move between two systems easily. That alone defeats the purpose of a physical version. Besides the game is tiny file size wise it wouldn't even come close to filling a cartridge. It's cheap enough it's worth the digital buy.

Re: Guide: How to Unlock Zelda Gear in Skyrim on Nintendo Switch

WillTheLion

@Agramonte It's more like a cousin really. Sure it's a 'box' and it has 'loot' but it's a one time purchase that I can use again and again multiple times and across multiple games. Actual lootboxes are one time use purchases unlike amiibos. Amiibos are more akin to a 'season pass' for dlc across multiple games.

Re: Review: Revenant Saga (Switch eShop)

WillTheLion

I got this one day one and I've actually really enjoyed it. I feel like the player character walks a little too fast, and sure battles can be a little simple sometimes. But! I have very much enjoyed the story and I've actually recommended this game to friends before this review.

If you likeJRPG's you should give this one a go.

Re: Review: Spelunker Party! (Switch eShop)

WillTheLion

6/10 is lower than I expected. I've got over 100 hours clocked on this with the Japanese version both playing alone and with friends. I loved it so much we bought it again to play through in english. I'd easily have given it a 7/8 as to me this is easily one of the best local multiplayer games on Switch right now.

@crackafreeze Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

Re: Spelunker Party! Launches With a Snazzy New Trailer

WillTheLion

@GrailUK @link3710 Your welcome. I bought the game on the US eshop and then thought to try updating the Japanese version. I was excited when I saw it update thinking it might update to include english. Sadly that wasn't the case. I took the bullet for those who weren't sure.

All the same I'm having fun playing the beginning of the game again.

Re: Spelunker Party! Launches With a Snazzy New Trailer

WillTheLion

@link3710 @GrailUK @Logen I own both the physical Japanese copy of the game and the US english Eshop game. The Japanese copy recieved an update today when this version released that updated it to 1.1 like the english game. Sadly though the game did not update to include english language. It's still japanese only. Also the english copy of the game did not load the save file from the japanese game so I had to start over to play in english.

Hope this helps.

Re: Review: Quest of Dungeons (Switch eShop)

WillTheLion

@Hughesy It's actually a lot of fun. Each dungeon has different tilesets for each floor so they end up having variety in appearance. But then each different dungeon you unlock by clearing one also has even more tilesets that are unique to each dungeon you unlock so the game always has something new to look at. Each dungeon also has lots of new enemies so they don't repeat too often.

I've played this game a ton. I just can't seem to put it down. Even when I die and lose all my progress there still always seems to be time for 'just one more floor" before bed. I highly recommend this game to anyone even remotely interested.

Re: Review: One Piece Unlimited World Red - Deluxe Edition (Switch)

WillTheLion

I bought this one when it released on the Japanese Eshop (it included english already) I was able to get this new and improved version with all dlc for the price of all the DLC I hadn't bought on the PS3 version. It's a double dip that I've enjoyed so far. But it is mostly the same game so I can understand why some people might skip it.

Re: Video: Fan-Made Showcase Illustrates The Potential Of Animal Crossing On Switch

WillTheLion

I almost didn't watch this video because of the stupid stuff people were complaining about. Honestly if the stuff about him telling Charles Martinet to Shut Up or that he complains about things a lot is true then well yeah that stuff would be things to avoid. But this video itself was actually really nice content wise. I loved the ideas shared here and the artwork the he made was really well done.

Re: Spelunker Party! is Digging Its Way to the Switch eShop on 19th October

WillTheLion

I absolutely adore this game! I gather friends and family together to play 4 player co-op of the Japanese version all the time. We've spent over 100 hours playing this together on Switch. Now that's some multiplayer fun!

I really really really hope that this game will auto-update to allow english play. I've already bought the game once and I don't want to buy it again just to play with english. (most the UI is easy to navigate in Japanese anyway because there's so many icons and such to tell what things are.)

I want to play in english but not at the cost of losing over 100 hours of progress on the Japanese version. Please Square Enix let me continue my party from where it left off!

Re: You Can Now Enable Two-Step Authentication For Your Nintendo Account

WillTheLion

@MasterWario Yeah I don't want to lock myself outta my 'house' if you will. I'll stick to just passwords because it's already plenty of protection. Especially we change our password ever now and then. Not to mention having to use an app just makes logging in that little bit more tedious. I'd rather not have the annoyance.

@crackafreeze I'm like you and I don't want any of the annoyance of using this. Good old fashion complex passwords is plenty of protection as far as I'm concerned.

@Exy I get why people feel it's important to use this kind of protection but I feel that it's more annoying than helpful. I'm of the opinion that it's very unlikely someone will hack my Nintendo account. So I don't want the extra annoyance. I'm glad this isn't forced.

Re: Mario Bros. to Kick Off 'Arcade Archives' Range on Nintendo Switch

WillTheLion

When I saw these I thought it was a Namco Museum like collection. But its actually just like the Neogeo games. Sadly they're priced exactly the same as those Neogeo games ( $7.99 on the US eshop and they're 6.29 gbp on the UK eshop).

$8 for King of Fighters felt like a steal. That same $8 for the Mario Bros arcade original just feels like I'm getting conned. I'd have done $4, but they're such simple games for the price they're asking. =/

@Kalmaro haha you must really like this site. You're almost always first to comment. Are you subscribed to some service that notifies you when a new article is posted? Something like that would be very useful.

I love this game! I think it's a lot of fun, but ever since I bought Mario Kart 8 DX I can't convince anyone to play it with me anymore. They all say it's too hard. I just tell them that it just is more skill based.

Either way I'm excited for the new tracks!
