Never mind, Mario

In late September we reported on various Golden Joystick nominations for Nintendo games, hardware, concepts and exclusives; as awards voted for by the public and with a fair number of categories up for grabs, there was perhaps some hope of a sneaky award win.

The voting public decided it wasn't to be, however. Some of those titles or nominees that missed out were unsurprising, with some heavy-hitting triple-A candidates unsurprisingly sealing the wins. Perhaps the biggest surprise was in the Best Handheld Game category, where some high quality 3DS titles missed out to Assassin's Creed III: Liberation on the PS Vita.
