I live 45 minutes from NYC. They could be giving out free Oled Switches that I would never set foot on that %#^*^%hole city.

Not a chance. Switch does not even have proper joycons for traditional fighting games, which is a damn shame I cannot play fighting games on the go, and we all know the hardware will simply not handle a next gen street fighter.

If there’s one country that could bring indie games to another level, it’s Japan. I am speaking in general terms, not specifically about the games shown here. But take the shumup “Raging Blasters” for example, they get the music so damn right, it’s fascinating.

Genesis/Mega Drive games are very expensive over there.

Sometimes I just want to play simple games on my switch, but unfortunately the joycon layout makes it very uncomfortable. There’s absolutely no reason for Nintendo to not have released a dpad-only joycon at this point. It boggles my mind that we still don’t have more joycon options. The joycons are freaking attachable pieces, it only makes sense to have more options.

Please, make it happen Squarenix!! Octopath is such a cool game!!

I am willing to pay 60 bucks for Silksong if that were the asking price and the same goes for Metroid Dread.

@nessisonett The levels being short and well edited is one of the many reasons why SMB3 is so good. The game gives you a great sense of quality and variety.

Anyone who does not love SMB3 has a very bad taste.

What a bummer

I absolutely love old games, but funny enough I tend to agree with the article’s premise. I do believe we entered a golden age of gaming after the Switch’s release, but I still think the 90’s were better. I need a few more games to say that the current era is as good as the 90’s were. One thing is for certain though, I haven’t had this much fun with video games since then.

The day Nintendo really focuses on surpassing SMB3 and/or SMWorld is the day Nintendo will break all the sales records. 2D Mario is a behemoth. It’s the biggest killer app ever in gaming.

When Switch Lite sells almost as much as the original Switch you can safely assume that the OG switch is supply constrained. 100%.

Another classic that deserves a remake. And this game would greatly benefit from a second quest or some kind of hard mode.

Zelda 2 is an absolute classic! And I have no nostalgia for this game, since I finished it for the first time around the middle of the last decade. This game has one of the best level systems ever created where grinding will not do much for you and you will have to get better at it by practice. The end result of that is a pitch perfect sense of growth I am yet, to this day, to find in another game. There are many things that could be ironed out in a possible remake, but don’t sleep on this classic. Get past the archaic graphics and embark on this great adventure.

Cross save incoming. That is actually good for Capcom and Nintendo.

If squarenix used this same engine to make a classic style Final Fantasy game, it could easily sell over 5 million copies.

Why does it have to be Roguelike?? The game looks really cool, but I hate to have to play the same ***** over and over. It gets tiring and boring real quick. I sold my copy of Dead Cells because of that.

Mario 3 has much better music than world
Better edited levels
Better power ups
More levels
Airships are more intimidating than castles
Better difficulty and super tight controls
Much better lore (mushroom kingdom is a thousand times more cool than Dinosaur Land)

If SMB3 does not get the highest score, the world needs to end.

@MrBelmont Breath of the Wild it is. It combines the open worlds aspects of the original Zelda and the exciting combat of Zelda 2.
Now my top 3 are: BotW, LoZ and Zelda 2 respectively.

Miyamoto is always so full of sh*t. Switch is successful because of Zelda and a stream of quality software subsequently.
