Re: Review: Castlevania (Wii U eShop / NES)

@darklinkinfinite

I'm going to try it this weekend. I would like the satisfaction of beating this game after all these years. I've beaten Simon's Quest and Dracula's Curse so I gotta go for it to complete the trilogy.

Re: Nintendo Acknowledges Network Issues and Suggests Patience

Urbanhispanic

This is clearly a double edged sword issue; their network experiences issues when so many people are logging on at the same time to download games, use Miiverse or play online which sucks for everyone. At the same time, this could be a sign that Nintendo is finally moving way more Wii Us into the hands of gamers. If anything, this should motivate them to further enhance their online infrastructure so it can handle more people at a time.

Re: Review: Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (3DS)

@JaxonH

I need to upgrade it; currently I have the ol' fashioned analog TV (complete with a big butt on its back.) In addition to the two games that come with the bundle, I already bought Batman Arkham Asylum and Need for Speed Most Wanted so I'll be ready when I buy a new TV next month. I'm even planning on getting Tekken Tag Tournament, Lego City Undercover and Super Mario 3D World.

But for now, I'm clearing out my 3DS games backlog.

@darklinkinfinite

thanks! You know...I may have tried that strategy before but never got the correct timing of whipping and using the holy water. I will definitely try it again; I've since downloaded it to my Wii years ago and have my save state on the 5th stage.

Re: Fan Campaign for Bayonetta Wii U Release Kicks Into Gear

Urbanhispanic

Being that I haven't played the first game and do not own a 360 or PS3, I would consider buying Bayonetta 1 if they released it for the Wii U. Also, I already decided on picking up Bayonetta 2 when it comes out.

There are gamers out there who would pick up both titles and word of mouth could increase the number. We need to support quality games for the Wii U regardless if it's from Nintendo or not.

Re: Review: Call of Duty: Ghosts (Wii U)

Urbanhispanic

The only CoD I ever played was World At War on the Wii. I got bored of it rather quickly and plan to but the Wii U soon. After reading the review for Ghosts, should I get it or pick up Black Ops 2 instead as my first shooter for my new Wii U?

Re: Soapbox: The Wii U Virtual Console Needs to Freshen Up

Urbanhispanic

I completely agree with this article. If Nintendo knew that they were going to continue the VC service from Wii and bring it to the Wii U, the first thing they should have done is provide resources for re-coding the games that were already available on the Wii VC so they can be brought to the Wii U e-shop; that way those games who be ready from the get go to download and THEN, Nintendo can focus on coding the retro games that never made it to the VC in the first place.

Re: How To Survive Developer Points Out Reason For Lack of Online Multiplayer In Wii U Version

Urbanhispanic

People seem to forget that not everyone has the time to invite people over to play games or that their friends have different schedules; which is why online mutiplayer makes sense for some games. This game we are talking about makes sense to have the online component. While I appreciate the developer for coming out and saying why it won't be in the Wii U version, I don't like the impression I'm getting: that when it comes to the Wii U, developers can't be bothered to include all the things that are coming out for rival consoles. It's almost like the developer is saying that they cannot improve the story, make use of the GamePad AND optimize the online multiplayer feature all at the same time.

It just rubs me the wrong way. And yes....I know what it is to play against jerks online on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins Will Be Cheaper on Wii U

Urbanhispanic

I actually would have liked to see the online multiplayer so I'm a lil' bummed out. On the other hand, since when does the publisher knock off some dollars to acknowledge that one version of the game isn't getting all of the features that the others versions will have? If the game shows itself to be a quality title, then we should support WB by purchasing it.

Re: Out Today: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (North America)

Urbanhispanic

I'm not going to lie; that special edition bundle looks freakin' sweet. But I've always been the type to buy physical copies. So I'm actually torn between waiting for the physical release of The Wind Waker or picking the bundle up. Then, there's the rumor going around that Nintendo may release another special edition bundle with NSMBU & NSLU included. If it's true, then that is sweet too. By the way, I don't have a Wii U yet. :/

Re: Video: Let's Play DuckTales: Remastered - Episode I: The Moon

@theblackdragon

Back when I was growing up, the Disney afternoon was on WPIX (Channel 11) and played Disney cartoons from 2:30 PM to 5:00 OM. Then on every Saturday, ABC(Channel 7) had Disney mornings from 9AM to 11AM and played new episodes of everything I mentioned above and rotated shows with the new cartoons Disney released. Ahhh....the good ol' days.

It looked like Rory had a blast playing it even though he is a bit rusty.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

Urbanhispanic

I'd buy it if it came out for the Wii U. I like a lot of games ranging from the likes of Mario, Zelda and Metroid to Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, God of War and the GTA series (including the DS version.)

Just because I play some games that feature violence doesn't mean I can't appreciate other kinds of games that don't glorify or overdo it.

Re: Talking Point: Marketing Wii U to the Masses

Urbanhispanic

I agree with the points made about their marketing attempts. No matter what or how good the games are, if people outside of the Nintendo community do not know that the Wii U is NOT the Wii, then even the best games released for the Wii U will not sell. Just look at Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101; two excellent games that should be selling way more copies.

Re: Review: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Wii U eShop / NES)

Urbanhispanic

I have the NES original cartridge (with box and manuals) and the GBA cartridge as well. I actually played it a lot back in the days and really my only complaint was that it didn't have a second quest like the first game. I don't get all the hate it received but you can't please all gamers especially when it's part of a popular Nintendo franchise. The fact that it's different from the first title is part of what makes it standout. For those of you still on the fence, it's worth checking out and kudos to everyone who mentioned Battle of Olympus and Crystalis (two awesome games!)
