Re: Former Nintendo Employee Admits He's Frustrated With Switch Online

Travisemo007

It's rubbish compared to ps+ and gamepass etc. Give us a consistent handful of eShop games each month and I'll be satisfied , just like the other rival services, yaknow relevant games, not chalkdust from an old blackboard found in some ancient Japanese school from 100 years ago. I have to agree with the guy in the article. Newish games would make it more worth what they have it costing now. Either that or lower it back to $30 for the year, preferably $25. The 64 games were good but not an additional $30 good. Should just been an extra $6-$10 upgrade cost. I actually liked it when Nintendo was the only game company that had free* online service. I wouldn't mind if it went back to free99 either.

Re: Bandai Namco Is Creating A "Gundam Metaverse"

Travisemo007

@TheRedComet that was kinda my point. They are pretty different design wise lol. But also was just pointing out that cooler designs won me over. Just felt gundams were a bit too samey for me or as you said military. Which I agree with. Robotech def had some good games for sure. My neighbor owned some I had the opportunity to exp. Now if they could just take the custom robo mechs and put them in a Gundam arena viewing angle wise, rather than top down.

Re: Bandai Namco Is Creating A "Gundam Metaverse"

Travisemo007

@TheRedComet um what. Lol. Custom robo for GameCube has better mech and weapon variation and designs is all I'm saying. Personal opinion having played it and tried some Gundam games b4. Custom robo may not be the same step inside (cockpit) mech concept. But the designs are much cooler imo.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Travisemo007

I liked the first one. Just having sonic appear in our world for the first time is as exciting as the first episode of sonic x cartoon was for me. Tho I probly liked that more lol. Idk if sonic 2 will have the same feel, but I'm down to see it either way! Sonic was my fav pc game growing up, and was a childhood hero of mine. Rather than say....a fireman lol

Re: Random: New Disney Pixar Movie 'Turning Red' Makes For The Perfect Super Mario Mashup

Travisemo007

Things I got from this movie: first impressions, ugh conservative/sheltered upbringing lifestyle, probly not gonna like it, main character doesn't seem great. After watching some of it, def covers the Asian stereotype wether true or not, has some 2000 refs which I liked, and I actually digged the friend characters over the main. Tho the red panda form was 👌 and fun haha, could call it the exception. Overall the movie was good and exceeded my expectations once I gave it a chance. Def better than emcanto 🙄😆. Encanto felt short, too Pixar cheezy musically, and I liked the red panda differention much better. Hope they continue this rounte in the future. I wouldn't pay to see encanto. Red panda is worth a few bucks. To be fair tho, I watched both for free. I feel red panda had more plot/story. Encanto practically none. 🤷‍♀️

Re: These Genki: Waveform Earphones Let You Stream And Mix Two Audio Sources

Travisemo007

@valcoholic I'm mainly referring to the in ear silicone part of it and the way it makes ones ears feel. And how most earbuds have that now instead of the non in ear non silicone design that apple earbuds were known for, not counting the airpod pros which have the same silicon ear plugs design I dislike. As far as how any look style/astetic visually wise, that's never really been a selling point for me. When it comes to earphones n buds, sound quality and comfort is what I care about. Apple earbuds have stood out to me as the all around best option I've tried. Only issue I have with airpods is windows has problems making their volume too quiet and sometimes pairing issues to PC.

Re: Random: Reggie Fils-Aimé Doesn't Think Much Of Facebook's Metaverse

Travisemo007

@WaveBoy there is that headstrap with magnetic swappable batteries for like $40-$60 now. Forgot what brand. Also I'm in the minority, but I prefer the quests og sound as to me increases immersion and has a surround sound like I'm actually there feel. So I'm good without headphones lol. And same! Can't wait to see what Cambria is all about and releases. I like the sound of psvr2s specs but, can't do with the cord. I trip always or feel it and it just pulls me out.

Re: Random: Reggie Fils-Aimé Doesn't Think Much Of Facebook's Metaverse

Travisemo007

@WaveBoy actually I was a believer of VR when I owned the quest 1 for awhile before fb takeover, and a cool Dragonball like pov demo I tried at an event. I did try the psvr for a bit, all I can say there is that PlayStation has a great selection of vr games and cheap digital sales on them compared to others. However I found the headset itself for most games too blurry for me, and a bit too foggy. Along with tripping over the cord alot breaking immersion. Imo quest 2 is what actually brought VR mainstream, but if you tell me psvr did too, I won't argue. I know alot of ppl bought one and it's popularity. Both have made descent contributions. Vr is chugging full steam ahead becuz of both. Fb is asss* but they did bring VR to more consumers at an affordable cost. So I can't complain. And let's not look over what the areo has done. Sure it's not complete or affordable. But dam are the visuals not surreal asf. I can't wait till a headset brings those visuals at an affordable cost in a complete form. It has me drooling. I have heard great things about res 7 and astrobot. Quest also has alot of fun games now that aren't just expierences. Some may complain about the length of games HOWEVER, I think most are perfect. Having size limitations makes developers focus on fun rather than filler, imo is better than say 50gb+ games of today. I think the same could be said for retro games of the past. Not counting the RPGs that have hours of play lol, haven't fit those into the equation. But I've always been a variety man anyway. Haven't completed too many games except the first few series of Pokemon and like a few other games lol.

Side note, when the 3ds was first announced, I thought the games would all be shadowbox style visually. I was dissapointed slightly but also relieved. I actually thought starfox 64 was beautiful in 3D.

Re: Video: TT Games Talks About 'Building The Galaxy' In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Travisemo007

Actually there has. OG star wars battlefront. Tbh this game reminds me alot of it. As well as the first few Lego starwars games. Which is a good thing. Played alot of both as a kid. The movies were boring imo, but the games were pretty fun. The only star wars movie I actually could stay awake thru that I liked was the force awakens. All movies before it, basically the OG movies put me to sleep midway lol.

Re: My Little Pony Inspired Release Them's Fightin' Herds Rated For Switch

Travisemo007

@Snatcher honestly 4 me, characters first, balancing later. It can be kinda thrilling to have some characters randomly stronger than others at least for the first playthru. IRL not everyone in a fight has the same strength. Some fighting games are too balanced imo lol. I understand the small team thing tho. I've no exp with game design, so I imagine your right. However it's just the standard I have with the genre and or what I've seen mostly.

Re: My Little Pony Inspired Release Them's Fightin' Herds Rated For Switch

Travisemo007

@Snatcher nah, if the animation was shet, I wouldn't even bother lol. Would be worthless. $0. I disagree. $10 or less. Tho $8 is my not feeling I've lost anything price. As at face value that's wat it looks to me. And I love fighting games. But this just doesn't have enough there quite yet. At least to make it worth shelling more money for.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Chocobo GP

Travisemo007

@BenAV I'd argue those reasons are exactly why it's a good reason for chocobo gp to exist here. Mario kart for some has gotten stale. Chocobo offers a somewhat freshtake for those looking something non Mario in the karting genre that's newish. Like myself.
