Update [Fri 11th Mar, 2022 13:30 GMT]: It's official! Spike Chunsoft has now confirmed that the Chaos;Head Noah / Chaos;Child Double Pack will be launching on 7th October.
Pre-orders are also now open for the Standard and Steelbook Launch Editions.
You can also check out the official website to see what's in store next for fans of the Science Adventure series.
Original story [Thu 10th Mar, 2022 10:30 GMT]: The next release in the Science Adventure series, which includes Steins;Gate Elite and Robotics;Notes Elite, is coming out in English on Switch on 7th October, according to Canadian retailer VideoGamesPlus.
The Chaos;Head Noah / Chaos;Child Double Pack, just like ROBOTICS;NOTES Double Pack, comes with two games in this popular visual novel franchise. What's most notable about this pack is that, while Chaos;Child has already had an English release on PS4, Chaos;Head Noah has not.
It looks like there's going to be a Steelbook edition for the game, with newly drawn art for the lead character, Rimi and Serika. It also includes some bonus costume DLC for Chaos;Head Noah.
While this hasn't been confirmed by publisher Spike Chunsoft or developer MAGES, it seems pretty likely that this retail listing is true, as MAGES was only just teasing details of an English release a few weeks ago. And, you know, there's a trailer and everything. So expect an official announcement from the publisher pretty soon!
Here's what to expect from the double pack:
The CHAOS series finally arrives on Nintendo Switch™ with this 2-games-in-1 double pack!
CHAOS;HEAD NOAH - Play as Takumi and use your "Delusion" to find the truth about a serial murder case called “New Generation Madness". Your delusion will change the endings!
CHAOS;CHILD - Play as Takuru and explore Shibuya in 2015, after an earthquake nearly leveled the city six years prior, and try to outsmart the puppet-master behind this New Generation Madness.
- Two delusions become one. Enjoy both Delusional Science Adventure Series in
one cartridge!
- Both games feature branching paths and multiple endings. Where will your
delusion take you?
- CHAOS;HEAD NOAH and opening movies have been remastered in HD,
including all the new songs made during the original CHAOS;HEAD NOAH port.
- Includes Japanese and English text and original Japanese in-game voice
The Switch has become a bit of a home for visual novels, and the Science Adventure series contains some of the best of the genre, so we can't wait to see what this pack brings. Probably some twists and turns, if previous games are anything to go by! Check out the short trailer at the top to get a sneak peek and satiate that excitement!

Welp, the Switch autumn is already filling up as well. To think the whole "word-semicolon-word" series is going to be available on one aptly portable console soon.
I swear, Japanese anime game developers would just open an English dictionary, pick any words that sound good and put them together to make the game title.
I love all the Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes games so I've been hoping that these would eventually get an English release on Switch as well. Super keen.
Loved Chaos;Child on Vita (even if the insane length had me playing for two months). I’ve always been super interested in playing the first game.
I'll probably wait to pick it up discounted. Already have Chaos;Child on the PS4 and not really made the time for it yet, and also have the Robotics;Notes double pack and not really gotten into it yet either. Should probably clear through at least R;N before worrying about buying more.
Though I guess could there could be some novelty in just starting from the beginning with the Science Adventure series, just do Chaos;Head and run from there.
@BenAV Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram still didn't received English language option on Nintendo Switch, and it's really disappointing. Game already have official English translation, so why they didn't released it with English language in all regions, not only in Japan. I wanted to play Steins;Gate some time ago, but after I found out that the Linear Bounded Phenogram is available on Switch but without English language option, I decided to give up on the series, to my sadness. Also, I wanted to play Robotics duology after playing as Kona Furugōri(Frau Kōjiro) in Phantom Breker: Battlegrounds, but due it's connected to Steins;Gate because they are in the same videogame series, I decided to give up on this too as well.
@Vyacheslav333 Yeah it's weird that they didn't give those an English release along with Steins;Gate 0 and My Darling's Embrace but I wouldn't let that stop you from checking out the mainline games if you're interested. Some of the best VNs I've played.
Sad that they did censor stuff in both games here (I wonder how much they changed/removed from Chaos Child compared to the older release)
Oh well time will tell.
@Vyacheslav333 had to get Steins Gate Elite to get Linear Bound Phenogram (it is bound to purchasing that game on PS4 or PC)
Wasn't planning to play Elite because I prefer the original, this made me play Elite and while I did enjoy it in the end, still the original release is better.
Yeaaah. I'm so happy but it's a little late in October.
I didn't understand this article - isn't Steins Gate Elite available on Switch since 2019?
Story sounds interesting, if I got some spare time I may pick it up someday.
@maulinks They just meant that the next installment in the Science Adventure series, Chaos;Head Noah/Chaos;Child, is coming to Switch.
Steins;Gate is a part of the Science Adventure series, as is Robotics;Notes so they felt the need to mention them since they're part of the same series as Chaos;Head.
@Erigen The title ChäoS;HEAd is meant to convey a sense of psychological panic. Chaos refers to chaos, head refers to the mental state of the protagonist. It is most likely stylized with a semicolon and unnaturally capitalized letters in order to further this frenetic feeling. Once you read it you will see that these are very apt descriptions of the story. The "NoAH" part refers to something important in the story and was added as a descriptor to distinguish the definitive version from the original pc version.
Hmm, cool, maybe someday I’ll actually go through one of these visual novels. Closest so far was that robot subway game, but never finished it… probably will though
Sounds like something for my future;backlog.
Can't wait to get these!
Absolutley mental. Messes with your mind more than anything. Kinda hard to follow plot wise.
Because the eShop doesn't have enough visual novels of skantly clad teenage girls already or anything.
@SteamEngenius If you think that’s all this is…hooo boy, are you in for a shock.
@SteamEngenius A very ignorant comment. Many visual novels have indepth stories and are in nature very complex. Yes there are those with the attributes you stated, but even some of those exceed beyond their superficial appearances. Next time you make a comment please make sure you know what you are talking about.
PreOrdered mine for the SteelCase the Japan version didn't have something like this.
@moodycat
Hey would you like at that, an EU PEGI release!
