@burgerkingsauce Completely agree! I don't get what people mean with "losing interest" or "the hype died down." Losing interest in what?! A game you haven't even played yet? Or a type of game that you did play already? It's like saying I lost interest in classical music because nothing new has been released in the past years.

And the hype carries interest in a game nowadays? Nonsense I say (was going for another word but kids can't read that). If the hype dies down, it's time for a realistic perspective on games, and maybe on your own life.

So please people, just play other things until this comes out. When it comes out, check if it's good. If it is, play it. That's it.

Almost fully agree! Except I think it does need a total overhaul. The original is probably one of the worst games I've ever played.

And I love me some NES games, don't get me wrong.

Awesome! An actual new game in this style. Much better than slapping this artstyle onto a game that was all good with its familiar artstyle.

To put things into perspective: Bowser's Fury has more content and is more fun than any 2D Metroid.

@Chamver Higher production values, they might even take longer. Metroid games take like eight hours, lol. Zero Mission around 4. I don't play interactive movies, but I don't pay 60 for this either.

@mcdreamer It's not. 2.5D is a very cheap way to develop games.

@Kilamanjaro This. Metroid games are way shorter than Castlevania ones, and Bloodstained was only 40.

If it's an 8 hour game like all other Metroids, absolutely not buying it. And Nintendolife's pushy article just put me off of it completely. I got a Hollow Knight to play.

Wasn't filled with bugs at all. You must have played the wrong version while everyone else just decided to enjoy the game the best they could, by playing the versions that WERE optimized.

Never heard of this game. Would have if it was actually critically acclaimed. Phones don't count and on Steam it has 92 reviews.

Fury has repetitive missions, but Odyssey doesn't? In Fury, missions always have a twist to them, even when the base objective is the same. In Odyssey, it's like 50 missions each repeated ten times.

Played it two years ago (thanks to emulation, hey). Pretty fun, but crazy hard! Funny how people don't know this pretty important game.

It's funny how Dark Souls suddenly seems a lot more accessible, with its easy warping.

@Rhaoulos Blossom Tales sure was awesome, but certainly one of the most blatant Zelda clones I've seen or played. Hazelnut Bastille is something to look out for, has a much more unique vibe to it.

@Chlocean It was framed as drag, always has been. Some people simply believe anything male that's portrayed as female equals gay.

This mostly shows a lot of people have a limited view on LGBT matters. There's only gay, and if it's portrayed feminine it's instantly a "misportrayal of gays," as there's only gays. But there's also men that enjoy to dress as women, there's people who doubt their own gender identity, not just their preferred gender of attraction.

@Ghostchip Except they're not gay. Time to stop seeing every male who is feminine as gay, please. It's pretty offensive.

@PBandSmelly You're not the first person who generalises gay people as being queer. Mother 3 isn't portraying gay people at all. Hell, Mother 2 portrayed a gay person and that's just a kid from Jeff's school, nothing different to it. Maybe stop thinking that if a male character acts feminine, they're meant to be gay. It hurts me as a gay person.

YOU take the shrooms to restore your health and not even at the Magypsies'. They have nothing to do with it. They're not portrayed as creeps either. This is actually queer culture. That has little to do with being gay.

The only reason their portrayal would freak people out, is because queers tend to freak people out when they have no idea what it's about.

@Ghostchip Except there's no gay people in Mother 3. There's one in Mother 2, and he's not badly portrayed at all. If you think Magypsies even CAN represent gay people, good or badly, then maybe you gotta have a talk with some gay people.

@LinkSword I've played the game five times, it's my favourite game of all time, but I still want others to play it. People who don't emulate etc. You really don't need to generalise people just because they want people to enjoy a game. Maybe it's a good idea to stop babying others around.
