I started playing NES Remix on my Wii U for old times' sake. I had forgotten how much fun it is! And Super Animal Royale as well. It is silly addictive shooting.
It is a great arcade/score-chasing builder game. Having sunk dozens of hours into the PC version, I'll be happy to buy it on Switch and play it on the go.
Knight Squad 2 comes out tomorrow and Nintendo decides to share an Indie World Showcase video. Coincidence? I think not. Knight Squad 2 is just that good. (I'm not joking, it is gonna be awesome and stupendous) (both the video and Knight Squad 2)
Our Day One Switch is starting to get ratty with a noisy fan and those irritating scratches on the glass from the dock. I would certainly pay $400 for a new and improved one ... as long as Nintendo makes transferring games and games' licenses between Switches easy.
94% positive Steam reviews, and that from the notoriously fickle futuristic/AG racing crowd. I can vouch for how good it is, and will buy it again on Switch. And don't sleep on the soundtrack just because the trailer disappointed. It is FULL of what-you-would-swear is mid 1990's techno goodness. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fvWG7gv3HE&list=PLC2bnzhMrmPM3QHQl45BCEVChNU3WFttp&index=12&t=2780s
@nessisonett Technically Simon is NOT a doctor; between all the hijinks and astrology he is desperately trying to become one. As such ... zero ethical issues ; )
Coitus post consultatio is an interesting screen shot for Nintendo Life to share. And no mention of Mary Payne? Her choral introductions are the most ... fa la la la la.
@Sourcecode The "pop-up book" look to the game is just the way the game is presented artistically. I has naught to do with any gameplay and is certainly not a core aspect of the game anymore than having music in game makes a game a musical. And speaking of music in Astrologaster: it is brilliant, bawdy, and biting. The character introductions in each scene set the comic mood perfectly in a time period appropriate way. Astrologaster isn't a puzzle/action game like Tengami; it is more akin to a choose-your-own-adventure literature game. I don't think there are ANY similarities to be found between the two outside of their paper presentation.
Day One buyer here, and had a great time with ZombiU, Super Mario Bros U, Little Inferno and Nano Assault Neo. I wasn't very good at it, but after filling up my friends list from a forum thread here, Nano Assault Neo became my favorite Wii U game for the leaderboards and Miiverse. Soon after launch we picked up Skylanders Giants; I watched my kids sink about 500 hours into that game before the next Skylanders game came out in 2013. I loved, and still love, my Wii U.
As a Transformers' fan from the 80's: it looks alright to me. Perhaps not the cartoon style I loved, but it looks honest to the Cyberverse universe. I didn't see where Decepticons are not playable, but that would definitely be a miss from my point of view. Color me on the fence until there is some more actual gameplay & info.
In terms of ludicrous impossibility: Black Ops 2. Activision would never do it, but it sure would be fun to play an upgraded version of its multiplayer (even with microtransactions galore) with a significant playerbase. With no other CoDs coming to Switch, I imagine it would sell pretty well, particularly if it was not also released on other consoles. As such, it also would not complete with a new CoD ...
I'm early into Mekorama, but don't be fooled by the mobile look and background: some of these levels require real patience and close attention to solve. This is no shovelware; it is a quite legitimate and fun game.
Just started watching the series and shockingly, my wife is enjoying it. She hates cartoons, she hates games, she hates vampires and horror films ... but she likes this. I'll go with it as long as I can?
Already pre-ordered Zombie Army Trilogy (and this after playing it on PS4) and cannot wait to get 2 more copies for my sons to play with me in local co-op! If I can tear them away from ACNL, that is.
So glad to hear Virtuos is porting this and not 2K in house. I feel pretty confident this will be a good port and not as riddled with some of the issues that the PS4 port had.
Hidden in Plain Sight. Yeah, it has been out in one form or another for almost 9 years (starting as an Xbox indie game!) but it is perfect for the Switch and really deserves both more publicity and legitimate criticism/appreciation. But it is a niche title that really only the Switch is designed to take full advantage of ...
This would be great to play with my 2 sons via wireless co-op ... but then I've got to buy 3 copies to make that work. $90 may be a bit much to pull that off right now, and I'd like to see some streams or taped gameplay of the wireless co-op in action first.
This was a Playstation Plus game several years ago; it is a quite good puzzle game that adorably wears its Tetris-love on its sleeve. It did have a creative mode to make your own puzzles, although I could never put it all together well enough to make anything particularly interesting or difficult. It is a perfect game for Switch, though!
Top of my list for 2020 games. Not even joking ... when you have an 11 & 13 year old in your house to collaborate with (as we did with Overcooked and Overcooked 2) this is THE greatly anticipated title. The only thing better for co-op couch than this would be a new Mario Kart.
Wait: this game's soundtrack is done by Bignic? Of Domina fame (well, relative fame)? That alone will get me to buy it. His soundtrack for Domina is stupendously good. Future Grind looks a bit like an endless runner allied to the Trials series and a rhythm music game, which sounds incredibly difficult for the likes of me. For a little over a $1 I'll try it though.
Pikmin 3 would be nice, but it needs to offer more than just a simple port. Extra levels or something - not just the HD videos! - should go with it if Nintendo wants us to pay $60 all over again. I'm not holding my breath about a Pikmin trilogy release. Nintendo just doesn't like our money THAT much!
541 hours, 26 games. Fortnite led the way, of course, but my 3rd-most played game? BurgerTime Party!!!! Bet no one saw that coming! And Ape Out was #2 : )
I love Ape Out and Broforce; two games quite unlike any other and quite worth playing. I take it Katana Zero is the next game I should pick up from Devolver?
While it looks pretty simple - and it is a pretty simple hack n slash game with no rpg mechanics involved - it is very fun. Not particularly difficult but quite engaging. And LOADS of skins and silly weapons to use!
Shin'en is Nintendo-speak for genius. Jest aside, they are one of the most under-rated games developers out there; every game they make is just plain fun. I fully expected The Touryst to be more of the same!
If you are a big fan of local multiplayer games, Headsnatchers is discounted $10 off its normal $14.99 price ... making it just $4.99 right now. It looks like something me and the family can sink some fun local play into for a while.
Inferno 2. I waited a long time to see a Radiangames' game make it to console again, and it did not disappoint. Maybe we'll get a review by Nintendo Life?

Don't sleep on Boomerang Fu. Such a simple delight that is well worth the $6 or so.
Re: Plunder Panic Will Bring Multiplayer Chaos Next Year
It seems a little bit like Killer Queen Black. That's not a bad thing, mind you.

Time for Shin'en to share some news. Hopefully.

Good to see Draknek is releasing all their games on Switch. They are all wonderfully challenging!
Re: A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build, But You Can Try Anyway Later This Year
A wonderful and well-balanced puzzle game. A bit easier than Cosmic Express, too.

Yes, this is clearly the only reason why I am so bad at Apex Legends.
Re: Wipeout "Love Letter" BallisticNG Is Speeding Onto Switch
@superderper In the words of this mid-90's raver: #$%^ dance, let's art. Although I imagine the translation is lost to those who were not there! : )
Re: Wipeout "Love Letter" BallisticNG Is Speeding Onto Switch
@BloodNinja Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.
