I gave up on this game the moment I learned it would only be Awakening, Fates, and Shadow Dragon. Sure, IS, just limit us to characters from the worst entries in the franchise, will ya!

I'd like to at least see youtube and netflix? My computer tends to take a long time to load stuff, and I don't have a new enough tv to have apps on it (or, when I'm at college, a tv at all) so using a game system is the only way I can watch stuff on a screen bigger than my phone without a ton of hassle...

I don't know. The 3D was fun, and I played with it on a lot, but at the same time I kind of resent it because it resulted in a lot of games having to take place on the top screen even when the touch screen would have been better - like Fire Emblem and Ace Attorney. In general, the two-screen gameplay is what I'm really going to miss more than the 3D.

Games, PLEASE games. Not having a real killer app - not to mention not even having a real title for most of Nintendo's big IPs - really hurt the wii u.

I'm just really sad that the demise of the Wii U seems to be bringing with it the end of Nintendo using dual-screen gameplay, because that is an amazing feature that makes it incredibly hard to go back to using menus and such the old way...

The dual-screen possibilities were a vital part of what made the (3)DS line great, and for all its flaws, the wii u bringing that to consoles was amazing. This is a gigantic step back for map and inventory management, when more and more things should be becoming available from a second screen, not less. I can't imagine how many times I'm going to wish I could switch out inventory or check the map on the fly in Breath of the Wild. This isn't a 100% deal breaker, but it's definitely a terrible step backwards.

@hmmnotsure Haven't you ever been on a long car trip and wished you could keep playing a console game you were in the middle of? Have you never wanted to bring a console to college instead of a handheld but not wanted to risk it breaking in the luggage or spend money on a TV? THAT is the market.

I have to say, I have a feeling I'll be really hoping for a Nintendo Switch XL... Those controllers look way too small for my hands... @_@

Looks good, but I have to say that the console + cradle combo looks a little ugly imo? Like, the way that just a little bit of the console pokes out over the wall and such... Still, I'm looking forward!

Still missing everything good about Paper Mario, still using the boring 2D Mario settings and characters instead of a colourful cast. Don't care how decent of an adventure game might be, I am not supporting this.

Sounds better than 9 and 10, but I still want to see another game in the style of 5-7...

@Ed_Fairway Yeah, that's basically my feeling. Barring the lack of music, which sucks, I have no doubts that I'll enjoy the heck out of this game - but that doesn't mean it's necessarily gonna have what I look for in a /Zelda/ game, you know?

Paper Mario and Mario Party were my favorites, but unfortunately they've both gone to the dogs recently... I also like the Mario & Luigi series, but I feel like it needs to take a bit of a break to refresh itself and make more games as good as the first three.

Yeah, removing Facerubbing was definitely for the best. However, we're all ignoring the REAL issue with the Fates localization: The war on French! Benny? NINA? Eponine was the perfect name for a character with a righteous thief complex! It was a frigging Les Mis reference, for crying out loud! Why would you replace that with something as generic as Nina?

What're Partners In Time and Bowser's Inside Story, chopped liver?

I feel conflicted about Corrin. On one hand I don't think we needed another FE rep, but on the other hand Corrin actually looks pretty fun to play.

Yeah, in retrospect there was basically no chance of this not happening wasn't there XD Well, I'm still just holding onto hope that we get Isaac and a Tales character.

I definitely like the reference; it's a nice little nod. Especially since Smash Bros. singlehandedly brought FE to us, I don't think FE can be ungratefull... x3

Apart from the sheer insult to Metroid fans, it wasn't really that bad of an E3? Mostly it just left me thinking, "That's it? They gave us one big game and a ton of spinoffs." I mean, Mario and Luigi x Paper Mario was the only one that I really have no objections to, and even it wasn't quite what we were looking for, you know? I would have still rather seen TYD 2.0...

I was super hyped for this right up until they said that the competitive elements were removed and you all share the same health meter. Come on, fighting for force gems was the best part of FSA! Where's the fun if you can't screw each other over?

Ooh, Nintendo! You're so funny! We asked for a Metroid game and so you gave us a Metroid spinoff! That's super clever and we're totally happy with this turn of events!

No! Nonononono! We've seen what happens when you try to make Paper Mario into a gimmick-puzzles game! We do not need another Sticker Star! We do not need some dumb origami gimmick replacing the game we know and love! Just give us the sequel to Paper Mario and Thousand-Year Door we've been waiting for since the wii!

(Note that i actually really like Super Paper Mario - I just think we're way overdue to a return to the original formula.)

The slight weapon triangle change doesn't really bug me, except insofar as the fact that it means we still have the stupid Archanea magic system that nobody likes.... Goshdarnit, just give us back the GBA Magic Triangle!

@ollietaro Myself, I'd love to see a console version of Blazing and Binding Blade, with a mainly remastered Blazing and a completely rebalanced Binding, along with some sort of alteration on the level of the Radiant Dawn bonuses from a completed Path of Radiance file to the children of Blazing Blade characters.

Infinite weapon use sucks and phoenix mode is just stupid. At least Dragon Pulse sounds neat, and maybe Guard Mode'll be the return of Rescue...

I just want Gamecube games on Wii U and DS/GBA games on 3DS...

I lost all trust in this review the moment it said that keeping the ruined system from MP9 instead of the formula that was fun and loved was a good idea.

I'd like to see a Smash Bros anime.

Hehe, that reminds me of Tales of Symphonia... While practically multi-disc games can be a pain because there's more to potentially lose, i rather like the way that they can clearly seperate acts.

I dislike that we're getting more Kanto megas while still neglecting Hoennese pokemon that desperately need them, like Flygon, but I just can't get worked up over it when we're finally getting to fly across the overworld under our own power :3 I guess that Hoenn is just the region of extra movement modes x3 Two different bikes, half of the region is made out of Surfing, and now the region's remakes introduce fully-controlled flight :3 Plus, they finally have an actual excuse for sky battles

They honestly should have just made the codes a Club Nintendo reward for a reasonable amount of coins/stars. The way they did this not only left the majority of the population (like those who couldn't get to platinum last year because we were SAVING UP FOR SMASH BROS.) seething, but also threw Miiverse and pretty much every gaming forum into chaos.

Even with the MicroSD, we can still use our old SD cards, though, right? It would suck if we had to get new SD cards. I'm also not liking the backwards step with the styluses... Still, it looks awesome. I was planning to get a 3DS XL for smash, but now I'm going to wait for the New! Ugh, though, I sure hope they come up with a better name

What we really need is another real Paper Mario RPG game. Seriously, we do not need another game like Sticker Star that pretends to be paper mario but removes all of the great RPG elements!

I'm really interested in playing as Villager and Mega Man, but the Wii Fit Trainer? REALLY? Why add her when we could have had someone like Lloyd Irving?

@fluggy You evidently do not understand the concept of a remake. The POINT is that it's playing THE ORIGINAL GAME with improved features and graphics, not that it's a totally different game with the original story. Anyways, the Resident Evil series sucks.
