Project X Zone 2 is shaping up to be a particularly intriguing sequel, with the IP mash-up RPG throwing in a diverse range of characters; that includes some from developer Monolith Soft and Nintendo's IPs.
An updated list that can be added to the roster has now come out from the latest issue of Famitsu - out of these Shenmue's Ryo Hazuki, Capcom Fighting Evolution's Ingrid and Tales of Vesperia's Estelle have already been revealed in the past, but newcomers included infamous Cockney robot of death Metal Face (Xenoblade Chronicles), Street Fighter's M. Byson and another arrival from Fire Emblem: Awakening.
Solo Units:
- Ingrid (Street Fighter Zero 3↑, an arcade re-release of Street Fighter Alpha 3)
- Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue)
- Estelle (Tales of Vesperia)
Enemy Characters:
- M. Bison (Street Fighter)
- Pyron (Dark Stalkers)
- Black Hayato (Star Gladiator)
- Ranmaru (Sakura Wars V)
- T-elos (Xenosaga)
- Metal Face (Xenoblade)
Characters Appearing in Event Scenes:
- Ada Wong (Resident Evil 6)
- Miles Edgeworth (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney)
- Garigliano (Resonance of Fate)
- Tarosuke (Yokai Dochuki)
- Tiki (Fire Emblem: Awakening)
It's another pleasing list, and we're particularly looking forward to the cameo from the dashing Miles Edgeworth.
Are you excited about this one's arrival in the West early next year?

MANADO BOIIIII!
OF COURSE!
Edgeworth. That is all.
Shulk: THIS IS THE POWER OF THE MANADO slices metalface in half
It's M. Bison, not Byson.
@simonthomas6
Your comment made me laugh, thanks
@Zach777 no problem lol
More Edgeworth is always edgeworth it.
Get out, you say? Okay, but first I'll say that I'm glad T-elos is back, and that Tiki is another welcome cameo. Getting out now.
With Nintendo involvement looks like this sequel will beat the first one (which is a good game)
M. Byson...? Who the hell is that?!
I, for one, am just happy there's more Resonance of Fate content, even if only a little. I wasn't expecting that.
''you will pay for what you did against the emperor and FIORRRAAA!!!'' thats what i say when i battle metal face xD
Why is this game not in my 3ds yet?! Seriously I'm excited. Also Dictator's western name is M. Bison.
Just imagine all the Edgeworth shippings you can create now fangirls. XD
"Fancy meeting all of you here!"
Bah, now I'll have to buyit
@sWiTcHeRoO Thank God, I thought it was just me
Yes already got this pre-order. Hope it's better than the first game.
I love the first game though it is taking me an age to finish.
I have very few complaints but I completely understand why many aren't keen, it's very slow going and the story's as daft as you'd expect. I'm easily pleased with this kinda of mash-up/SRPG thing.
It's Bison. Not Byson.
lets keep it m byson. im a right winger
The title is all i needed to hear. Pre-ordered.
Aw heck yeah, I'm gonna get this. Metal Face is the best!
When is this out?
@LinkSword 2edgeworthy4me
...Can ya'll please fix the typo? It is M. Bison.
M.Byson. Could that typo be any more ironic? =)
Quick fact - In SFII M.Bison was originally the name of the boxer character, a direct caricature of Mike Tyson. The boss names were later rotated in order to avoid potential lawsuit.
@dariusq Everybody knows about that already, but here's one other quick fact. Mike Bison, the boxer was suppose to be the same guy from Street Fighter I (Mike). He was even name that in the game, reason why the Bison part was not shown was because the in-game text box are few digit short. When SFII was made, Ryu, Ken, Mike and Sagat are set to return, problem is like Johnny Cage from MK where earlier games have him as just Cage and later return as Johnny Cage, Mike return as Mike Bison (his full name) but because Capcom fear that the real Mike Tyson would file lawsuit, they just rotate his name alongside Balrog and Vega. Instead of using his plan name Mike Bison, they turn him into a new character, Balrog. Another assumption may be that like Raiden and Big Bear (same guy, different name) in Fatal Fury, Balrog may had been just his stage name and not his real name so he could still be Mike but only use Balrog as his stage name instead.
