Re: UK Retailer GAME Cancels A Bunch Of Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders

SuperJoon

I really don't understand how Game is still going. Its latest financials show they made a year on year 11.2m loss. How can Mike Ashley keep ploughing money into something that is clearly not working, and especially when things like this happen, I personally can't see them being around for much longer.

Re: Nintendo Details Plans For EGX 2019, Go Hands-On With Pokémon, Zelda, Luigi's Mansion And More

SuperJoon

@nessisonett Yeah. Its more of the fact that its more of a hassle, im not driving and parking up in London, at least at the NEC there was parking I could get to easily.

It was pricey, but I didn't mind paying it. If I didn't drive to London, I would then have to get a train, more cost on top, plus travel and and around London getting to the event.... All seems to build up and as I found on a trip last year, taxis are expensive!

Dragons Dogma for me. Cuphead and My Time at Portia will also be on the list.

Hob is also releasing, Ace Attorney I've never played, not sure whether I would be interested in them, but with Dragons Dogma, that game is big enough to keep my attention for a while.

May also consider Katana Zero as well. Also have Yoshi today as well, which I know isn't April, but it's still in close proximity to other games.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Releasing Two New Versions Of Switch This Year

SuperJoon

I would definitely welcome a pro version. Especially if it's more powerful and gets more third party games on board.

Budget I can see why they would go there, family gamers who don't play that often, those who want it as family time etc.

My only reservation is that would the pro version alientate the consumer? Say EA can get Battlefield V etc running on the pro, but not the standard Switch.... What happens here?

I understand people who want to upgrade and want the more powerful device would upgrade, but the lower income families who cant afford too, are they going to be left out?

Just like Xenoblade on New 3DS. They've done it before, so doesn't mean they wouldn't do it again.

Re: Expect More Xbox Live-Enabled Games To Come To Switch Over The Next Year

SuperJoon

I cna only see this as a positive thing. MS don't want to go into the handheld area, so what better way than to give Nintendo a massive hug and say.... We can put lots of stuff on your system.... Wanna play...

To which Ninty has gone... Yes please...

In terms of games, if the rumours of gamespass by xcloud are true, then the Forza, Gears etc would come through that.

Would love a native State of Decay or Fable Trilogy on Switch. I think E3 maybe very interesting this year...

Re: Random: eBay Scammer Tricks Hundreds Of Customers Into Buying Non-Existent Switch Consoles

@BenAV

When you consider the price is still at £279 or near pretty much everywhere, £50 off to me anywhere would be considered too good to be true. Especially when they're decent bundles available if you look around.

However, as he was a top seller etc, that would make it seem believable. Played the long game by getting his rating up, then screwed loads of people over.

Re: Nintendo Issues Official Statement Regarding The Allegations Made Against Nintendo Russia CEO Yasha Haddaji

@Mogster @wolfgabe

This is exactly what they would do. There would have been people close enough to him to be able to temporarily hold the role while a replacement is found, or someone who would have been next in line (so to speak)

Every business can identify talent within and it wouldn't surprise me if people would have been earmarked as potential or someone externally marked as an ideal replacement.

Either way, they can sack him on the spot and be in a good enough position to get someone promoted within or keep the seat warm while the recruitment process takes place.

Re: Nintendo Switch Now Supports Digital Game Sharing, But There's A Catch

SuperJoon

The one thing Im getting with this is that while the games can be shared across 2 Switches, those 2 cannot play the same game together.

So me and my wife wouldn't be able to play Splatoon 2 together or Mario Kart, because as soon as I start playing it's going to pause the game on my wifes Switch.

So, by the sounds of it, I can play Zelda on mine while my wife plays Splatoon or Mario Kart on her (All games are part of my account.)

Am I right?

@Jamietmob You're not the only one, as hard as I try I'm the same, keep banging into the Walls too. Went from first to last in the blink of an eye.

Terrible mechanics.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U vs Xbox One - Online Requirements and On-Disc DRM

SuperJoon

@Yamagushi Ive done it loads of times where ive borrowed off my neighbour, enjoyed the game so much ive gone out and bought the game new. Fable 2 and 3 being my example. My wife enjoyed them so much as well that she bought copies for her own Xbox. So we could play together in each others games.

These i dont believe are rare cases. I think loads of people do it, im not saying that people dont just borrow and play and dont buy the game themselves, i just think you've made a mountain out of a molehill over the amount of people that do it.
