@MS7000 - I recommend giving it a chance; it's one of my all time favorite Switch games. And, for what it's worth, I also (passionately) despise Rabbids.
This guide was very helpful to me; thank you! I wasn't sure what all the targeting options and power-ups were (especially the negative consequences). I still have one question though and I feel dumb, but... what am I trying to do in "Blind Time Attack" mode? The game says "clear the whole maze", but... that doesn't seem to do anything. If the maze is empty except for one remaining fruit, when you eat that fruit, it's not empty anymore. Am I trying to get to a certain level or something?
I'd buy digital, but if my kid wants to play a game I bought for the family on his own Switch, Nintendo won't let him. With a cartridge, there's no problem. Until Nintendo fixes this silliness, I will always buy physical whenever possible.
I'd go bananas if they started bringing Dreamcast games to Switch. Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, and Seaman would be amazing. Although, that last one would require a microphone so that seems extremely unlikely.
@TheFox : The new game has a mode named River Survival that is similar in that everyone is travelling together (and working together). Maybe you'd enjoy that mode?
@BornInNorway81 - I've played about half of the Mario Party games and, in my opinion, Mario Party 10 is the worst of all of them. I'd recommend not judging the series on that one entry (you might dislike better Mario Party games for other reasons, but not for the reasons you dislike Mario Party 10).
Remember, you don't need the limited-edition, themed console, nor the special edition copy of the games to enjoy the "no cloud saves allowed" feature for this title.
@Mii_duck Thanks Mii_duck! It's still pretty active here. On Pokemon Go Community Days especially, there are over a hundred people that congregate at our small, local library (which has a lot of pokestops). There is barbecue, raffles, etc. and everyone has a good time sharing the experience. Over the last couple of years, we've made several friends playing the game and it seems like it will last a long time, yet. That's why it's especially sad for my son; everyone is enthusiastically having fun with this, and he's completely banned from participating. I wish The Pokemon Company would step in and compel Niantic to permit kids to play their Pokemon game.
@Mii_duck I agree; that's how I feel. But even so, they could do what most companies do and that would be to establish me as the parent for the minor's account and then allow me to approve/reject any friend requests. We mainly just want it to trade among our family members, gift each other, and raid together (you get attack bonuses if you're with friends, etc.).
Kids are banned from taking part in any of this. My son was so excited to trade with me and was devastated when we found out he was disallowed from taking part; no friends, no trading, no alolan eggs, nothing. That's what I get for trying to do the right thing and not lie about about his age (and now there's no way to go back and change it).
@ShadJV I thought maybe it was referring to June of last year, but that seemed too early. I checked and, sure enough, the first Gen 3 weren't released until October 20, 2017. So, as you correctly pointed out, they had to have changed the date and, for some reason, they set it to a date in the future. Wacky.

Why publish this article?

I think this game has an interesting place in gaming history. If the price is right, I'll pick up a copy just to have it. They've got to price this right, though. More than $30 will doom it. $20 though, and I wouldn't hesitate.
@PewnyPL No worries- I didn't know you knew this and wanted to help, but I am concerned about using USB-PD compliant batteries, now. Maybe I should stick with old, USB-A for the time being to ensure it is only 5V, as you say. It makes me sad though because I paid a premium for my fancy, fully-compliant, USB-PD battery.
@PewnyPL Actually, it's not clear that you're aware and USB-C w/ PD don't only give 5V and that's specifically what is being questioned (are they safe?).
I think the best part about this sort of thing is that it drives down the price of the lesser cards. 128 - 256 will eventually become cheaper because of this. Memory and storage have both always had a sweet spot where you get a lot for a reasonable price. This ratchets the sweet spot upwards.
I thought this was a really great game; I played it a lot as a kid. I didn't ask for it, though. The fact that I received it at all (as a Christmas gift) is probably due to this box art.
This was genuinely helpful- I couldn't understand what was going on with those high jumps and this illustrated it perfectly. It's a perfect introduction to these kinds of trick jumps, imo. Thanks!
I've purchased several digital-only games for my family using my own account. If I ever want a personal Switch for myself (which, I kind of want already, to be honest), I'm screwed because the rest of my family will no longer have access to any of the games I bought. This, right here, is why I buy cartridges whenever possible. Nintendo desperately needs a "family" concept where we can share games within our family.
For me, cloud saves (or at least SOME way to back up save data) is #1 on the list, before Netflix or anything else. I'm terrified of taking my Switch out of the house (which is arguably the whole point of the system) because I know if anything happens, I'll lose all of my save data in all of my games. That's bananas.
This was a reasonably fun puzzle-ish sort of game that I 100%-ed on Android a couple of years ago. I'll pay $5 for this on the Switch, I think. I do agree with the sentiment that these sorts of phone games should be sandboxed somehow in the eShop.
The only reason I buy physical is so that I can play a game on additional systems. If Nintendo would get away from their silly "games are tied to a console" way of doing things, I'd be happy to abandon physical.
I don't like Tower Control so when Nintendo decides I have to play it, I basically can't even play the game. This is not a good way to structure things, imo.

Mine has gotta be my Luigi's Mansion figurine/diorama. Although I do also love the playing cards and the gold nunchuks!

@stevenw45 I was answering your question. I pressed "reply" to the question you asked:

and my answer was:
"It's necessary because that's how you hatch eggs and earn buddy candy."
I'm posting this now in reply to your comment 2 comments ago, which was:
