Re: 'Ultimate' Zelda Switch Lite Comes With OLED Screen And Hall Effect Joysticks

Steven_the_2nd

@N64-ROX this mod is for those who already have a Switch lite, and don’t want to spend an extra $300+ for a Switch OLED. I have modded many Switch lite’s to have different shells, replaced displays, batteries, joy sticks, etc. Also Taki has said in previous videos that this screen is actually of better quality than what is in the Switch OLED. I will be changing out my Wife’s custom Rimuru Switch lite with these mods for sure, and possibly my custom Iron Blood Switch lite as well. I actually already have a Switch OLED, but Switch lite is much better for travel.

Re: Analogue Explains How It's Going To Deal With Scalping Amid Concerns Over Pocket Pre-Orders

Steven_the_2nd

@niner the others can be cranked out easily for other consoles as their main goal is quantity and not quality. I have bought many retro consoles like what you described.

They are not the best quality/have QC issues and some games play poorly if at all. Analogue is about quality over quantity and use FPGA chips which those cheap retro consoles don’t use at all. So all games work perfectly.

Re: Review: Burnout Paradise Remastered - Thrilling Open-World Racing Tempered By Blurry Visuals And A High Price

Steven_the_2nd

The list a con of "modern QOL" features, but fails to list them. Read the entire thing twice.

Also game looks great.

I have had it on everything it came out on. I 103% both PS3 and 360 versions, and just got it on the other versions cause its an amazing game. I have had friends tell me its super fun to play and really the price tag is the only downside.

Siting the price of the game as a con in a review is a bit amateurish. Also, the game was always blurry at fast speeds. You expect the world not to be blurry when zipping down the road at 120 mph?

Re: Random: Star Wars Rogue One Writer Wants Reggie On His Animal Crossing In-Game Talk Show

Steven_the_2nd

@Heavyarms55 First off thank you for presenting your comment in a civilized manner, secondly, he also wrote a lot of other things, that is just one of his latest credits. He is an accomplished comic book and novel writer as well. Gary Whitta is an amazing gentleman. One of the best guys on the internet.

Check him out on Animal Talking as well as Kindy Funny Games Daily's Whitta Wednesdays and a multitude of other shows.

He also, in the beginning, came onto Kinda Funny's shows bringing British snacks for them to try. It was a grand old time for sure.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Kickstarter Campaign Over Animal Crossing Copyright Infringement

Steven_the_2nd

@LuigiBattleTank you can certainly trademark it. Copyright, possibly, but it would need to be a very unique or recognizable art style.

They shouldn't really use the words Eevee or Pokemon in their Kickstarter, as they are trademarked, but I could see Nintendo reaching out and contacting them to remove those words. The art I could see them not having an issue with it because it has nothing to do with the art style. The colors are slightly off as well.

The AC passport holder used the exact logo with some lines in it, where as these pins do not use anything official on the pins themselves.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Kickstarter Campaign Over Animal Crossing Copyright Infringement

Steven_the_2nd

@LuigiBattleTank No need for the sarcasm... Its the leaf from the animal crossing logo. Also, that kickstarter is not infringement. That is fan art inspired by Pokemon. There is no correlation with that art style to Pokemon.

@Radbot42 There is a fine line between stealing official artwork or trademarked logos and creating artwork that is inspired by a licensed product and then selling that artwork.

The problem was they put the Animal Crossing trademarked and registered logo front and center on the folio.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Kickstarter Campaign Over Animal Crossing Copyright Infringement

Steven_the_2nd

They have reached an agreement to remove the leaf from the design as that was the main focus of the infringement. The Kickstarter is back.

They did not steal or use official artwork of any kind. This design was very much inspired by AC but uses no official artwork. Everything is hand-drawn by them. They removed the main leaf from the design which could be misinterpreted as an official Nintendo product.

Re: Save 30% On WayForward's Switch Library To Celebrate 30 Years

Steven_the_2nd

@Ralizah You are correct, Part 1 is on macOS and Apple Arcade. The game is stunning really on my iPhone 11 PM. Will be a bummer tho seeing it not as high res on the Switch. The entire game will release on all platforms quite soon I suspect since they said Spring 2020. Part 2 will more than likely be added in an update to the game on macOS and Apple Arcade.

Re: Introducing Dongii, The Dinkiest Nintendo Switch Dock We Ever Did See

Steven_the_2nd

@holygeez03 Yeah it is as everyone is saying. I actually have a Covert Dock and the durability of this thing is AMAZING. This Donkii looks like something similar but has other features as well. I am not sure if it has or will have the extensive testing that Human Things did to make sure their Covert Dock didn't brick any switches since this Donkii is an everything machine. I was a Kickstarter backer for the Genki Covert dock and I reviewed it below! This is now my go-to dock for my Switch.

Re: Is This Our First Real Look At Nintendo Switch Mini? Update: Company Responds

Steven_the_2nd

This is about as real as the news about a Switch Mini from NS Glasses. I received a press release from them for my site. I spoke with Alex about it and he also agreed that it was bogus. Had renders (Different ones than above) and the like. Also spoke with NS Glasses and claimed they too had secret info about the Switch Mini and it is coming out this summer. They also claimed we would hear more about it at E3. The Case listing also uses fan renders and mockups that have been around for a while. So yeah...

Re: Guide: How To Buy Nintendo Switch Games From The Japanese eShop - Region Free Accounts

Steven_the_2nd

@Moi No, you don't. I have had a Japanese account since launch along with my main NA account. I mostly play ALL games, no matter the region, on my NA account. Actually, some games automatically translate into English if you use your NA/UK account!. You can easily see if a Japanese game can be played in English by looking for these characters: 英語 (Eigo). These characters mean 'English' in Japanese. Some games don't have English listed, but they play in English!

Re: Cooler Finally Gets His Revenge In Dragon Ball FighterZ

Steven_the_2nd

@Heavyarms55 They hardly release a new DBZ fighting game every year. This is Dragon Ball FighterZ that came out last year that has become the definitive fighting game for DBZ fans. You should really check it out. Incredibly fun and just oozes with the charm of the series from the developers.

Everything is painstakingly made and really the game looks just like the show. No other DBZ fighting game has been made like this one.

Re: Ever Wondered How To Capture Video On Switch in Portable Mode?

Steven_the_2nd

@shani I don't see this being used at all. No reason to stream the Switch in handheld mode. You shouldn't be looking down at a screen anyways when streaming as you are not paying attention to your audience.

You can easily use any capture card out on the market to stream it or record it docked.

Yes yes, maybe to record the difference between it docked and undocked but really other than that, no reason to.
