If @ImDiggerDan is getting this game, I'm getting this game. Going to make some very difficult levels to share with @ImDiggerDan; time for some pay back
Funny, we just talked about this movie in the video game podcast that I'm part of. I ranked this as the worst video game related movie. My co-hosts disagreed and said they liked the movie.
I had high hopes for this movie, I think if I didn't have expectations, I might have liked it as well.
Merry Christmas to my favorite site; it's crew and the community. May the holidays bring joy to you all.
I'll be enjoying a whole week off of work, first time in ...Well I can't even remember when I had a full week off, especially for the holidays. I plan to get plenty of Pokémon Sun in, a good use of my time for sure
@ThomasBW84 maybe 2017 will bring "What are you playing this weekend?" to Nintendolife? That is my Christmas wish
This is an addictive game. And I haven't gotten so angry at a game since Mario Kart. Just when things seem to be going great, you mess up (or dealt a bad hand) and you want to cry. It's such a fun game and easy to put in a game or two...Or 15
@stegsaurus good article. One thing that frustrated me with the game was the tutorial. I just wanted to go out and catch Pokémon, but I understand why they included the tutorial.
I'll have to go to the local used game store to see if I can find it. They have 3 drawers full of GBA games, maybe I'll be lucky and find it hidden away
Super Castlevania IV has always been my favorite. When I was a kid, my friend and I decided to defeat Dracula at midnight on Halloween. We bought a bunch of Mt dew and Doritos for the epic battle. We ended up beating him around 10pm... still it was epically fun!
Right now I'm playing through Corpse Party. Playing that game with headphones on in the middle of the night is really freaky.
@FeatherlessDuck I totally agree with hating to have to buy more than one Switch. I thought the same when I saw the trailer.
I really liked the DS and 3DS, but I didn't care for the gamepad for the WiiU, I found it awkward. Granted, I only played Raymond, maybe other games would have user the gamepad better.
I'm more concerned with the horse power this system will have. Hasn't it already been confirmed that the new Mass Effect game isn't coming to Switch?
I just don't want to see Switch getting water downed versions of Ps4/Xbox one games.
I really like this game. I agree, the graphics really pop and the game play is pretty fun, once you get used to it. The story is also interesting, I'm about 1/2 through and there's been one case where I thought I was fighting the boss and then...nope, not the boss...I am having a lot of fun playing the game.
@World I live in a university town, so I really thought everything was going to be lured when school started again, it is actually more dead now than in the summer.
@ThomasBW84 I couldn't find this game. I first went to the locally owned new and used game store. They said they didn't have it, although they said they should be getting it soon. I went to Target, wasn't there. I went to Walmart, nope. I went to GameStop, they didn't have it either. I finally purchased it off eShop. I have gone back to these store since then seeing if they got a shipment, and no one has.
This could be one of the problems the game is facing. If you can't buy the game, it's not going to do well in the charts.
I'm planning on getting this game tonight or tomorrow. I know there's been a lot of negative response for this game but I have been pretty excited about it. I think the concept is cool and it's good to have online support. Reminds me a little bit of Helldivers.
@Savino lol when print newspaper was the new trendy thing to do, people have probably said, "look at those lemmings, with their nose in their newspaper." They probably used lemmings instead of zombies because, you know, zombies weren't a thing until the 1970s or so
So here's a question: if they are using the data to market things that I actually would be interested in, isn't that better than mindless marketing campaigns on commercials that have nothing to do with my interests. If the marketing materials are geared towards things I like, it's a win/win.
I suspect that this game will be popular for years to come. Just look at how long Pokémon has been around for. They'll have plenty of content to utilize.
I've run into so many people that said that this game will get them in shape. It'll be an interesting case study. Although they same was said about WiiFit, I'm not sure we are any more fit than before WiiFit.
I must say, the game is addicting. I live in a rural area, and I still find plenty of Pokemon around me. I can't wait to go into town. My coworkers were telling me there's a gym nearby our office. Pretty cool!
😞 I thought Nintendo was planning on the 3ds to carry them through the year. Not going to happen when nothing new releases. Although there are some big games coming next couple of weeks isn't there?
I'm really happy for you! I create comic books (in fact I'm working on a comic book about a mobile game a friend of mine created) so I know you've put a ton of hours into creating the game.
I'm definitely going to download the game once it's available again!
Wow that's impressive. You're probably right about the reason they are cutting back. But man, it felt like you were getting something good out of Club Nintendo.
I downloaded the game. There has been a patch, I'm hoping that the patch fixed the crashing issues.
I got the game because I like the games where I have to grind to lvl. I haven't played much of this game yet, but it seems like the type of games I like. But I like old school RPGs, so take my comments with that in consideration.
I will say, I play my 3ds more than any other system. It's because of the convenience of having a portable system. Having two young kids makes it difficult to find time to sit down to play console games, but I'm able to fit in small amounts of time here and there on my 3ds. Plus, my library of games gives me a wide range of options. If I have a lot of time, I'll play games like Fire Emblem. If I only have time a little time to play games, well then, Pocket Card Jockey it is. I really love that game 😂
I bought all the DI games, mainly because I wanted the Marvel/Star Wars characters, but my daughter liked playing Elsa and Anna. I was going to get her Zootopia characters next, maybe I still will when they go on sale. Best part about these games were playing the toybox and seeing other toyboxes that others uploaded online. I wonder how long online support will last.
I have RCR on the PS3, but I wanted to get it on the 3ds, glad I waited for this bundle. Having a lot of fun with these games, at an affordable cost and the money goes to charity, what a win/win!
That's how I felt too. It seems like that's their MO, "new system comes out, stop supporting the previous system immediately". I liked the fact that Sony still supports the PS3, even years after the PS4 release. Don't get me wrong, I have always preferred Nintendo over other systems, but it'd be nice to show support for a couple of years of the older systems.

Re: Video: Check Out These Canned Game Prototypes for Wii From Red Fly Studio
I would have gotten Batman AA and xwing vs tie fighter 2 for sure!
The Wii is by far my favorite system. All the great memories this system provided makes it my favorite system.

Re: The First Pokémon Sun and Moon 'Global Mission' Was a Bit of a Flop
I think I caught about 50 Pokémon for the challenge. I know it wasn't a lot, but I also started late.
Re: Feature: It's Time to Vote for Your Nintendo Life Game of the Year Awards
@Oubie
My favorite games from this year:
Pocket Card Jockey
Quest of Dungeons
Digger Dan DX
Pokémon Sun
Re: Pokémon Sun And Moon Is Nintendo's Fastest-Selling Game In The Americas, Ever
I'm enjoying the game. It certainly drags on in the beginning (playing through the tutorial). But overall I'm enjoying the game more than Omega Ruby.
Re: The Race is on to Catch 100 Million Pokémon in Sun and Moon
I'm not very far in the game, but I'll join in on this.

Re: Feature: Our Spooky Halloween Gaming Plans
Corpse Party is very scary but an interesting game. Definitely a good pick for Halloween.
My favorite Halloween game has to be Castlevania IV. So fun.

Super Castlevania IV has always been my favorite. When I was a kid, my friend and I decided to defeat Dracula at midnight on Halloween. We bought a bunch of Mt dew and Doritos for the epic battle. We ended up beating him around 10pm... still it was epically fun!

Re: Hands On: A Blast From the Past With Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure
I'll definitely be getting this game. For some reason it reminds me of Brave Fencer Musashi. It might be the art.
Re: Review: Gotta Protectors (3DS eShop)
I was probably going to get this game, now I'm definitely getting. Sounds fun. Great review as always.
Re: Feature: Ten of Our Favourite DSiWare Games
@belmont yup! Another game I loved.
I still have my DSi, I gave it to my daughter. However, nowadays, it plays Nintendogs and My Little Pony. But at least it's still getting used.
Re: Feature: Ten of Our Favourite DSiWare Games
@Moon I was wondering the same thing. These games are still going to be on the eShop, right?
I loved Zenonia. One of my favorite games.

Re: Video: Pick Up Some Key Tips and Tricks for SEVERED on Wii U and 3DS
I'm super excited for this game to come out on the 3ds in NA. Is it a N3ds exclusive or can the older systems run it?

I am surprised by the retention stat. I don't know how it is elsewhere, but where I'm at, seems like interest is waning.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Power Bombs in Japan
@DoctorOverbuild it is a good game. It's really fun and offers something different for DS.
Re: Random: A Delicious New Dragon Quest 30th Anniversary Promotion in Japan
I could careless about actually chewing the gum (minty lime doesn't sound very good) but the prizes sound very cool.
Too bad it's only in Japan:(

Re: Niantic Addresses Pokémon GO's Removal of 3-step Display and Third-Party App Access
@JasonLee99 yes. Before it didn't take 5 pokeballs to catch a pidgey. And you'd think that at lvl 19 a pidgey would be easier to catch.

Re: New My Nintendo Rewards Are Now Available in North America
I got Wario Land, Metriod and Donkey Kong. I still got almost 200 gold coins. At least they are giving away games instead of just discounts.
I still think Club Nintendo had better offerings. I got Majora's Mask, Mario Party 2, and Mario Tennis all free on my Wii through Club Nintendo.
So the last game wasn't fantastic, but I enjoyed the other two games.
