@Shiryu good point, it reminds me of Wing Commander, in the fact that you fly around, take out enemies, and have wingmen...ok, so that describes a lot of games....
I got my Switch last weekend and I have to say....I'm glad I made the Switch lol. I absolutely love it. I'll be playing some Splatoon 2, BotW, and some Magic Drop III.
Anyone interested in playing some Splatoon 2 together? Can we share friend codes on here?
Ironically, their answer is to put more guns in people's hands. These delusions of grandeur are part of the problem, thinking that they will be the big hero stepping in to save the day. That's as bad as blaming video games and media.
I think a big problem we have to tackle is bullying. All too often, we hear how these people that caused these acts of violence were "outsiders" or "bullied". Maybe we should start there, and look at ways we can be better citizens rather than placing blame on the media or putting more guns in people's hands.
I just got a Switch yesterday, and got Splatoon 2 and Zelda, I'm loving Splatoon. That game is so fun and super addictive, I haven't started Zelda yet.
I also have $20 in the eShop, any suggestions? I like RPGs a lot.
Animal Crossing New Leaf - fishing tournament was yesterday, so of course I needed to show off to the rest of the villagers that I'm the best fisherman that ever lived (in my town).
This was one of my underrated games this year too. The combat and boss battles are awesome. I know this isn't for everyone, but I wish more people would have played it.
Great review! This game sounds right up my alley. If any one else is planning on getting this game and wants to add me as a friend on 3ds to play this game online, let me know.
I think this game is brilliant. Super easy to pick up and play yet challenging enough too. My daughter who is 6 loves creating lvls, it's fun to hear her reasons why she adds certain elements to her creation.
$15 seems like a fair price, 40 levels and online sharing of created levels. I think this looks awesome, one of the games I've been looking forward to playing.
I have this on the 3ds. I love the game. Yeah the game is fairly easy to beat, but man, the original was really tough. So I'm not complaining that it's easier
They're too hard to find. I would have gotten one, but I can't find one. GameStop told me to go online and buy their $600 package, no thanks. Too much money. I'm not going to buy a bundle with a game that I have no interest in (Just Dance).
There are complaints that customers have placed an order with GamesStop a least a week ago (when their site said that they still had some in stock). Then these customers are told that, first their payment failed (which wasn't true for a lot of customers) then, they are told there are none in stock.
@Zodiak13 nice I have Etrian Oddessy IV too, fun game. I haven't played the others; I don't have a Vita, but Dungeon Travelers 2 sounds good. I'm a huge rpg fan as well, I logged a ton of hours into DQ9, and just got DQ8, which I'm enjoying, but not as much as 9. I also want to get Bravely default series, I just have way too many games right now.
@zipmon good review, I'll pass on this game, but since you recommend Ambition of Slimes, I might have to try that next. The game looks interesting, was on my list of games to eventually get.
I picked this game up as soon as it came out. I found it simple enough to pick up on the game mechanics and easy enough to pick up when I have the time to actually play games. The story isn't bad, the characters are a fun, and the graphics aren't going to blow you away, but they don't need to.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy playing SRPGs. This inexpensive little gem sure brought back my love for these types of games.
I've been playing it, casually (only at the end of chapter 2) but really enjoying this game so far. I happened to get a 5star character and a bunch of 4 star characters. I grind a lot with the characters, going back to old chapters with my low lvl characters, so I don't find it to be a money grab yet.
I think the lack of an in-depth story allows casual gamers to jump in and not be intimated. I'm not an expert on FE, so this made it really easy for me to get right to it.
@KidRad oh I meant to say that graphically, the hack games won't look as pretty as the games Nintendo put on the NES mini. From my understanding the emulation for the NES games on the mini look good.
I'm in total agreement that there are far better games that were on the NES.
@NintendoAllStars oh I meant to say graphically the hacked games won't be the same quality as the emulation that Nintendo did with the games on the NES mini. I agree that there are far better 3rd party games than on the mini.
I wouldn't do it. The quality of the other games compared to the ones that are on the classic NES mini would pale in comparison. If you already own the carts, then just get a raspberry pi.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Animal Crossing New Leaf. I just got the Wii U in that game, so I need to do that survival game.
I also want to spend more time with my SNES classic.

Re: Review: 80's Overdrive (3DS eShop)
@Damo nevermind, it appears they are just AI named characters, I got super excited for a moment lol
Re: Review: 80's Overdrive (3DS eShop)
@Damo do you know if all the named racers are actual people and not AI? Or are they AI and just named "rivals" vs the unnamed "local" drivers.
Re: Review: Culdcept Revolt (3DS)
@Ishmokin hey, sorry I just saw your response now! I'm not very good but yeah I'll play! Here's my friend code: 0791-5462-1004
Re: Feature: Ten 3DS Games That Are Perfect for Halloween
@Nekoo77 corpse party is really freaky, plug in headphones and turn out the lights for a real scare.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Halloween Edition
Super Metroid - doing an in depth podcast about that game this weekend. I have it on the SNES classic and Wii VC.
Stardew valley- just picked this game up.
Luigi's Mansion on 3ds
And Culdcept Revolt - gosh I absolutely love this game
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The Triumphant(?) Return
Culdcept Revolt. Man this game is addicting!

@Zodiak13 what are the other two games in your top 3? I've heard Stella Glow was good, and from your description, sounds like a game I'd like.

Re: New Hack Offers A Full Game Library On Your NES Classic Edition
@Rotgut oh cool. I stand corrected. I guess emulators have come a long way since I last played games on one. Thanks for the info.

Re: New Hack Offers A Full Game Library On Your NES Classic Edition
@NintendoAllStars yeah good point. My point was why hack the NES mini when you could just put them on an emulator on your computer or retro pi.
Re: New Hack Offers A Full Game Library On Your NES Classic Edition
@NintendoAllStars lol is that a reference to how old I am?

Re: Star Wars Rogue One Toys Were In The Works For Disney Infinity
Yup I would have gotten these. My di collection is pretty big. Such a fun game, and an active community. Sad to see it go...
