The Tokyo Game Show has officially begun and Capcom kicked off the event with another spotlight showcase. If you didn't catch the broadcast, here's a recap covering all the announcements and updates for Nintendo's platforms.

Mega Man Dual Override - Proto Man Trailer Deep Dive

Capcom recently dropped a new trailer for Mega Man Dual Override, showcasing Proto Man. During the latest showcase, the game's director and producer did a "deep dive".

The title of the game references the game's two playable heroes. Mega Man is a balanced character "capable at both close quarters and long range" and Proto Man deals more damage and focuses on close-range attacks.

The two characters means playing each stage is now "twice as fun". The lead also detailed how there are now "three areas per stage", allowing "gradual progression and expanded gameplay". Over 50 custom chips will build on this, allowing Mega Man and Proto Man to use various active and passive abilities.

This trailer, as you might recall, also introduced Twinkle Girl - the first Robot Master. The team designed her to "capture the satisfying essence of classic Mega Man gameplay, so learning her attack patterns and rhythms is really the key".

Players will also have access to the new "Override" ability, which is a powerful move that can change battles, and allows players to keep pushing forward. Capcom says it will share more news in the future as it gets close to the Spring 2027 launch on Switch & Switch 2.

Pragmata Free Mega Man Pack Released

Capcom officially revealed the Mega Man collab with Pragmata and now it's shown off another outfit. This other look completely transforms Hugh and Diana. This Mega Man Pack is available 17th September 2026.

Resident Evil Remakes Releasing Soon

In case you missed it, a trio of Resident Evil remakes are on the way to Switch 2 on 16th October 2026. There'll be an early adopter discount as well. A retail release will follow on 29th January 2027.

Capcom also issued a reminder about Resident Evil's 30th anniversary. It's celebrating with an anniversary exhibit in Japan, Universal Studios Japan event, world tour concert and more.

"Various projects are underway to commemorate the anniversary, including merchandise and events."

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Main Trailer

Dragon's Dogma 2 and Dark Arisen launches for the Switch 2 next month on 9th October 2026. Here's the "main trailer" ahead of this release.

"Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen enriches the dynamic fantasy world and expansive adventures of Dragon's Dogma 2 with unforgettable new tales and thrilling encounters. Available for the first time, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will contain both the Dragon's Dogma 2 base game and the Dark Arisen Expansion content."

Players can expect three major additions in the Dark Arisen expansion, including Forsaken Dominion (location), Lost Rites (dungeon challenges) and additional character customisation (new hairstyles and tatoos).

New official pawns based on influencers or "partners" will be added, and can be recruited to join your party.

Street Fighter 6 - New DLC Fighter, Swimsuit And Movie Collab

In the latest showcase, Capcom shared another look at the second character in the 'Year 4' DLC pass for Street Fighter 6. Arjun will join the fight on 13th October 2026, with a Fighters Pass available now. He'll be followed by Tifa from Final Fantasy VII (in early 2027) and Bosch is following this release in Spring 2027.

Capcom is also running a collab with the new Street Fighter movie where players will receive special challenger screen images:

And last but not least is a new swimsuit reveal for C.Viper. This fourth outfit will drop alongside the release of Arjun:

Monster Hunter Wilds Teostra Reveal And More

To end the showcase, Capcom gave Monster Hunter fans an extended cut of the new expansion Ascendance for Monster Hunter Wilds. It includes the return of the elder Dragon Teostra.

As shown in the new trailer, this expansion will see existing characters return with new looks. It also shows off the locations and other monsters hunters can expect to encounter.

The expansion will include new and evolved actions as well. This includes the boost bracer, a new attachment temporarily enhancing certain actions and fourteen weapons.

Several refinements are also being implemented to improve the overall experience, including faster weapon swaps, changing equipment outside of a tent, bulk changes utilising new hunter loadouts, and a detailed display of monster hide toughness.

As previously revealed, this expansion will also be coming to the Switch 2 release in 2027. The base game (including all previous updates) launches on Nintendo's new hardware later this year on 4th December 2026.
