Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd August)

Raccoonius

Super Smash Bros Brawl is main game, doing more Subspace Emissary mode. Beyond that, Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City for the DS and Mario Party DS will be getting some time.

I might play more Rogue Agent, depending on if this headache goes away. Sunday will see another run of Career Mode on my way to unlock all characters/levels. Figure every Sunday I'll do a full run-through until I hit Number 21 and unlock the NeverSoft eyeball.

Outside of gaming but still having to do with it, I have a number of DS games lacking their cover arts so I'll be making my own.

Have a good weekend, everybody.

Gonna be a good mix of games this weekend as I got a couple new ones and my wife is working.

Just finished up playing some Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for the Gamecube. Haven't played the same in about twenty years, but I remember the levels fairly well.

Finally got my hands on GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, a game I have wanted since first reading about it in Nintendo Power many moons ago. Definitely want to play today but I also picked up The Hobbit, a game I never beat back in the day so I'm looking forward to giving it another go.

Beyond my new pickups, which also includes Mario Party DS, I have Twilight Princess on hold until Wednesday so my wife can see the end when she's off work, and I need to get back into Spider-Man 2. I'm nearing the end, Chapter XIII I think, so probably should finish that before starting The Hobbit.

I'll also be chilling with my cats, Ares and Athena, relaxing with my wife when she's done work with some nightly Taskmaster (on Series 21), and I got some work stuff to work on if I can find the focus.

Have a great weekend, folks.

Currently dealing with a toothache, so I've been distracted myself by getting high and gaming. Just finished playing Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for the Wii, playing as Raditz in the Brothers arc (or whatever it's called). Be playing more later as my wife wants to play at some point.

Outside of DBZ, I'll be playing more Cartoon Network Speedway in the attempt to unlock the last character, and more Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Lego games are my comfort/guilty pleasure so now is a perfect time to play. I also started Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for the Wii. Not a bad game so far, though Yoda needs to take a pause for the cause.

12th wedding anniversary is this weekend as well, so we'll be playing TMNT Smash Up for our traditional First to 10 Wins fight. We were doing that in Soul Calibur III the night I proposed, so it's our yearly thing. Last year's game was the first Injustice.

Have a great weekend everybody. Hope you all accomplish your gaming goals, score some sweet finds if you're going hunting, and most importantly, be happy in your own way.

Peace.

Well I had a whole plan for the weekend, what with an order of five games arriving yesterday and Ice Cream Day being on Sunday, but nooooooo, Zeus had to step in and screw it all up!

The AC at my local post office broke and they locked up tighter than a miser's purse until Monday, so I'll be finally finishing Star Wars The Force Unleashed II for the Wii, as well as getting the 100% Completion in Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga, also for Wii, in preparation for Lego Star Wars The Clone Wars getting into my hands on Monday.

Hope everyone is staying safe wherever you are in the world, and if you're in North America, I'm sorry for all the smoke. We'll angle our fans differently!

I was playing TMNT Smash Up earlier, trying out the Survival Mode with Karai. Got to 97KOs and then I died, so no alternate outfit for her this morning. Now I'm playing F1 Race for the original Gameboy.

As for the rest of the weekend, wife and I are gonna get some gaming in with the aforementioned Turtle game and maybe some My Sims Racing. Might sneak some Link's Awakening in at some point.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (23rd May)

It's currently 5:55am and I'm playing Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga on the Wii. I was playing Need for Speed ProStreet earlier, finishing the first showdown; I won all events other than the 1/4 Mile Drag that I got 3rd in.

I'm possibly getting a Wii U this weekend (wanted to last weekend but math didn't want to math), so I'll be setting that up and playing whatever games I get from the store. If I don't get the Wii U, then I might start Epic Mickey or play more Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Or I'll play Tiny Toons Babs' Big Break for the Gameboy.

Have a good and safe weekend, gamers!

I bought Celebrity Sports Showdown for the Wii because the idea of it made me laugh, but it's actually not that bad of a sports game. Quick fun with your favourite celebrities, all without having to suffer meeting them!

Other than that, I just finishing dealing with Shaak Ti in The Force Unleashed (Wii), and now I'm creating a Wii U wishlist as I might be buying one this weekend. Of course, if the Time Gods are kind to me with it being the long weekend here in Canada.

Have a great weekend, everybody. Stay safe wherever you are.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (9th May)

Watching the first season of Maul: Shadow Lord has got me in the mood to play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, so primarily that. And yes, I'm using the lightsaber wiimote attachment. Might play some NFS ProStreet or Digimon World: Dawn at some point.

Bought Sega Superstars Tennis last night and it looks like there was some kind of sticker tag/label on the front of disc, so I'm debating whether it's worth trying to clear it off so it doesn't gum up the Wii and the disc can be read, or just taking it back to the store. First time buying from that store, and not a good first impression. Five games bought and one doesn't work, one is the wrong disc in the case and is unplayable as I don't have the uDraw pad thing, and one of the disc was dirty.

Have a great weekend, folks.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (2nd May)

Been playing a lot of Mario Party DS and Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron for the DS. I have a Wii coming in the mail this week, so I gotta give the DS it's time before I'm locked in with Twilight Princess (first playthrough), and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (perfect for May the Fourth). Even bought the Lightsaber attachment!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th April)

Greetings,

Super Mega Baseball 2 and Mario Kart Super Circuit are my main focus this weekend. Was hoping to play Cars: Mater-National Championship for the DS, but it didn't arrive on Friday in time, so that'll be a Monday 420 game.

Might look for more Koroks in Breath of the Wild. Been playing since 2019 and I've found 215 of the little buggers, so I'm getting there.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th April)

Raccoonius

Finally beat the campaign in Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron for the DS the other day, so now I'm trying to decide what to focus on next. Do I get drawn in by Drawn to Life, or do I throw a block party in Lego Battles? Decisions decisions.

I'm currently high and playing Digimon Racing before breakfast and bed time.

Have a great weekend, folks.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th April)

Raccoonius

Greetings.

I'm spending some time before breakfast, and soon after bedtime, playing Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron for the DS and watching Transformers: Generation 1.

I was playing FireRed, spending more time trying to decide my final team, and this is all because I accidentally let Ivysaur evolve, so it's been boxed.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th March)

Raccoonius

At some point, probably Sunday, I'll be playing Rune Factory 3 for the DS while my wife plays Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town on the Switch.

Today is a reading day for the two of us; I'm reading through the Star Wars Republic Commando series, one I haven't read since I was a teen and has been waiting on my bookshelf for decades, and my wife is reading 11/22/63 for the first time.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st March)

Raccoonius

Greetings, Gamers!!

During the Moon's time during the AM hours, I was playing Pokemon FireRed with a desire to play Sonic Forces, but I passed out before I could switch games.

During the current daytime, I'm playing Paper Mario TTYD. The music on Ms. Bosom's stage bothers my ears and plays with the fact I suffer from both visual and auditory hallucinations, so I'm taking advantage of being able to have tv low volume but my computer turned up loud (watching Rogerbase play ToTK).

If my wife wants the Switch today or tomorrow, as we normally farm together; me in Rune Factory 3 and her in Pioneers of Olive Town, I'll be playing more Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break for the Gameboy, or Wipeout 2 on the DS. She's in the middle of reading 11/22/63, so she most likely won't be taking the Switch.

Outside of gaming, although still kinda related for how much it plays with the mind and eyes, is the 3D Dragon Ball Z puzzle we've been working on since the beginning of the year. We're about 70 percent done, but it is hard to look at for extended periods.

Take care, folks!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th March)

Raccoonius

Just traded in a few games and picked up Breath of the Wild, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, and Sonic Forces.

So far I've given Sonic Forces a whirl, and I must say it's quickly working its way up the ladder towards my Top 5 Sonic games. I went with the bear as I thought it would be fun to recreate Smokey the Bear if possible, but then I realised you give your avatar shirts and not pants, so he's a more risque with his forest fire fighting.

During the dark hours of the night, I'll be going green and playing Paper Mario. Never beat it back in the day, so I'm looking forward to playing it again after all these years.

Have a great weekend, folks.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th March)

Raccoonius

It's 6am and I'm playing FireRed on the Switch. Will be tackling the Colour Dungeon in Link's Awakening DX later today, and my wife suggested we play Mario Kart 8 at some point.

Outside of videogame playing, I'll be playing in the world of Imagination as I'm finally gonna start the Thrawn books. Or the Court of Owls Saga.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th February)

Raccoonius

Never was able to score a Gameboy Player back in the day, so I'm living the dream now with FireRed on the Switch.

Besides reliving my youth in Kanto (hopefully with different 'Mons on my team), I'm helping the Wind Fish out of a bind with Link's Awakening for my green Gameboy Pocket, doing a bunch of fishing in Rune Factory 3 for the DS, and I might get all topsy turvy with Yoshi for the GBA.

Have a good one, folks.

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 9 Pokémon?

Raccoonius

Kingambit. Bisharp is one of my favourite Pokemon, so seeing it get an evolution is pretty sweet. George Lucas might even toss the word "poetry" at it, considering Gen 5 and Gen 9 are my least favourite, and my favourite Pokemon from those regions are Bisharp and it's evolution, respectively.

Re: Anniversary: The Legend Of Zelda Turns 40 Today - How Did You First Play It?

Raccoonius

Link's Awakening was my first experience with The Legend of Zelda back in 1995. Little five year old me, watching as my family was tearing itself apart, and here comes this little elf looking boy, fighting monsters without a word being said. Made me feel like it was ok not to talk. I sought peace and safety on Koholint Island. I didn't get very far back then, I think about a quarter of the way through, but it got me through the worst time of my life.

Now, with a new copy slapped in my green Gameboy Pocket, I'm finishing the journey I started 31 years ago.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st February)

Raccoonius

@JohnnyMind Thanks. I remember I had Link's Awakening back in 1995, but I never got to finish the game before I lost it. It's neat to be back at it, 31 years later, and I'm enjoying it so far. Reminds me of back then, but not enough to spoil it for myself by my past self (don't really remember much, so it's like a blind playthrough).
