@Kreko Well, it doesn't offer anything new, it's mostly just an HD port with a few quality of life improvements. But I enjoyed it!

@MARl0 My understanding is that the game will be voiced in English, it would be strange if it wasn't. I mean, the barebones Nocturne remaster was dubbed, so I expect them to do the same with this obviously higher budgeted game.

@Kreko Nocturne is a good game and a perfect warm up for SMTV, I believe. It hasn't aged well in some parts, but mostly holds up. Finished it a couple of months ago and had a fun time!

Got it as a birthday present the same year I got the Switch. I'm not a big Mario Kart fan, mostly plays it couch co-op when I have friends over.

Listened to Nate's podcast. To me it sounded more like speculation than any real insider information. That being said, Game Boy games on Switch Online isn't that unimaginable.

@Luigisghost669 Yeah, there are some pretty good Disney games from the 8- and 16-bit eras. Let us not forget the Capcom Disney games. Awesome stuff!

@Luigisghost669 Yeah, nostalgia plays a big part of it, never really clicked with SMB3 as an adult, as I never played it as a child, but did play some 1, 2 and SMW, which I have great memories of. 3 is still great, of course, I have it on GBA, but it's not my favorite 2D Mario.

@Luigisghost669 Well, I had like six games for the MD and none of them were as good as SMW or ALttP, that some friends had. Still loved the MD though. Games like Golden Axe and Streets of Rage will forever be a part of my childhood (and now I have them on Switch).

Great console, though I owned a Mega Drive at the time (but wished I had a SNES). Happy b-day!

I only have the DS version of Radiant Historia. I haven't played it that much, but I quite like it, even if it feels like it has a slow start. Bet the 3DS version is improved, but it's one of the most expensive physical Atlus games out there.

Yeah, the bleak feeling Nocturne gave me is enough. Therefore I have high hopes for V. And hopefully it's easier to travel and save in the new one. But overall I liked III, even though I had to consult a guide from time to time, as I wanted the true ending.

Atlus games are usually very expensive , but the SMT ones are especially pricey. I'm not willing to pay 3000 SEK for one game, no matter how good it is. 😬
I only have two SMT games in my collection, Devil Survivor 2 on the DS and Nocturne on Switch. But if you count Persona 4 on PS Vita and Persona Q2 on the 3DS, I have four. Oh, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions maybe counts? 😁 I'm always on the lookout for good deals on Atlus developed/published games, as they often give you a great time.

@Murbs Agreed! I've also preordered those three titles, and though Metroid Fusion is one of my all time favorite games and Advance Wars being a series filled with nostalgia, SMTV looks like a GOTY contender.

@christofilth Yeah, it's actually been a good year for Switch owning JRPG fans overall. Don't forget Ni No Kuni II is coming soon, plus we've got Bravely Default II, Ys IX, Trails of Cold Steel IV and Disgaea 6, alongside HD remasters like SMTIII, Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier.

Do we count Miitopia? 😅
