I love these recurring Nintendo Life "would love to see game X on Nintendo platform Y" articles – they always fills me with hope... not.
Would have been interesting to see how many of these dreams ended up becoming realized. @Liam_Doolan, can you investigate? You must have written a couple of hundred articles on the subject by now?
@JohnnyC At first, I thought you meant that GTA as a franchise has sold 150 million copies, but it's really just GTA V?! That's insane numbers! Wow... I haven't played it, but I've no doubt it's a quality game. Rockstar are known for it!
Snagged a physical copy of Shadowverse recently and it's a really good game! Highly recommend it!
I also have Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution and Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission in my Switch collection. They are fine, but the former crashes all the effing time. Irritating!
I hope Voice of Cards 1 and 2 will get a physical release eventually. Come on, Square Enix! I'll even import an English language version from Asia!
I'm doing the same as @KateGray: playing my physical copy of Murder by Numbers (imported from Play-Asia, they have the exclusive right). I highly recommend it to fans of Ace Attorney and Picross.
Other than that: Pokémon Legends Arceus and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 + going back to Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy X-2.
Just started it up, have chosen my starter and cleared the first mission some minutes ago.
I agree that the graphics are not up to the standards you'd expect in this day and age, even on the Switch, but everything else seems pretty solid so far. Will see if it holds up in the long run.
A lot of awesome purchases for me personally, so would give it a 9/10.
The 2021 Switch games I bought are the following: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Bravely Default II Saviors of Sapphire Wings/Stranger of Sword City Revisited Monster Hunter Rise SaGa Frontier Remastered New Pokémon Snap Miitopia Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster World's End Club Game Builder Garage Legend of Mana Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! Ys IX: Monstrum Nox The Silver Case 2425 Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD NEO: The World Ends With You The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 WarioWare: Get It Together! Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot + A New Power Awakens Set Astria Ascending Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Metroid Dread Mario Party Superstars Shin Megami Tensei V Pokémon Brilliant Diamond Danganronpa Decadence
I was hoping for Metroid Dread, but this seems like a deserved win. Josef Fares directed a lot of good movies here in Sweden, before moving on to video games. Cool that his studio got this recognition!
@AmplifyMJ Yeah, here in Sweden 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) is considered a normal full-time job. I think it's the same in a lot of European countries, but I'm not sure.
Might be that we work less hours overall though than the US? You might take into account some people with full-time employments reducing their working hours, to take care of their children or study or something else. I know a lot of people who are only working 75%, though they have full-time jobs, of course cutting their monthly salary.
I don't know if any of these games are bad, really, but the most boring ones to me are the two DS games. Couldn't get into those.
There's a lot of dislike for Zelda II, but is that because of the game's quality or its reputation? I've been playing it some on the new G&W and sure, it's hard and pretty primitive, but also kinda interesting and... yeah... fun! Would love to see a remake of it!
Never really gave the DS original a chance, but I relly dig this remake so far and find it more entertaining than Sword and Shield. It’s not perfect, but it has that classic Pokémon feel I remember from playing Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver as a child. I think the DS originals came out at a time when my interest in Pokémon had dropped, and even though I played it, I never really got into it. So I’m glad I got another chance on the Switch.
@Razzy Play whatever you like. If you think the games look bad, that's your opinion and it's fine as long as you don't insult other people's intelligence like the insecure fella above. I think these remakes look fine. Nothing remarkable, but not mobile quality either. Taste differs.
Regarding the sales argument: yeah, that's pretty stupid. But it also comes down to opinion. A lot of people like these games. I can't say that some of these titles are objectively bad, just not my taste. Some games I like sell like crazy, some games I like don't. I still enjoy them equally though.

They should've fixed the performance in the final trial of V3.

I don't really care that much. Should they have American accents instead? Or Swedish?

Re: Random: Here's The Nintendo Switch-Like Steam Deck Compared To Some Other Stuff
@IronMan30 Yeah, what was I thinking? Of course it will.
It'll probably sell pretty well, but I don't think it will be the Switch rival everyone is writing it up to be.
Re: Random: Here's The Nintendo Switch-Like Steam Deck Compared To Some Other Stuff
I can see this easily outselling the Switch by the end of the year.

@JokerCK The other YGO game on Switch, Legacy of the Duelist also runs pretty bad with constant crashes. Hasn't been fixed.

Shin Megami Tensei V got down from 87 to 85 since last time I checked. But it doesn't matter. It's my favorite game of the year!

Re: Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remakes Claim 3rd In November NPD Chart
Bodes well for future SMT titles. Best new game I've played this year!
Re: Poll: What's The Best Switch Game Of 2021? It's Time To Rate Your Favourites
I have played three (IMO) 10/10 Switch titles this year: New Pokémon Snap, Metroid Dread and Shin Megami Tensei V. SMTV is my favorite one.
Edit: Oh, I forgot The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles! That's also a 10!
Re: Poll: Paper Mario Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch Online, Will You Be Playing It?
Yeah, haven't played it and heard it's one of the best in the series. Only played Sticker Stars (yuck!) and The Origami King (good!).
Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think Of The Game Awards 2021?
Didn't watch it and seems I didn't miss anything noteworthy.

Great news! Well done, Germany.
Re: UK Charts: Switch Exclusives Dominate, But FIFA 22 Reclaims Top Spot
@HammerGalladeBro People prefer diamonds before pearls? But might've changed if Brilliant Diamond was called Brilliant Swine instead?
It's the same in my country: Diamond is more popular. Maybe because it shows up first in order?
Re: UK Charts: Switch Exclusives Dominate, But FIFA 22 Reclaims Top Spot
@JasmineDragon Same here. Though I play Pokémon Diamond as well at the moment. And I own Animal Crossing, but got tired of it early on.
But SMTV and Danganronpa are where it's at! Though my physical copy of the latter got delayed, hope it shows up this week.
I recently got Brigandine and Astria Ascending too, seems like two fine titles.

Re: Star Wars: KOTOR Is Receiving A Limited Run Games Physical Release On Switch
Seeing as other SW games, that first got a LRG release, later got European retail releases, I will probably skip this.
