@Magician. My hope is a real shared digital library across multiple switches without online connection. A real virtual console option for n64, Gamecube, and wii without premium or subscription prices. A real budget switch via well ventilated but low energy consumption non pro tv only option.
@Dringo couldn't have said it better myself. They both are awesome and unique. I feel their differences increase each other's value as well.
If the deck were cheaper and had removable controllers Id be more interested. If my switch had as many computer functions as the steam deck will have Id like it more too.
You win some you lose some, but both are great adventures into somewhat affordable multiple purpose/function tech.
@Harmonie I agree. Options are and have did way more for Nintendo than gimmicks. Sony and Microsoft moved the gaming industries forward at break neck speed and now the industry is suffering the downsides of that choice, however Nintendo stayed grounded and affordable but even they make bad decisions with overpriced ports, controllers, and content locking and stealing Amiibo.
Even as the weaker console switch will still have a place but it needs to stop punishing consumer loyalty with greedy decisions. Build your own mario kart is a good idea but couldnt they have got way more out of the idea with cheaper pricing character crossover and maybe optional affordable AR glasses for first person racing.
In light of the steam deck or any future competition and just in terms of expanding switch flexibility to the point of maximum value it offers I think switch needs budget tv only device and a in expensive pricing model for legacy ports going forwardward. Imagine Nintendo snubbing the December deck release with a release of its own via an even more afforable switch option, then boom it comes with enhanced wii sports and Nintendoland. (Both also and purchase able on eshop at 20 bucks), but to keep the price of the bundle down it should come with a non pricey joycon controller soo........................perhaps 2 bundles. A motion bundle with wii sports and Nintendoland both that offer non motion options because Options and a non motion bundle which comes with the threepeet bundle of Metroid prime trilogy which also supports motion controls because options.
The real icing on the cake though could be a new model of gamecube games on the eshop for all switches at 15 bucks and wii and wii u games at 20 bucks.
I regret not participating, but am super happy legendary super warriors made the list. Its actually a decent game boy game. To pull off both a turned based and card based system was pretty cool, plus there were tons of characters.
I wish king of fighters was on the list. Glad mario tennis and wario made it.
I think i only need a video cable but Im not sure. Before my genesis stopped functioning properly I would randomly plug it in and play. I beat Aladdin after suffering through those dreaded lava levels.
With my confidence high I went to Sonic 2. Metal sonic drained me of lives also plus rings and low on rings or having non I was never able to figure out/win the final fight.
@pixelpatch I totally agree. We need to do advancement differently because until we do we are robbing ourselves of true quality. If it doesn't last 10 years or more its wasting our limited time and resources.
I know electronics can't last and stay relevant forever but we must understand and remember how much power there is in building something that not only lasts but is sustainable, because that would truly be the best technology.
And its not just about longlevity either, is it even safe? If it isnt safe we won't be around to use it even if its built to last. If safety is not only a priority, but the first priority who will there be left to build more?
Also technology should never replace us or our mental capacities it is only a tool we should use to augment us in safe, required, and contained situations.
Thank you Smash Bro for one of the greatest contributions to video games. Please take 2 to 5 years off or indefinitely to rest/recuperate/recharge.

I could be wrong but I don't think this is for me. However I think an Addams Family game and the fact that it may be 4 player couch maybe is a really genius idea.
Please keep making couch co op and licensed games, just make the quality better.
@BloodNinja Thank you various stimuli including but not exclusive to this website's articles and amazing community are starting to fan the embers of maturity in the chaos that is my brain.
Ive been having similar thoughts to yours. Switch is just a game console but its ability to switch is a symbol of something crucially missing from all of our lives, the security of all the world's major breakthroughs and technological achievements not resting in a single basket made of lead.
First I would like to thank God, also the heavens for those of you who don't believe in anything or those who believe in someone or something different, for allowing us, some of us at least for living in an era where most of the world isn't freezing to death or dying from something worst than corvid.
Second I would like to thank my parents that got me into gaming in the first place by buying me my first console the sega genesis as a kid. Lastly(please understand why I thank you guys last) I want to thank all those in the game industry that pushed games this far creating a billion dollar industry from nothing together one game, develper, and company at a time collectively that helps connect people worldwide.
That said the game industry is the perfect personification of what's wrong with the tech industry and the tech industry is the perfect personification of what's wrong with the world. To save the world and ourselves we need to do more with less and stop racing full speed in whatever direction we can without the wisdom and patience to know if its the right direction.
To a certain extent Nintendo and the switch itself understands and reflect this but we need them to do more and have to be vocal about it because if they become the company whom we expect them to be and who they pretend to be then those ruining the industry will be more inclined to follow their lead when they make a good choice and start a industry saving trend.
When tens of millions of people are supporting Nintendo which may become a hundred million why cant they support them back with just one additional island, virtual console, an f zero metroid prime and mother sequel asked for forever(without first updating switch power) and a solution for joycon drift.
Nintendo, the switch is one of the best consoles ever made and we are happy and grateful for it, but please understand complacency is the destroyer of worlds, nations, and civilizations. Consumers and companies both might not always be right or have the best of ideas all the time but if we support each other and listen to each other our relationship potentially can withstand the test of time.
Really amazing idea guys. Id love to see and play gundam, mario, smash bros, dragon ball, kingdom hearts, matrix, star wars, castlevania, and sonic like you all mentioned.
Personally I would like dragon quest dai warriors, jump musou, fairy tail, and demon hunter musou with all pillars playable even if it doesnt cover their story as well as a JoJo's Bizzare Adventure Musou with local co op.
My biggest issue with musou is no one makes the movesets and transformations as empowering as the Musou guys plus sometimes their creativity is so good it should inspire the anime but what really irks me is 1000s of enemies. The playable characters are always so good I know the generic enemies could be better if their were just less of them. I like when the games aren't overly complex and you have multiple tools, attacks, and options to defeat every single enemy and aren't limited to just one.
I prefer physical because that physical copy doesn't take up memory and you can sell and see some return if you don't like the game. You can also use it on a new repacement console or second console hassle or internet connection free.
The less cards in the greedy company's hand the better. However im more conscious of the environment now. Im okay with future digital game consoles (non streaming) if game conpanies finally make decisions to save the game industry instead of killing it by showing their loyal customers the same loyalty given to them.
Gamecube ports but dont ruin them with Nintendo switch online and inflated prices.
My switch is the best selection of games I ever bought with gamecube and ps2 coming in second. However there is still tons of stuff I would like to try on gamecube (without subscription or only on switch pro anti consumer gimmick).
There are several local co-op Gamecube games that would bring sunshine to switch.
Somewhat interested in this, i would like it better if it was over the shoulder third person plus still supported four player local co-op.
Never seen the show or read the book but this has a bit of my attention. Boring, safe and lower end games can be great games too, ill take them over overly cinematic triple A games full of qtes or gimmicks. So many action games forget to give you a decent enough play box, multiple playable characters and the freedom to create your on action with friends I might add.
I just want something affordable and simple like AR glasses that simulate large screen televisions which one company is already doing although its a bit pricey, also provided its safe for your eyes.
I like the idea of AR glasses helping allievate limited screen space for co-op as well.
I have only played two god of wars, both of them the portable psp games, both of them being great fun but only one of them really clicking well with me, even still, I prefer kid icarus over them. I feel Nintendo should follow their own path hopefully a better path but I would love for kid icarus to be Nintendo's god of war success story.
Some of the most well done battle systems, the entire package for me just screams most presentable package possible. I still use my kid icarus stand for my switch in tabletop sometimes.
Even now I feel Battle Network 3d and a Kid Icarus with co-op in the story should have been launch titles for the switch.
Phantasy star zero remake. Better controls, graphics, same console splitscreen co-op(2 players at least) as well as 4 players wireless local and wireless online.
@russell-marlow 2003 Tmnt is one of my most favorite shows of all time, and favorite turtles in general. Though I am worried about them suffering from older game problems or difficulty i really would like to try those gamecube games based off the show.
As a fan of turtles and streets of rage 4 I am interested in this game. Also TMNT out of the shadows had some really good ideas I just didn't like how they ruined splitscreen with screen frames and the games character progession levels.
Hope this isnt true. A revision like the revision I jumped in on is one thing but a mid console pro update with exclusives just sounds like they throwing away the loyalty and appeal that help made switch the must have device globally.
I want Nintendo to skip two rocks with one stone by first making a $100 tv only switch that is actually a dock with a replacable outside fan (plus inside fans) that perhaps it doesn't need due to low energy consumption but has anyway so that when some one docks or fuzes their switch or switch lite it can benefit from the extra ventilation.
And two by utilizing a dock that can process they can optionally keyword optionally make more demanding games already ported and optimized to play well on any switch epecially the original run better. If they can't port a game to the original switch then the switch either doesn't need it or would benefit from a different game. Quality over quanity should be the name of the game. Switch should get games only from producers ready to take the time to optimize their games for switch or build them switch up from the start.
Sure the switch will always take what it can get port wise, but what it really needs and benefits from is switch built games not broken 50 gig+ must update day 1 games. Once Nintendo start chasing after rivals in power it will result in us all, including Nintendo, having rival problems like overmaking consoles for overmade games that are full of undermade issues. With extra issues Nintendo will never bother to fix or solve joycon issues.
Call me old fashioned but I'd rather get a back up budget switch which optionally can make already good running games run better when docked or fused or if you are a really wierd like me add co-op optionally of course to non co-op games.
What if oddessey, skyrim, Hades, and breath of the wild could be played in local wireless co-op since technically a new processing dock is just another switch. I know power would makes things easier for devs but with a little sacrafice, patience, and innovation we could fully explore the outer limits of what the switch and games its supports already are capable of.
Again Nintendo would and should push games running well on all switches always, and a cheap dock with a set of cool features that are only optional could keep in line with that.
Looking forward to official news. I enjoy RE spinoffs more than the main games and also resident evil side modes more than story modes.
1st revelations was great for showing what was suprisingly possible on the 3ds and was a solid game. I enjoyed revelations 2 way more than the first and I even enjoyed the story mode and characters more but especially the setting.
Personally i prefer having having an A.I character tag alone to swap with especially when they have their own unique skills. The game is just less boring and fixed that way. However Id also prefer if future games were designed so that you didnt specifically need certain characters or numbers of game specific characters but if you did happen to choose to play in company or with a specific character it would be the icing on the cake.
@gojiguy so dissapointng jedi outcast or academy academy doesnt have local multiplayer offline. A offline couch co-op mode vs bots would go such a long way.
They need to update these games more or remake them while also having the original game available with a few tweeks. Never played republic commando but local co-op and multiplayer would again make these games that much more appealing this game morso since its a tactical squadron shooter.
All I ever wanted is star wars battlefront 2 OG remake/update with the option to play galatic conquest in drop in drop out co-op 4 player offline couch co-op and online co-op.
New switch on the block,
early adopters need a fix,
Pro switch makes me sick,
And Ill think its fly, when standalone non pro dock drop by
For the summer, for the summer.
While I am interested in a no screen none pro tv only budget switch, I know the longer switch waits for a sequel to the switch the better it will be. Games and consoles suffer greatly from lack of patience, and we see generations of both still repeating the same mistakes over and over again without doing enough to fix them.
Switch will not get ports of all games, and ports that do come may come with compromises, thats the nature of the game. However outstanding or equal versions of games or franchises when built ground up for the switch, cheaper games to make and sell($80 Aint nobody got time 4 dat), and the value of portability and super optimized games are also the nature of the game.
So many good games ideas ruined by the grind. 3ds games in general suffer from level and repetition grind built into them and in particular i feel during the 360 era levels should have been eliminated.
People are losing time faster than ever now and now time is more precious than ever. For me its simple either you game is well made like outerworlds or it is a time waster. Its hard not getting a game because you know its broken or wasting your time with artificial pandering but as a gamer your energy and mental state will be in a much better place if you do.
Just got this game. I like rpgs but big time sinks can be intimidating especially if they dont reward you enough.
Not an issue with this game. There are so many fun customizations, options, and upgrades that no moment feels wasted. To say this game is fun is an understatement.
@nintendoknife agreed, great games that showed great features and quality not expected on a handheld Nintendo platform.
I am hoping this is a revelations game as in splitscreen local co-op, but i would like an experiment or infusion of more outbreak elements too.
My dream resident evil game is a solo co-op optional game where players play through a single location linear in structure with every single area having a handcrafted feel to it and 2 to 3 hidden objects or unlockables. There are 65 to 85 linear locations in all connected like a spider's web through mostly unlocked branching paths.
Every third area has a hidden or extra enemy. All locations are divided between six sectors and the story unfolds differently based on the order of sectors players complete. Combat options depend on what skills or perks different player squads possess.
The main goal is to learn escape route locations by advancing some or all of the story. Every escape route partially affects the story ending. Presence of some characters in squad during story may cause some scene or gameplay changes.
@VinniVinni my bad. I played only a little of the first game but depending the co-op, reviews, and the fact that this is a low priced collection im interested in this.
E3 videos of kid icarus uprising and gamestop videos of mercenaries 3d sold me on the 3ds. Got my 3ds around the time that revelations kid icarus and heroes of ruin came out and those games sold me on the 3dses awesomeness.
Last year around january, before i got my switch, I think I got lbx and it became one of my most favorite games of all time on one of the greatest consoles of all time.
Freedom wars and killzone mercs are proof the vita had the right stuff and could have succeded but sony and third parties just refused to take the risk that would have allowed that to happen. I feel bandai namco not doing physical releases on popular titles didnt help the vita's situation either.
I liked gi joe renegades and maybe the animated and live action movie, beyond that not the figures or original animations.
I think for the majority of people 5 out of 10 is the honest score, but for the minority remaining, which includes me, if they can find more than 3 things likeable or familiar about it then its a 6 or maybe a 7.
The game offers too many decent traits to be a bad game and hits just shy of being a great game. Im optimistic, I might want more licensed games from these guys with local co-op but they would need to do just.... a little more.
When I play this I keep asking myself, could they pull off he man? Could they pull off he man!

Re: Star Wars: Republic Commando Appears To Be On The Way To Switch
@gojiguy so dissapointng jedi outcast or academy academy doesnt have local multiplayer offline. A offline couch co-op mode vs bots would go such a long way.
They need to update these games more or remake them while also having the original game available with a few tweeks. Never played republic commando but local co-op and multiplayer would again make these games that much more appealing this game morso since its a tactical squadron shooter.
All I ever wanted is star wars battlefront 2 OG remake/update with the option to play galatic conquest in drop in drop out co-op 4 player offline couch co-op and online co-op.
Re: Talking Point: So, What Are The Chances We'll See A 'New' Nintendo Switch In 2021?
New switch on the block,
early adopters need a fix,
Pro switch makes me sick,
And Ill think its fly, when standalone non pro dock drop by
For the summer, for the summer.
Guys I think we got a hit lol.
Re: Nintendo Won't Be Announcing A New Switch Model "Any Time Soon"
Re: Soapbox: Grinding Is Poor Gameplay Design That Doesn’t Respect Your Time
So many good games ideas ruined by the grind.
Re: Fortnite Creator Epic Games Is Turning A Dying Shopping Mall Into Its New HQ
So cool I wish a mall/movie/fast food/shopping outlet I grew up going to as a child could have been repurposed before it was destroyed.
Re: Best Of 2020: Fallout Creator On The Outer Worlds, Working Partnerships, And The Games He Plays These Days
Just got this game. I like rpgs but big time sinks can be intimidating especially if they dont reward you enough.
Not an issue with this game. There are so many fun customizations, options, and upgrades that no moment feels wasted. To say this game is fun is an understatement.
Re: Super Baby 2 And Gogeta [SS4] Are Joining Dragon Ball FighterZ
I want evil king piccolo with his sons as supports
Re: Rumour: Resident Evil Revelations 3 Will Be A Switch "Focused" Release, Says Capcom Insider
Re: WWF Wrestlefest Successor RetroMania Wrestling Secures Early 2021 Release Date, Physical Release
I only know or remember the road warriors. I liked the song it hyped up the gameplay.
Re: Serious Sam Collection Arrives On Switch Next Week, eShop Listing Reveals
@VinniVinni my bad. I played only a little of the first game but depending the co-op, reviews, and the fact that this is a low priced collection im interested in this.
Re: Serious Sam Collection Arrives On Switch Next Week, eShop Listing Reveals
@Shiryu AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAaaaaaaaaaaAaaaaa yourself. (Dont actually mean it)
Re: Serious Sam Collection Arrives On Switch Next Week, eShop Listing Reveals
If every game has campaign co-op i cant not want this.
Re: Dragon Quest Creator Promises "All Sorts Of Announcements" For 35th Anniversary
Id like DQ: The Adventure of Dai Infinity Strash with local co-op.
Re: Soapbox: An Ode To The 3DS, Nintendo's Workhorse Console
Re: What's Up With The Frame Rate In The Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Demo?
@AJDarkstar This happens to me a lot in pirate warriors 4 for five to ten seconds I can move but no attack buttons will register at all.
Re: Review: G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout - Bland, Forgettable Saturday Morning Fare
