If you're looking for some co-op and PVP first-person shooter action on the Nintendo Switch, one game well worth considering is Hypercharge: Unboxed.
It arrived on the Nintendo Switch last January and since then has been continually refined and improved - with updates and much more. Developer and publisher Digital Cybercherries has now released its third major update for the game, and it's arguably one of the best ones yet.
The standout features included in this update are the addition of player Bots to co-op Waves mode and Deathmatch, and a third-person camera mode. In addition to this is "improved balance" for solo play.
You can view the full patches for this latest update over on Reddit. If you would like to learn more about this toy-themed shooter, check out our review. We were fans of the solid gameplay and said it was a blast to play with friends. You can also download a free demo of it, if you're still on the fence.

I don't think I've heard of this game until now but it looks awesome!
Edit: Wait, maybe the YouTuber Pan Pizza (aka Rebel Taxi) mentioned it before.
Hypercharge is a good game but I think they lost the momentum already.
It's on sale on the U.S. eShop for $13.99 right now as well.
I played the demo of it and saw potential in it, so it's downloading now.
Nice, was waiting for this before I grabbed it.
My favorite FPS now offers my favorite viewpoint and improved solo mode.
I was actually surprised how much I didn't like the game, but it has seen a couple big updates since I last peeked in, maybe it's time to redownload my copy.
Hey @PlusUltra,
That's very kind of you, thanks! If you have any ideas or suggestions, we'd love to hear them: http://discordapp.com/invite/hyperchargeunboxed/

Hi @AshFoxX,
Aw, it's a shame you didn't like Hypercharge, but at the same time , we all have our own taste. May I ask what you didn't like about it, overall? Your feedback is sincerely appreciated. 😊
Please let us know your thoughts about the new update, if you have time.
All the best,
Joe
Afternoon @CoffeeWithGames,
Thank you so much for playing the demo. I hope you enjoy the full game! We're already working on our next Major Update so expect even more content and improvements. 🙂

Howdy @PhilKenSebben,
Awesome to hear, I hope you have fun!
Kind regards,

Greetings @Tourtus,
It likely was Rebel Taxi. He often tweets about Hypercharge and mentions it on his YouTube channel. Really cool guy!
If you want to try the game, feel free to play the demo! 😃
Best,
Joe
Hello @hakjie11,
Great to hear you think Hypercharge is a a good game. I don't think Hypercharge has lost its momentum. This is our third Major Update based on player feedback and the game keeps on getting better.
I agree that a game can lose all its momentum if a developer just abandons it after release, but this isn't the case with us.
Kind regards,
Joe
Tried the demo yesterday after I saw SwitchUp's vid about it. I gotta say the whole aesthetic of the game has me hooked. Gonna give the demo a few more rounds before I decide if I'll buy it or not.
@D_Cybercherries Already have been on PC! Happy to double dip and support a great studio
just redownloaded it after archiving it since i had no bots to play against. THIS is the update i wanted. Thanks DCC! Love the new home screen icon too
@D_Cybercherries I would adore you guys if you make the game physical
I've heard awesome things with the new updates. I am really tempted to try this game. Love the toys fighting reminds me of this n64 game me and my brother played for hours (fought in a bathroom and even kitchen)
Visually stunning. Playing in the kitchen or bedroom feels like your in a Toy Story or Honey I Shrunk The Kids movie. Then the guns start blazing and it’s one of the best FPS on the switch hands down. Great for young kids with the absence or realistic gore and blood, but still challenging and fun for adults.
Only downside is the lack of online community. Most often a few people will join your game, but at times the amount of people online can be nearly nonexistent. It’s too bad, because with all the updates the game just keeps getting better and better. Worth at least the $15 it constantly goes on sale for!
@D_Cybercherries I wasn't aware this had a demo, thanks for the info, I'll give it a shot!
They desperately needed the coop bots because I could never find anyone online and the coop eventually becomes impossible to beat if you play it by yourself, and there is little else to the game.
It is a cool game though, neat theme and decent graphics, I deleted it because I got bored with it due to a lack of bot support but now I might get back into it.
This game is awesome. The devs put so much care into this game. Read the boxes they're amazing. The bots in the update are actually really good (of course I’m not great but they’re better than me). The new camera angles are also very much appreciated.
@bobzbulder they even build defenses amazing.
@D_Cybercherries I felt like the levels were a bit confusing to traverse and I was constantly lost trying to find parts between waves. My experience is likely lacking due to having no friends to play with and I do not like playing online with randoms but I saw this update brings solo tweaks I want to try it out. I never got far enough playing solo to unlock many new parts to use in waves but as a general rule I adore wave/horde modes in games and this one didn't stick with me last time I tried it.
My younger bros both have this game their Switch Lites, new updates are always appreciated by them! Hopefully the player base grows more after these big additions to the game.
@D_Cybercherries Thumbs up! The developer caring and spending the time to reply on my doubt on this game means the game is certainly in very good hands.
