Re: Poll: What Do You Want From Today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct?

PlusUltra

@justin233

Dixie would be a great female character and she has legetimately been playable in donkey kong games for a long time now.

@Moonknight7 you have a point, if they don't have too many characters left to add to the roster it makes sense that they would leave them to be only revealed when the game is released and played.

Re: Bandai Namco Wants To Release More Of Its Games On The Nintendo Switch

World trigger (ps vita game localized enhaced with motion controls, hd rumble, and 2 player co-op splitcreen as well as 4 - 8 player multiplayer)

Ridge Racer (without microtransactions)

Gundam games ( one of the older extreme vs games, not the one that was localized because it was said its content didn't quite match up with the earlier installments.)Other gundam franchises too like dynasty warriors gundam and gundam breaker

Pacman World collection Remastered or Remake(with pacman world rally included also)

Black Clover Quartet Knights - (similar to ps4 version but with local co-op and optional motion controls)

Anime game collection vol 1 game of remastered or remade anime games that never got localized or physical localized like hunter x hunter, fairy tail games, and 1 other anime game. (granted Fairy tail isn't a bandai game I think but if they could occasionally include 1 non bandai game in the collection that would be cool if it were possible)

Re: Video: New Team Sonic Racing Trailer Showcases All-New Team Mechanics

PlusUltra

This is excellent news, I was rooting for the game but kept wondering if something was missing. WIth the announcement of the team mechanics especially the skimboost, slingboost, and item transfer my worries have been put to rest.

I look forward to this offering another great racing which doesn't have too much gimmicks but offers a totally unique racing style of its on.

I look forward to the nickleodeon racer too I just hope both this and it offer grand prix and cup wining modes in local co-op as mario kart has always done so that instead of just playing the main campaign/racing mode solo the player can also do it with at least one other friend.

I think sonic's new game may do just that but I'm worried about the nick racer on that front, also I think sonic should absolutely differentiante itself from mario kart since sega has a greater chance in rivaling nintendo's kart racer in terms of quality, but I'm not looking for the the new nick racer to be so unique although something like character specific items like seen in double dash that operate on cool downs and don't have to be attained would be something to make it unique.

Although I wouldn't want that in this new sonic racer since it suits the nick racer better since its characters are all from different worlds and have enough backstory where such a thing would feel like natural enxtensions of their personality and backstory.

Re: Feature: Sitting Down With Panic Button, Nintendo Switch's Most Important Third-Party Studio

@Jeronan I agree with your comment the switch is a fantastic console but people need to accept that high profile games may sometimes come at a price.

I think that popuIar high profile releases play an important part in keeping the nintendo base included with a couple of trending games periodically and I think Panic Button will and should continue to do them.

However I also think that last console generation games are also really good canidates for ports. The switch could run fallout 4 with compromises or it could run fallout 3 and new vegas with less compromises or with none at all as well as other classics like borderlands, left 4 dead, witcher 1 & 2, Dragon's Dogma, and bioshock.

@ThanosReXXX Thanks for the tip. I intentionally miss typed their username since I didn't think it would make that big of difference since I thought it wasn't likely another user with optimus in their username would post or read my message, but as you said without them being properly notified by me replying to them correctly they may never notice my comment at all so again you have my thanks.

Re: Feature: Sitting Down With Panic Button, Nintendo Switch's Most Important Third-Party Studio

@Optiumus I think Resident evil 2 revisisted would be an interesting port for them to put on switch too if its possible, and other than that while the switch not being able to handle ps5 and xbone 2 ports is a valid concern, I simply don't expect them to try putting next gen releases on the switch when the time comes.

I think at least for some reasonably chosen next gen sony and xbox games who knows it may be possible, but personally I feel old gems that never made it to an nintendo console could always also be an option.

Re: Nintendo Is Considering A Successor To The 3DS According To Its New President

PlusUltra

I agree that the switch 2 should have 3ds game slot, or 3ds hardware add on should be created for the switc to emulate 3ds games.

Though under the right conditions I'm not opposed to a 4ds, I'm totally okay with Nintendo and others just continuing support for 3ds. I don't think the switch should put itself or it customers into confusing situations like the 3ds did by creating some many versions that were not a sequel. I think there should be no other switch other than its sequel to not divide or confuse its base

Re: Nintendo Is Considering A Successor To The 3DS According To Its New President

PlusUltra

If they could do the 3ds successer and keep the price point the latest one has now that would be cool. I think if a 3ds successer is going to be its own pillar then in name/label and practice/game market it should distant itself from the switch so there is no confusion over what game works on which console and what niche each handheld is clearly for.

Don't get me wrong there should absolutely be crossplay with appropriate games and if the 4ds could be used as a controller for switch, or joycons can be used to play the 4ds DSU(ultimate) even better.

I've think something really cool and what could be the ultimate exclusive feature for the 4ds or DSU would be build your own clamshell design.

So basically the clamshell design is build able and breakable as in you can disconnect it. Each segement holds the tech to run games on its own as well as have their own 4ds catridge slot. Bottom screens naturally would hold all the buttons but joy cons or wireless switch controllers could be used to play the top screen(or slid into the top screen(joycons)) with games that offer local play on just one clam.

Players could buy the default DSU bundle which comes with a DSU catridge slot screen on top and a 3ds catridge slot and screen on bottom but they could buy additional clamshell screens for 65 or 70 bucks to mix and match catridge support options. The rule would be for all or most DSU/4ds fully fledged games two screens would be used or required and the proccesing power would combine for the best horsepower but alternatively weaker DSU games players could disconnect their "clam" for local multiplayer just like joy cons which this idea is partially inspired from, although this may be impossible or it could make the console weaker I assume? Or maybe this is just too complicated.

Re: Review: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition (Switch)

PlusUltra

@ G-Boy if you are a fan of the seires but don't own the game on any other platform then pirate warriors 3 is a great game to own since in its own way it allows you to relieve the biggest battles in the show. Like the reviewer said its missing some story parts but its essentially several or most of the big points in the story and if you don't want to rewatch the old episodes, playing pirate warrirors 3 is a great way to quickly freshen up on some key parts of the story that you would rather not see again or don't have the time to.

The game starts at the beginning of the one piece story too so if you are new to the series you don't have to have played the previous games. I have it digitally on the vita but just to have a physical copy and on both a handheld/console I consider importing it when I get switch if Europe got a physical edition.

Re: Koei Tecmo Is Interested In Working With Mario

PlusUltra

Mario could create a really unique warriors game. Egg bombing scores of enemy as yoshi. Riding into battle as mario with yoshi as his steed .
Also why not both the first half of the game could be mushroom kingdom warriors, but the second half could start with Broswer's defeat and exile which he uses to travel to other worlds and create armies from other members of the smash bros roster.

Re: Talking Point: Could Sony Or Microsoft Release Their Own Nintendo Switch-Style Hybrids?

PlusUltra

What I want from sony is a ps3 switch legacy title console/handhled. Sony's take on the switch but the catch is it plays digital ps3 games, ps vita games, psp games,, and ps1 and ps2 titles.

It makes use of ps3 ps4 and ps move controllers so players don't have to worry about buying controllers all over again. On the downside it would not be able to play ps4 titles.

On the upside it could be cheaper to make and sell because of this, ps3 was stronger than vita so ps3 switch games will still be an improvement graphically and tech wise from the ps vita, and all your favorite ps3 digital titles on the go, and with local co-op still attached.

Infamous, God of war 1-3, ratchet and clank original triology +spinoffs, original Assassin's creed triology/collection, left 4 dead, dead space, red dead redemption 1, mass effect triology, all those ps3 1st and third party games on the go. Just imagine if sony could hit that sweet spot price pont of $200-245 and bring back with 40 dollar games and mircosd/sd memory options.

Re: Nintendo Was "Kind Of Liberal" When It Came To Creating The Super Mario Cartoons

PlusUltra

I watched both thanks to a starz tv channel. Sonic the hedgehog(i guess the oldest one) is one of the best shows I've ever seen based off video games. Its vintage animation looks like several american shows from that era but it has a high enough concentration of dark and seriousness tones that its beyond amazing to watch.

I like the mario show a little less but what's really cool about it is it is a decent telvision/game adaptation. Broswer's ship sails in the sky and not the water, something mario fans are accustomed to, power ups come out of the blocks, browser's kids are given screen time and fleshed out personalities, and the real earth exists in its true form in the show, mario's world exists in its form with its owns rules and physics as if it were some alternate dimension.(Not that I would want to see the real earth in a mario movie because I wouldn't)

The way they did show which worked well actually makes the live action movie make more sense kind of.
