Re: Reminder: You Can Now Download A Demo Of Immortals Fenyx Rising From The Switch eShop

@citizenerased thanks for sharing the video. It is pretty funny (is that the right word here?) to see them side-by-side. I really enjoy both games for their similarities and differences. The controls in IFR do take a bit to adjust to, and I like the more open exploring available in BOTW (but there’s also something to be said about finding something around every single corner in IFR). I have 150 hours in BOTW and 90 in IFR and think they are both really fun games to play, probably because they are so similar. I thought I was going to be bothered by the Zeus/Prometheus duo, but they really aren’t talking all that much, and some of it is actually pretty funny! The stupid parts I just ignore, they don’t last too long (and the overall story is captivating, IMO). My biggest complaint is that I can’t use Far Sight to scout without revealing anything, so I just don’t use it.

TLDR it’s nice to get a fresh perspective on a game I love, even if it does take a whole lot of its mechanics.

Most of the time it’s just a little annoyance (and, let’s be frank, this is gaming and there are much more important issues out there [just my two cents and you may have a different opinion, no judgment here]). Playing BoTW and IFR I have noticed it occurring more frequently and the only time it’s really bothered me is gliding with Fenyx in some puzzles (I still don’t quite have gliding to a hover down and having the character move on me is frustrating).

Re: Review: Immortals Fenyx Rising - An Off-Brand Breath Of The Wild That's Still Worth A Look

After digging around, it seems that Far Sight is optional to use (to activate it requires certain buttons to be pressed). I think that’s good for people that want to play like me (spend time exploring) and people that want to get to the objectives quickly (through use of icons/map points). Read many reviews and first impression play throughs to find this out. Hopefully it is accurate.

Re: Video: Immortals Fenyx Rising - Switch VS PlayStation 5 Graphical Comparison

The graphic differences really stand out in the Zeus/Prometheus dialog. Overall the frame rates look good on the switch. Graphics seem good enough. Comes down to gameplay. I preordered as I had some gift cards and could get this at a good discount. Looking forward to exploring the land (similar to my approach to BOTW, just took the time to go beat Ganon after 170 hours in).
