Re: Mini Review: The Procession To Calvary - An Absurdist Point-And-Click Quest That Will Split Your Sides

Why. Just why. If a game/article isn’t for you, why not just avoid it? I really don’t get this high horse riding and what about me! stuff at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the so called Christians are also hating on their neighbors and saying “people shouldn’t be gay” or whatever the current rambling is about minorities.

I’m an almost 40 Christian (catholic, in fact) and there is SO much wrong with our religion and beliefs it’s hysterical how much importance people put on them (not talking about the teachings in general, more the people basing everything thing they do and say on some wacky, made up modern interpretations of those teachings).

This game really does sound like it could be entertaining, coming from a python fan. But down the road in a sale. Point and clicks aren’t generally my favorite thing, but I’ve played a couple mobile ones that I’ve enjoyed, so maybe this would be like one of those.

Re: Soapbox: Indies Lead The Way But Nintendo Shows Progress Representing People Of Colour

@Dinh “No,they should not. They should be whatever the Devs want them to be. They should not conform to what other people want or think would "improve" a setting/game.”

@Spiders “our goal should to support and empower diverse creators and leverage our global markets and technology”

Came here to say, it seems like the underlying/root cause of the problem is (may be?) the lack of diversity in the developers. If we want to see more diversity in games, how do we promote diversity in the teams creating them?

Re: Nintendo Confirms New Camera Controls For Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

@Tucker777 I was wondering about this, too. Not having played it, maybe more time is spent with the sword than running around? It also seems like it would be better to click down R for camera, just hold it down to look around, quick release to strike. I always accidentally press the L button down in games when things get heated and I end up crouching or running or doing something silly instead of moving correctly, but maybe that’s just me.

Re: Teenager Hits $1.7 Million In Revenue During Pandemic Reselling Pokémon Cards, Game Consoles And More

@akamu the definition of a scam is a dishonest scheme (quick Google, Oxford languages, similar to Merriam-Webster’s a deceptive act). I didn’t say it was illegal or anything, pretty sure it doesn’t fall in the realm of FTC scams (US). But what I am saying is he’s being dishonest with this move. He’s jacking up the price of something he is quite literally adding no value to (there are no services being provided or additional assets such as fan art he made or creating gaming bundles or anything like that). All he’s doing is flipping the product as fast as he can for double+ the price. I don’t know how that isn’t a scam.

Quick note on the “you could do the same thing with houses” comments. Yes, you could. A lot of people that do that provide some type of additional benefit for it though (renovation, removal of mold and the like, furnish the place, things like that) before charging anything extra for it. Sure, you could buy a house and immediately turn it around for a higher price without doing ANY work or providing ANY service, but that would also be a scam.

@Justifier one difference to point out is holding onto something long-term (> 12 months) vs short term holding for (immediate) resell. Those are different activities (at least in a lot of circles). One is investing (assuming the figurine was considered art and not a toy to play with, if it was a toy to play with them reselling for that much is a bonus onto the fun!) the other is essentially a retail business.

Re: Review: Mario Golf: Super Rush - A Solid Swing, But Par For The Course

@IndoorHero my thought exactly

As for the review, we’ll done. 7 is a game worth playing in my book. One thing that bothers me a little bit is people are excited about dlcs coming with more content, but why wasn’t that content there to begin with? It seems like a pretty light starting package, as far as courses are concerned (for the price).
