Recently we shared some rather positive hands on impressions of Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure, a remastered cult favourite coming to the 3DS eShop. Mastiff has now confirmed that it's not far away in North America, though a European date is yet to be confirmed.
It's coming to the 3DS eShop in North America on 13th October, priced at $14.99. The Gurumin Party Time Theme (below) will be included with all downloads up to 31st October.

It's a title that's certainly been of interest for a while, popular years ago on PSP and PC and recently remastered.
Is this on your wishlist?

Can't wait. Looks like a great remake
I'll definitely be downloading this. Looks like a fun little game!
any idea on the block size?
This game just seems right as rain on 3DS.
I saw the PSP version for sale on Vita PSN and was like "Nope, don't want it- I want the new 3DS version, in 3D, with all my other current games I love"
Getting it day one
Looks to good to pass up .
Just checked online ! The game is 9hrs long ... So worth the money and its looks good too !!
Very nice song in the trailer. Cute visuals too.
I think I own this for vita. I have to re-download to be sure.
Again I ask, someone please make a physical release happen!
@Gauchorino That'd be fantastic but is extremely, highly unlikely to happen for any territory. I never say this since I prefer physical media but I think Mastiff would get more return on their investment by rightfully placing Gurumin 3D in the eShop. (As an aside, I think the name "eShop" should be renamed to something more modern.)
This looks like a 3d platform that reminds me a bit of the N64 days, and I've been dying to get something like that on my 3DS!
Looks great. I might buy that one
@c1pher_c0mplet Generally true (sadly), though I think there's still a market for limited-run niche games like this. For example, River City: Tokyo Rumble's US physical release first-run print sold out within a day, which convinced Natsume to print a second run. Also, "Limited Run Games" is planning on printing physical copies of Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies and the new Fatal Frame in the US. So, I think there's a possibility for this to be made physical as well if there is enough demand expressed for it. Gurumin certainly has enough content in it to warrant a physical release, in any case.
I am surprised how much I've started to look forward to this. Day 1 buy.
@Gauchorino Hmmm, nice to know! I think I caught wind of a limited print run of the River City game but was completely unaware of a physical release for Dual Destinies being in the works... Now, that would be great, especially considering how C(r)apcom has pretty much gone digital-only regarding the Ace Attorney games in North America.
@peeks Good. Not too long. College is kicking my bunghole rn
Well looks like I will be adding this to my phones calendar so I remember to buy on release. Still need to get DQ for the 3DS along with, Pokemon Sun/Mon, Azure Striker Gunvolt physical release, Shantae and the pirate's curse, and 1/2 Half Genie Hero. Not much the other 9 months out of the year and every year I think I will get buy and spend less yet I almost always make up for it. 🙈🤑
this looks like a little gem of a game. i hope it gets a europe release.
i wish mote games if this standard would be released in the summer. so many great games just out and comming out i need to get a payrise and a holiday.
Love Falcom. Will definitely get this.
I'll wait for the review first 😃
Releases on my B-day? Auto purchase.
@JHDK I want to say it was 7K-ish. I'll double check and get back to ya.
@LegendOfPokemon There are loads of review out there from the PSP and PC version. This one is more like the definitive, so hopefully it'll only be up from there.
@andybunn Yup, we'll be announcing the EUR release date shortly - we can say that the EUR release date won't be that far off from the NA release date, so hang tight.
@peeks It's about a 30-35+ hour game.
@MastiffAwareness cool, thanks! i'm looking forward to playing this.
@JHDK Thank you! Sorry for all of the back to back comments. I don't know why we didn't create an account here sooner. ;P
@MastiffAwareness I doubt anyone cares it took a little while. It's just neat to get responses from someone actually involved with the production process. Little personal touches like that make me like and look forward to this game even more than I already was.
@JHDK Well thank you. We're a super small team, but we're definitely trying very hard to make this one a hit!
Also, if you don't mind my asking what is your avatar image? Sorta reminds me of a cross between Jabba's Sail Barge and Bespin city (I'm a total Star Wars nerd). ^DB
@MastiffAwareness It's a silhouette of Space Mountain from Disney World.
Also, gotta give NL props from promoting this upcoming title. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I didn't know this game existed until articles started popping up here. After reading about it I watched a few psp let's plays and it seems like the exact type of game i dig.
Is there any plans for a physical release?
