@unrandomsam Not everyone despises Miis in any form, you know. And even if you don't care about Miis, this is still three new fighters with a whopping 36 special moves between them.
June 6th!!! I'll have to make some Hazel and Augustus Miis for Tomodachi Life if you know what I mean, right after I decide between retail or download...
Ah, the feather... It's a shame that nearly every item in Mario Kart is about ruining other players' fun instead of giving the user a chance to get creative and boost their own performance. Mushroom for life.
Oh, great. Now elitest Smash players can continue to adamantly refuse to try new things, even if custom control setups are better than the default Gamecube controls.
You guys are way to quick on the compulsive hate. I don't even like Sonic but I think this character is pretty great. Plus I think that's the same voice actor as Medusa from Kid Icarus: Uprising!
The availability here really sucks. I'm lucky to have an event 30 minutes from me while the other half of the state is out of luck. How hard can it be to set up demo units, really?
Everyone is panicking so irrationally right now. Obviously they're not going to require figures to unlock anything in the game. It's still Nintendo, and it's still Sakurai.
I'm an awesome snaker, but I would only snake if someone else did or I was falling behind.
Had a lot of great memories playing Pokemon Battle Revolution, too, which I can only do offline now. That's what got me into competitive battling. I was training all the best Pokemon I could, and even though they've all been unfortunately deleted, I can still go back and use them there. Man, that game was heaven for anyone starting to play competitively, with that mystery gift store!
I just frantically got myself to platinum. I don't get why they'd make this demo as apparently exclusive as they did. Seems like a really dumb move especially when most recipients are probably getting it anyway.
I have a question for the NL team. In Mario Kart 7 even 150cc felt slow, perhaps due to wide tracks and generous handling. Is 150cc in MK8 faster than it was in MK7?
FINALLY... but this came out in Japan like a year ago, and the card selection was outdated even then. So unless this is an updated version and/or with DLC and online play, it's not going to be a very good deal...
I'll be all over this. Art Academy doesn't really interest me, but being able to draw Pokemon is a life skill much more valuable than most people realize.
@Angelic_Lapras_King True dat. We were, like, blatantly lied to and disrespectfully trolled, but aside from that this was one hell of a learning experience.
I mean, like, seriously. When else could I have gotten the chance to watch Japanese television in all its glory? It's like Mexican variety shows on drugs. I'll have to really sit on the things I saw tonight for a while and just let it all sink in...
I don't get what people like about this game. It's probably the most meticulous collectathon ever made, especially considering that you need to collect everything in one go and a lot of them are one-chance deals.
What's with all of these super-conservative games Nintendo's been making? NSMB2, 3D World, MK7, Mario Tennis, Yoshi's New Island, all the remakes, and now this too. Every game promises to do something new, but it does just that one new thing and nothing else. I'd rather they try and fail than not try at all.
I mean, welcome to the United States, where every CVS is bordered by a Walgreen's or a Rite Aid. And just as every bank is next to another bank, no two Gamestops will ever be far apart.
I got stuck toward the end for several years (the number thing hidden in the origami birds in the hospital), and I'm quite certain that the final boss is impossible to beat.
I remember when new 3DSware came, like, once a month, and I thought it'd all be good... Anyway, the shop has more than enough Picross for your every square-based-puzzler need.
@PrincessEevee9 Boosting to dodge a blue shell is extremely difficult and only possible in a few games. Otherwise it requires a mushroom and still perfect timing--which also means you might not have a defense against red shells.
The main problem is that red and blue shells are skill-less, effortless, and hardly rewarding at all. Meanwhile power-ups like mushrooms and stars will reward the players for their creativity, often without having to ruin the fun for another player.
As much as I would love to love visual novels, it'll be a long time before they're written with anything near the quality of published, professional novels.
For now and possibly a long, long time in the future, the only "good" visual novels will probably be the ones that are nearly all dialogue, the way video games have traditionally been.

Re: E3 2014: Nintendo Rolls Out New Kirby Game Trailer For Wii U
And to think, just the other day I was replaying Canvas Curse and lamenting over how unlikely a sequel would be!
Though a lot of what I liked about Canvas Curse came from its awesome art style and animations... Clay Kirby will have neither of those things...

Re: E3 2014: Super Smash Bros. 3DS Confirmed For October 3rd Launch
We're all mad about another delay, but remember: "A delayed game is eventually good. A bad game is bad forever."
Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Confirmed for Day One Appearance on Nintendo Treehouse Live Broadcast
You ever wonder if those squiggly Mii eyebrows were added in at Miyamoto's request?
Re: Guide: How To Import Miis Into Tomodachi Life Like A Pro
Question! After creating a Mii, is there any way to go back and change things like their nicknames?
Re: Feature: Psycholodachi - What Makes Life Sim Games Addictive?
A life sim without fashion and dressing up is a life sim I do not want to play.

Re: Miiverse Update Eases Comment Restriction and Boosts Post Character Limit
100-character Miiverse taught me a lot about trimming word and character counts. That's a lesson kids these days will never learn.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's System Updates Bring The Wii U to Another Level
Playing Wii games on the GamePad would've been the best update... if it didn't require turning the TV on first for no reason.
Re: Natsume Announces Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley for a 2014 Release on 3DS
I don't feel like there's ever not been yet another Harvest Moon game on the horizon.
Re: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Release Date and Special Editions Confirmed
That's nice and all, but WOW THAT PRICE. I'd much rather wait for the game to dip to $20 like the original did.
Re: Sonic Boom Titles Given New Names and Gameplay Details
"Rise of _____"? "Shattered Crystal"? Pretty sure I already came up with those subtitles when I was six.

Re: The Official Nintendo Magazine in Spain Highlights Super Smash Bros. on 3DS as a September Release
If Nintendo is actually releasing Smash Bros. 3DS in technically-summer-September they'd be trolling us even harder than Game Freak.
Re: Reaction: Mario Kart 8 Accused Of Poor Sales Potential, Ruining Battle Mode And Racism
Racist, no, ruined battle mode, yes. Polygon's full of clickbait anyway.

Game Freak has been trolling us for years.
This "trailer" is just one more reason why Nintendo should've waited until E3 to drop this remake.
Re: Video: Mario Kart 8's Balloon-Popping Battle Mode Looks Something Like This
Battle Mode has been going downhill ever since Mario Kart Wii. I miss MKDS's survival mode and surrounding myself with banana forts.

A 3DS for every goal scored in a football match? Oh man, I can't even imagine the production costs.
Re: Tomodachi Life is Big on Character, But Modest in File Size
Nintendo is incredible at compressing file sizes. Though when it comes to third party and Wii U games, developers don't seem to care nearly as much.
