Never had doubts the Switch would succeed, especially with lessons learned from the WII-U, but it would be nice if it were a bit more powerful.

J/K, was pissed I couldn't play it last night. I'm so very excited that I finally get to jump into this gem later tonight.

@huddyduddy yes and no. The initial load is still longer than sin, but interstitial loading screens such as world-building transitions have shortened.

I want to love Portia, but it runs like a potato on the Switch. Not much better on PS4 for that matter.

it would be nice to get the original warioware as well since the new entry drops in two weeks

When AM2R was shutdown, Samus Returns was announced within a year. This makes me wonder if Nintendo is being Nintendo, or we will have incoming news for Prime 4 or a remastered trilogy in the next year. The latter is wishful thinking though.

As long as it doesn't run like a potato, I'm down to beat this again.

I'm absolutely stunned how smoothly this game runs on the Switch, it was optimized really well.

Now give us a Hexen/Heretic remaster and I'll be happy.

Digital Nancy Wheeler kinda looks like a barfly going through alcohol withdrawals in that still. Jonathan Byers looks a tad too awake to really emulate Charlie Heaton. Just saying...

@Shadeon_Koopa Yeah, it came out in September 2020. Maybe PJ meant it was announced in December 2018 at the Game Awards.

Capcom needs to stop with their CG animated movies, especially after releasing games like RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake, and DMC 5. They kinda shot themselves in the foot with the RE Engine, which renders people closer to photo-real; it kinda makes their CG movies obsolete.

I agree 100%. My wife started playing Dragon Quest Builders because she's a creative and she likes RPGs, but always brushed off DQ since neither of us are fans of Toriyama's artwork in anime or games. Next thing you know she's played DQ IX to 100% completion and has over 300 hours logged in Builders 2 where she's currently building Kowloon's Walled City.

Blazing Chrome was fun and this looks rad. The art design reminds me of the brutally difficult SNES title, Hagane.

Some Metroid-likes are starting to feel like homages to other homages of Metroid. With that being said, I hope we get that Record of Lodoss War Metroidvania that launched on steam this past Spring.

@NEStalgia Agreed, TV usage + summer weather sucks. NIS' optimization is disappointing, especially when Trails of Cold Steel III ran perfectly fine.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying Ys IX also and am sure I will enjoy the hell out of MHS2 as well, but after playing things on PS5 at 60 fps, frame dips below 30 fps just make me sad hehe.

As long as it's not slide-showy like Ys IX, I'm fine with it.

DQ Builders 2, easily. I've dumped 200+ hours into it.

I kinda want to bitch about the Metroid Prime trilogy as well, but seeing that Dread was announced and it's imminent arrival, I don't think I can justify it.

I'd be stoked for a new Switch model, but honestly after the PS5, the thought of the pre-order hell I went through is triggering some PTSD.

@Snatcher I've owned Okami on five different platforms since it's launch in 2006 and I have yet to beat it. The closest I came was on the Switch, but I get about 3/4 into the game and then something else comes out. It's a damn shame.

Having played this on PC, PS4, & PS5, I'm absolutely shocked (and delighted) on how well this port plays on Switch. It clearly has made concessions to run, but none of them are game-breaking.

This isn't my speed of RTS, but I hope the game succeeds, the art direction is awesome... to look at. I don't know if I would want to play it.

@HotGoomba___Rebrand I was thinking the same thing regarding BL 3 since this DLC is supposed to serve as a bridge between 2 & 3.
