@BloodNinja it's been a slow-news... summer here @ NL, not counting the deluge of Pokemon and Splatoon articles painting the main page daily.

I wish the same would happen when a new or even re-released Zelda or Metroid come out the same year.

I rue most Augusts since that's around the time we start getting tea bagged with Pokemon news on a daily basis, but this year it's been Splatoon 3 AND Pokemon.

I guess that's what I get for being spoiled with a new Metroid and a Zelda re-release last year.

@Daniel36 Square has a great localization group, Vagrant Story also had a good translation. These days, Atlus has excellent localization.

I know that it the translation was prefaced as being rough, but... "- Delicate rewrite that is noted not to damage the original."

Just got a new phone and was shocked that this isn't on the App Store for the iPhone, just iPad. I'd rather play this on my OLED like OBRA DJINN, but I'll be fine just running this on my iPhone. Such a great game.

The art design looks effed up. I love it.

This game is really great so far, the combat is challenging and the art design is cool, but the review isn't lying about those long load times. I haven't encountered frame drops, but I have encountered frame hitching which is really a pain, especially mid-combat. I hope they can resolve these issues in future patches, because its otherwise a great game.

I think we can all agree that this was the least expected announcement of the Direct.

The only prediction I'm actually certain of is that rumored Arkham collection, and I think it will drop around March rather than the August placeholder suggested to capitalize on the release of the new movie.

Now for unrealistic hopes, it would be nice to hear something Metroid Prime related or some word on another Zelda Remaster. Never have been able to play XBC X, so it would be nice for Monolith to port that. Would also nice to to get a release date for Silk Song.

EDIT: Masahiro Sakurai will announce that he will become a DLC character for Smash by transferring his conscience into the game's code. That will definitely happen.

Started it last night and it actually feels like a proper evolution of the series!

Pokemon and Record of Lodoss War for me. My dry spell has ended, finally a game that's not Loop Hero or Stardew Valley will be binged on my Switch.

IMHO, I feel this development team's games are really pretty, but are incredibly bland in terms of story. So no, I won't be rushing to play this one.

@BloodNinja "FF6 and Chrono Trigger are so damn close. They are both amazing, in both story telling and gameplay, though I'm really not a fan of the late-game grind. I felt that FF6 got it better, in that regard. I'm listening to the Chrono Trigger OST right now and it's got so many great idea, as does FF6's OST. For all the things those games do right, the gripes are minor." - is literally like trying to decide between two children for me.

With full hyperbole, I will say that Chrono Trigger's lack of presence on the switch infuriates me. Realistic me says "bummer"

Square doesn't give the fans what they want, or rather they follow market trends to varying degrees of success. They hear that people want Chrono Trigger/Cross, they find a way to shoehorn the properties into mobile games...

I'm not a fan of Sonic as a franchise... but I sure love the fanbase.

I think Link Between Worlds and Samus Returns utilized 3D better. The former because it had actual functional utility by being 3D and the latter because the 3D made the scope of the world grander on a 2D plane.

Alright, stoked to own this for a fourth time lol.

Don't tease us with the listing mentioning Goemon.... we all know we're not getting another Goemon game...
