@Nintenjoe64 The 50Hz versions have been optimised to play exactly like the 60Hz versions. The problem is however, that the Wii U is not able to output them in 50Hz, but does so in 60Hz. This results into double frames with every fifth frame, which doesn't only look horrible, but also means that the game won't register buttons you pressed when the console is displaying a double frame in that exact moment.
I think I'll just buy the normal white one, because of faceplates, coloured buttons and portability. As soon as they release a cool n3DS XL Special Edition, I'll bite again for the bigger screens. This way I'll have both.^^
@Warbeard The article said, that we Europeans get a version with only the second game as well as a slightly more expensive Special Edition with both games. Since our Special Edition matches the US price, the conclusion is that we don't have to pay extra for the first game, but that we have also a cheaper option if we don't need it.
It doesn't matter btw where you live, since the same is true for all of Europe. Maybe netto prices are higher in Denmark, but that's due to your super high VAT and not Nintendo's fault. You can also always import from other European countries if that's cheaper for you.
@FritzFrapp @Warbeard
US pre-tax price: $59,99
UK pre-tax price: £37,49 (~ $59,79)
I assume it's easier to complain right away, instead of doing the maths. Sneaky little barstewards for giving us also a cheaper option that doesn't include the first game!
@GameInfinite Nintendo don't have to sign contracts with anyone regarding the DKC trilogy. They own these games. When Microsoft bought Rare, Nintendo sold only the rights for certain franchises and of course none of those have been games that used their own IPs.
@Captain_Gonru The European eShop is always updated on Thursday, too. They only announce the Monday before what's coming. I really hope for you, you'll get those games soon, too, but their releases dates are no sign for an US release unfortunately.
@readyletsgo I hope you noticed that that one is not an original Nintendo and in fact not even a Gamecube controller, it's just designed to look like one. Other than the Gamecube controller, it has four (digital?) shoulder buttons and just like the Wii Classic Controller it will be plugged into the Wiimote.
@MoonKnight7 This is not some hilly billy shop; we are talking about Saturn, which is together with Media Markt (second largest retailer of consumer electronics worldwide) part of the Metro Group (fifth-largest retailer in the world). Doggeypoopie will happen, if Nintendo still wants to sell some stuff in Europe.
That aside, you can get every game at least 2-3 days before release here. It is nothing news-worthy, nor does Nintendo or anybody else care.
@Lalivero The option wasn't given, because there still will be themed Special Editions for the XL. The normal 3DS stopped getting those, when the XL was released. Now with the new 3DS they are filling the gap.
@Trikeboy That's not true. If you compare the prices, you will notice that it's more like Europe gets also a cheaper option without Bayonetta 1. The price for the standard double pack is pretty reasonable and most likely it will decrease further before release.
@SonicSimmer Did you watch the European direct? The standard 2-disc version will include separate packaging for both games. It was clearly from the picture they showed.
@Haxonberik You take your country way too important if you think that the rating guidelines of the US influence game development of a Japanese company. If they want to add Bayonetta to Smash they will do it and if that influences the rating of the game in the US, it will be censored there.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd October (Europe)
@XyVoX The first one is 60Hz, the second (not even Nintendo knows why) not.
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd October (Europe)
Thanks for giving us another poopoopy 50Hz VC game, Nintendo. And thanks Nintendolife for not even mentioning it!

"I never understood why they would want to sell the charger separate."
That's the reason it was included with the XL in the US- you wouldn't understand.

PS. Many European retailers sell it even cheaper.

Re: Inquisitive Gamers Stumble Across Potential eShop Web Store
@bofis purchases always have been linked to accounts on Wii U and since late 2013 it's also like that on the 3DS.
Re: Inquisitive Gamers Stumble Across Potential eShop Web Store
@originaljohn They already announced last year their plans for a webshop.
Re: Inquisitive Gamers Stumble Across Potential eShop Web Store
@DilMan33 I don't think you'll be able to buy stuff, if you haven't the hardware that is needed linked to your NNID.

Re: XSEED Will Release Rune Factory 4 as an eShop Title In Europe
@ErnisDy
1. You are not forced to connect your 3DS to a NNID.
2. You can transfer your NNID with all your games to a new 3DS as often as you like.
