@samuelvictor This product targets people who don't really play video games (anymore), but remember the good times they had with their NES. What do those people need Gold Points for, if you can't use them for anything without owning another Nintendo console/ handheld.

@rjejr: The Preview (which isn't a demo btw) specifically tells you that while it only contains two static shorts, "you will be able to play to your heart's content" in the full game.

@readyletsgo Guess Nintendo can do without a customer that is stealing their games instead of paying for them. Also, Standard != maximum. Their will be more storage options available to the 20% who need them. Even on PS4 80% of the games aren't bigger than 16GB in size. The rest of them are just badly optimised.
So why should 64GB be the minimum, when barely any game need it. Do you like to throw money down the drain? No, why do you expect Nintendo or Third Parties to do it? Or would you like to pay more for your games, so that most of the them include 50GB+ unused space. Oh, forgot, you don't buy them.

@readyletsgo It's not even "16GB only" at launch as far as we know. It's more likely there will be 32GB and maybe even 64GB carts available as well to Third Parties who want/ need them.

@NintendoEan Nintendo's situation isn't comparable to Sega's at all. Back then we got our gaming information out of monthly magazines and tv ads only. Today information spreads like wildfire via youtube and social media.

@NintendoEan You don't need months of time to get the message across. The Nintendo Switch trailer is already the most-watched video of the NoA youtube channel- ever. They only needed 24 hours for that. What do you think how many people they can reach from January to March, if they're going full steam and hit the message out of the park?

@NintendoEan They are quiet, because it doesn't make sense to promote a product in the holiday season, that can't be bought. It even would harm their business, because less people would buy their actual holiday products (Mini NES, Sun & Moon, 3DS bundles), especially since there are rumours of Sun & Moon ports coming to Switch. They will start to promote NS as soon as the holiday season is over and in the age of social media two to three months are more than enough to promote your product and establish brand awareness. The average consumer won't know about it up until release anyway, like with every other product.

@NintendoEan They just reconfirmed the March date in the trailer. In what Universe would Nintendo, the firm who hasn't postponed an official hardware release date in over 20 years, stick to a release date 5 months before launch that is going to be pushed back?

@getyourak Atlus didn't release most of its games in Europe by themselves, though. NISA released them and the only sale they've ever given us was a permanent price drop for four Atlus games to 10 (SMT: Soul Hackers, EO IV, EOU I) and 20€ (Persona Q), because they did lose the licences after Atlus has been purchased by Sega. Better take the additional discount and buy Persona Q now, if you are interested. Who knows how long it will be available after that.

@Yalaa I can kinda understand, that they rather opt for the multi-5 50Hz version with text-heavier games. Of course they could easily implement the option to download either 50Hz or 60Hz (or even Japanese versions), but I don't see that happening tbh. The European market is almost always an afterthought. -.-

@AlphaJaguar There are people who prefer handheld gaming. The games included in this bundle are also completely remade into 3D, which you don't get on Steam as well.

@brideck Splatoon always has been a budget game in Europe and was priced at 40€ on release. Don't know why that is a full price game in the US.

@brideck For now it's 19,99€, so double the price of N64 games; just like in NA. But they announced in their weekly press release, that it will be reduced permanently to 9,99€ this Thursday (when NSMBU + NSLU will be part of the Nintendo Selects selection as well). Now it makes more sense, that it is that cheap on My Nintendo.

@TsukiDeity The "UK" deals are the same in all of Europe. They are much better over all, but ALBW is part of the Nintendo Selects range in Europe, which explains the difference in that case.

No idea what NoA has smoked to think, they could charge 80 gold points more than NoE for NSLU, though. oO

@Sanicranfast Yes, I know. What I meant is that Nintendo kept the Virtual Console prices they introduced with Wii for Wii U, even though the Pound lost much of its value in the meantime. This lead to the bizarre situation, that the UK is the only country in which GBA games are more expensive than SNES games (on Wii U). Now they have adjusted the price, which isn't really that surprising. I would have expected them to that on Wii U as well.

@ikki5 There is not a single emulator that runs SNES games flawlessly or even just GOOD on the original 3DS. So no, the original one is NOT capable of it. Next time check your facts.

@Kirk They only re-released the GC controller, because fans of SB were asking for it. This controller above is from a third party. There are no other 'traditional type controllers [...] that are severely limited in what games you can use them' from Nintendo.

@ULTRA-64 The Wii U disc drive can't read Gamecube discs, so you have to rip them on a Wii (using another program) or download them on a PC (which you should only do, as long as you own the game). Otherwise the Wii U is completely GC backwards compatible, which is why most games run flawlessly on it.
Technically they could just enable the gamecube adapter for all VC games and dump Gamecube isos onto the eShop (just like they do with Wii games) and I really have no idea why they're not doing it.

You can also use it to play Gamecube games on your Wii U with the original GC controller, as long as you've installed "Nintendont" onto your vWii.

@Grumblevolcano They only clarified, that both campaigns of Fire Emblem Fates won't be (other than reported previously) released on one cartridge, except for the Limited Edition, which was announced as well. Other than that we didn't get any useful information or a release date.
What were they supposed to tell regarding Youkai Watch? "Yeah, btw we know there is only one game, but to clarify it will be only one game in Europe as well. Also, there is no limited edition coming in case you wondered. You knew that before, but we will release the game sometime in 2016, as soon as we have coordinated the anime and merchandise campaigns in all the different European markets." That would have been non-news.

@Grumblevolcano I can't tell if you are serious or not. Do you expect to get news for games that are scheduled for "sometime in 2016" on a weekly basis in 2015? LOL. Here is a secret- Federation Force is just as dead as Yarn Yoshi was before E3 2014.

That aside, there have been news. For example about Hasbro and VIZ Media who have the merchandising and anime licenses and confirmed both will arrive in Europe in 2016.

@tonybrightside Eh... that has nothing to do with the game being included or not. If you think the design is too samey don't buy it. Problem solved.

@tonybrightside How is it a con to give gamers options? If the game were included it wouldn't be free. Instead the MSRP would be higher. There are a ton of Zelda fans who have no desire to buy or play Hyrule Warriors Legends at all, so it's GOOD it's not part of the package.

@WebHead There is a 99,99% chance this is part of an upcoming direct. Why? Because otherwise this would have been completely in German, with a German announcer and German in-game text.
