Yeah once Zelda gets there I’m sold. I’d love to check out the Nintendo land now but my kids (and myself) aren’t into Potter and Dragons so between that and the crazy lines that’ll be there the next few years, there’s not enough to get me there yet

I don’t want any of these chunky pieces to swap in and out. I’d love some bigger buttons but most importantly better non drifting sticks and a d-pad better than the one on the pro controller. I’ve never had an issue with a Nintendo controller until they rushed out the Switch. My Nes ones would wear down after time but that was from extreme button smashing.

Eh, your biggest complaint is something that’s never been done with any Lego set. You pick which one you wanna build and devote a ton of time to it and if you wanna build the other you better plan on twice as much time to devote to that.
Honesty no one should complain, the way people flipped out over Mario not getting a minifig style (and still being crazy popular). Be happy they went the minifig route.

The Tengen NES Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man were miles better than the official versions. A lot of their games were really good.

BotW absolutely has great gameplay but zero story and a mindless villian. So easily Tears is the better imo.

I’d be all done if Xbox ever bought Nintendo. Nintendo would die in the hands of anyone else. None of these other console companies have the guts to take any risks and change up the way people play. All Xbox (and Sony) can do to improve their consoles is make them prettier and bigger. That’s all. At least Sony can make some good games, all Xbox can do is buy good game companies

I could listen to people argue against it not being the NES but if you’re pairing it WITH the Gameboy?! Oh absolutely no one can beat that pair. Most iconic, completely destroyed the competition.
Snes was great but anyone could argue they liked Genesis more.

I’m so heartbroken. Just bought an extended life battery for my Wii U tablet and once I put it in I got a white solid horizontal line now running down the screen 😭

This is my big want of the year. There’s so many games I’m sure I’d like but haven’t gotten but this will be an instant grab. Those games were my childhood and I know the arcade one still holds up. Always thought the gameboy ones looked great but never played them and could never get far enough on the nes one (but I did beat part 2 😉) Get me this game asap

I have a hard time believing "most” have upgraded. That sounds crazy. It’s not that great a deal- the fact that the dlc for animal crossing and Mario kart are only essentially rented don’t help

I love my wiiU. Prefer it to the switch. I would love the next system to combine the switch and the wiiu and be have the two screen capabilities as the Wiiu while also allowing flat out portability.

$70 surprisingly reasonable? Sounds like an ad to me. $70 from a 3rd party I’ve never heard of… naah

If this gets super cheap on sale someday I'll pick it up but honestly that Cowabunga Collection is more than enough to fill my turtle needs

The Pinball Arcade was soooo good when they had all the good licenses for tables. It was so awful they lost the rights to Williams and Bally tables, they were doing so well at grabbing the best tables- and doing whatever they needed to do to raise money for any licensing fees.
I can’t get into these versions. All the extra digital animations they add.. bleh. I liked pinball for the real mechanics of the game, if I’m gonna play it on a digital format I want it to feel as much as possible to that true machine.

There have been a LOT of collections put out in the past couple years, and a lot of really good ones- but I can’t think of a better one than this. I would’ve been happy with less than half those games.

@Nintendo4Sonic honestly I always feel the snes game is a bit overrated while the original gets underrated- but I would definitely say the gba games were the absolute peak for metroid. Not that the games that came after were bad, they’re all nice- but the gba games were perfect

Ms Pac man would make this a no brainer for me, but if they don’t want to pony up whatever percentage of their profits to whoever to do it then that’s the choice they make- and my choice is to not get it.

@Yosher Ms Pac Man is the superior game because the stages keep changing unlike Pac man which just repeats the same stage throughout. Plus she’s a babe.

Who’s that stupid writer you guys always post articles of, that always goes on a rant that Nintendo NEEDS to put their IP on other consoles like Xbox and ps to survive? Those articles are always so laughable.

Arkanoid is my wife’s favorite game- she’s great at the arcades and I was able to get a Nintendo version where the controller works good. If they can release a paddle controller for this I’m sold. Especially if it’ll work on an upcoming arcade archives version

@Gs69 YES! I’ve been having wrist problems and there’s a VERY noticeable difference between playing with these hori pads vs the joy cons.

Other M is so much fun. I couldn’t believe the hate it got. Dread is an excellent game but IMO the gba era was metroids peak. Zero Mission and Fusion are so much better than any others I’ve played.

Ugh. You had me till the wired. I love my pad pro (the Pac man version!) but there’s no need for this upgrade if it’s not wireless. But thanks anyways hori- those guys are the best 3rd party guys going by far.

I was probably gonna get it if it got me to own the download of the animal crossing dlc and not just access to it. If that’s the case then I might just download the dlc flat out and skip the expansion. I already own the Genesis compilation game digitally on my switch and there’s not enough meat on that n64 bone for me. I already have the mario all stars and loz’s are incredible but I have them on the 3ds for portability. I might order a 64 controller and if I can get the 6button Japan Genesis controller at a decent price I’d LOVE to get that.
Was really hoping this would be like a $5 upgrade at best

All I know is the Genesis part is killing me. I already have the downloaded copy of the Genesis Collection on my switch cause I knew it was something I’d want to play from time to time and that has a ton of games on it. And the fact that we’re getting the option of the 3 button Genesis controller over the awesome 6 button 🤦🏻‍♂️

@Wexter thanks for all that. I’m not unfamiliar to the game- I played thru the original, but never finished part 2 and that’s where I stopped. Would totally get these if it weren’t internet needed- I like to play on my work breaks

Windwaker for sure. Sick you can have the wiiU's dual screen to replicate the GBA bonus or to just play off tv. A switch version couldn't replicate that.
Looking forward to Skyward Sword but I only just finally played through it at the start of the pandemic so I'm in no rush to go through it again so soon. But it's definitely a top Zelda imo.

This article's everything I love about nintendo. These weird, fun ideas are never just thrown out there- they feel like it, but they aren't. Its always something well thought out and crazy innovative. A lot of times they don't blow the market away, but i get one, i'm pretty much never dissatisfied.
Sony and Xbox will never fail at things like this because they'll never attempt anything like this. The next xbox and PS will be the same as the current except with more power and better graphics. That's it. Any change to that will be when Nintendo has a big hit, like when the wii introduced motion controls.
So Nintendo will always be the one innovating. and I will still look forward to whatever new wacky add on they do, and I will still reminisce about things of the past. My e-reader, Gameboy camera, Power Pad, Donkey Kongos, wiiFit scale will always hold a special place in my gaming memory- and some of those I still use frequently.

Blah. I’ll never get all the FPS love . I grew up loving the original game and over time all the other 2d versions. The GBA games are absolutely the top of the franchise. And pinball deserves to be higher up than it was.
