At long last, Nintendo is releasing Super Hornio Bros and Super Hornio Bros II. In Lego form. Not exactly the platform we were all expecting, but beggars can't be choosers.
I know someone who came to me to ask about this because they thought it was real. I know a different person who believed that an entire local river and bay was to be drained to clean it up... because it was posted on a (satirical) "news" website. Critical thinking is an increasingly rare skill in modern times.
@Eel Oh, definitely. But items described as "coral" kind of vary in hue sometimes. Some things listed as coral are really more of a rose pink with the slightest tinge of orange, and the pictures make the Switch seem more in line with that (which is likely why you see many people calling it pink). I was actually pretty shocked by how different the color is.
Pretty sure Nook and Mabel should be much older. Bah. One thing I always hate about humanization art is they tend to make everyone young, hip, and conventionally attractive. It's sort of boring.
Would need to hear a bit of it to decide. Back in the days of Napster, I learned that "remix" can either mean amazing, popping dance version of a song... or a stripped down version with a beat added that only resembles the song when they thrown in a few notes from the chorus.
@PALversusNTSC I currently work in aBSL 2/3. When we're working with respiratory diseases, we use these sort of NIOSH approved N95s (plus a face shield because these are not splash proof) if we can't get a hold of a PAPR. A PAPR is 500% more ideal, but the N95s work well enough. The catch is that not all people can wear the same style/size/etc of N95, so this donation may not cover everyone.
Actually, all the veterinarians in my lab are currently wearing these N95s while working with us because some staff have been coughing off and on.
@Damo Pretty sure that is not accurate, though. The Go community is very diverse. The group at my job is equally male and female, married and single, ages mid-twenties to late fifties.
Not to mention that a lot of people are curious about the game, and are likely to want to chat if they realize you have a watch to play it.
Sites that allow anyone to review without confirmation of purchase are a blight upon media. I'm tired of people trying to destroy things they haven't even seen/played/etc just because they're butthurt about something.
......... what is the issue here? He was stopped on the shoulder; not actually driving while playing. If anything, he was acting more responsibly that many players.
As long as it has the cheerful music and sounds, I'm totally in! For some reason, those always bring me to such a happy, zen place while I play. It's lovely.
Lol nope. At least in the US, we would have to update infrastructure and have non-greedy ISPs first. There are still people on dial-up in some places. Even more only have DSL and/or cable available to them, which can -based on my own experience- barely handle video streaming.
@Preposterous Pokemon Cyber makes me think of TRON-like Pokemon and a Hackers-like environment. I feel like it needs to be a thing. You know, if Pokemon wouldn't place a smack down on anyone who tried to make it.
@Heavyarms55 I think they would likely just update Pokemon Go instead of making a mobile "Pokemon Snap". Go already has the camera feature, so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch.
There is only one explanation for all of this: someone found a Monkey's Paw, wished for a mainline Pokemon game on a home console, and then this happened.
Whoever did it, know that we are all very disappointed in you.
Needs to either be clamshell or have a sturdy snap on screen cover incorporated into the design. While /I'm/ fine without either of those, I do know several people who haven't bought a Switch because they're freaked out by the open screen design. It's a dealbreaker for them.
@Galenmereth I'm assuming you're talking about Gold/Silver being able to fit so much on a GB cart, but that wasn't Game Freak's accomplishment. They had no idea how to do it. Satoru Iwata is the one who should be credited for that.
@Heavyarms55 Not to mention the friendship system with gifting, trading, and battling. Where I work, there is an entire community of Go players that help each other out and meet up for raids.
That was so pure omg. I love Pajitnov. He went from a USSR state programmer that made games after hours to the game developer of one of the most popular games in the world. For years, he didn't even make money on his game. Despite all that, he remains excited and happy about Tetris and what it has become. Such an awesome guy.
@Illusion Nah. You just gotta make sure your Pokemon have their extra rabies vaccines, full titers, paperwork proving everything, and that you did everything following the very specific regulations that have very specific timing.
Or maybe there isn't a licensed vaccine that covers those Pokemon. That could also prevent importation.
....... thinking about it, Pokemon Rabies would be actually quite terrifying......
@justin233 But it's the pointless peripherals that end up collector's items down the road. Hell, the Pokewalker is starting to get up there in price, and it's not even a full 10 years old yet.
I find it weird that we haven't seen anything for a game that's supposed to come out in a few months. As much as it sucks, a delay wouldn't surprise me.
... imagine actually trying to throw that giant Pokeball. Those trainers must have some mad upper body strength.
While I'm jazzed to see Pokemon on the overworld again, I'm still not sure what I think about the quasi-realistic environment paired with 3DS-esque characters. It's really strange to me, and I can't decide if it's something I could get used to or not. Hm.
Nintendo, what do you all have against the Washington DC area? We're the 6th largest metro area, and yet events pretty much never come here. Wtf, guys.

FYI for anyone who doesn't have one: it's not pink at all. It's a light reddish orange.
Give us legit pink, Nintendo!

@Trajan I might actually buy those. Granny panties for the win. (These are not granny panties, fyi... they're more of a bikini cut.)

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
My PS4 controller has completely died after only a year, and I barely used the thing.
My PS3 fried itself after two years, was repaired, and then fried itself again a year later and had to be replaced.
My current PS2 is my fifth, as each had failures after only two or three years.
All things considered, the occasional drift is a comparatively minor inconvenience to me.
Re: Random: Everyone On This Southwest Flight Got A Nintendo Switch For Free
