Re: Feature: 20 Great Gaming Accounts You Should Follow On Bluesky

Natsura

@dartmonkey I am a long-time Mastodon user tbqh

I have been using it since... what 2018? Before even Musk bought Twitter, and I would love it if more things like Nintendo Life popped up on Mastodon. If you all need any help finding a good instance for you guys on Mastodon I can definitely offer some assistance there, as I have migrated accounts from one instance (server) to another.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Releases 18th November

Natsura

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this going to be the first region where we can travel with Venonat without needing the National Pokedex?

Hoenn didn't have native Venonat, Sinnoh didn't, Unova didn't, Kalos didn't, Alola didn't, and neither did Galar... so unless I am forgetting something about one of those regional Pokedexes... Venonat being in this game's regional Pokedex is big news

Re: E3 Is Going To Be Digital-Only Again This Year, Thanks To COVID-19

Natsura

@chapu2006 @QueenKittenWrite is probably a trump supporter who doesn't believe in any of the COVID practices... probably doesn't even believe the vaccine helps protect people against COVID. Sure the vaccine doesn't make one immune from the virus, but it sure as hell does lessen the chances of you catching, and it also lessens the effects of the disease.

And since this is a gaming site... I have a analogy... for everyone... The vaccine and a mask is like using Reflect and Light Screen in a Pokemon battle... it isn't as good protection like the move Protect, but it sure as hell does help cut down the amount of damage you take from attacks. So yeah, keep dismissing usefulness of masks... hope you enjoy catching COVID, because it is bound to happen, @QueenKittenWrite

Re: E3 Is Going To Be Digital-Only Again This Year, Thanks To COVID-19

Natsura

@QueenKittenWrite good to know you wouldn't mind a surgeon not wearing a mask when doing life saving surgery on you. Also science does prove masks work. People can breathe fine, and it doesn't really allow that many particles of spit out. It does help prevent you from getting covid...

Also mind telling me what good the "Republicans" have done like ever besides HELP THE RICH AND HURT EVERYONE ELSE?

Re: The Pokémon Creative Team Has Been "Through A Lot" With Angry Fan Feedback

Natsura

@Mauzuri yeah anything in any game looks ugly when you look at it close enough... It's like if I were to complain about the details on the TVs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons just because "they look bad" when I zoom in on them... The trees don't look too bad IMHO especially when one considers they aren't exactly something the player is expected to focus on intently.

I mean I would be more upset with the trees if they were something you could headbutt like you could in Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heart Gold, or Soul Silver... The trees with the berries also look decent enough, since they are something the player interacts with.

Re: Poll: Are You Enjoying Animal Crossing: New Horizons Version 2.0?

Natsura

Got both the expansion pack for the NSO AND the DLC separately, and I am enjoying both so far. (didn't really have any connection issues in regards to N64 games when playing with my long-distance girlfriend... she lives in Switzerland, and I live in NJ).

The DLC for ACNH is awesome as well. Already have all but one of the facilities unlocked.

Re: Happy Halloween! Nintendo Has Released A Free Metroid Dread Demo

Natsura

Finished playing the demo about an hour and a half ago... really enjoyed it, and I would love to pick up the full game myself... but I lack the funds to get it right now. Guess I am going to have to add it to my wishlist, and get it whenever I can end up affording the game. Really think the game itself should cost like $40, since it is nothing more than a glorified GBA game (maybe 3DS game) that was released on the Switch. By what I have heard... the game isn't that long either, so there isn't much content to make it worth that $60 price point, especially for the common costumer. Who probably wouldn't try to speedrun or reply the game a billion and one times.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Final Fighter Is... Kingdom Hearts' Sora!

Natsura

@PickledKong look you are free to have your opinion, and I am free to have mine. I just find Animal Crossing to be way more relaxing and fun. I never found competitive games to be all that amusing/entertaining tbh, and the Sora announcement was the final nail in the coffin for me in regards to me ever playing Smash ever again.

And also ACNH to me isn't incomplete. I don't like to look at games that way. I do enjoy ACNH way more than I enjoyed ACNL or any previous Animal Crossing game, but that is just me. And also my island isn't all that well decorated or terraformed. I just enjoy the game as a game that I can play to turn my mind off, and just relax.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Final Fighter Is... Kingdom Hearts' Sora!

Natsura

Smash Brothers Ultimate is still archived on my Switch, and this fighter isn't going to get me to redownload Smash Ultimate... I have zero interest in Sora as a character, nor Kingdom Hearts as a whole. Both are super uninteresting to me.

I am happy for those that are super excited though, but for me... Smash is still dead to me. Once Sora was revealed, I was happy that the dishwasher repairman had arrived a few moments after Sora was revealed, because I have 0 interest in this character.

Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, 23rd September

Natsura

I am going to have to leave about an hour earlier for taekwondo than normal, since I normally leave around 6:30pm EST for taekwondo, and since I don't want to miss it. I can always catch most of it while I am riding in the Lyft, and then the rest when I arrive at the dojo.

I don't know what I am hoping to see tomorrow, but I do know the chances are probably slim, but Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes (I know that it is less likely, because Pokemon had its own Direct not too long ago, but those games are coming out soon, and so it wouldn't hurt for those games to get more screen time.) But other than that I don't know what I am expecting to see.

Re: Yoda Voice Actor Tom Kane Retires After Stroke Takes Away His Voice

Natsura

I might not have been a fan of Star Wars at all (more of a Star Trek fan myself), but I can imagine how the fandom might feel about this. I do wish him well, and I do wish the people behind Star Wars (Lucas Films if I recall correctly)... best of luck with finding a new voice actor for Yoda.

I also hope he can get well soon, and if not then I hope he can find some semblance of peace with his new condition.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Online Exhibition Opens With Player Diaries

Natsura

@VoidofLight yeah it is disappointing, but I do think your wording was a bit off.

"Well, this series is now dead, at least to the people who played the others." sorta sounds like you are speaking for the entirety of people who have played previous games. Try to word your comments on this aspect better in the future, since people like me do exist, and our feelings are still valid.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Online Exhibition Opens With Player Diaries

Natsura

@VoidofLight I have said this before... It isn't dead to me, and I have played the other games. I enjoyed the hell out of New Leaf, really enjoyed City Folk, Wild World, and the GameCube Animal Crossing.

So just because someone has played the other games... doesn't mean it is dead to them. What you are saying would be like if a Star Wars fan were to say, "well if anyone watched the original trilogy... then the series is dead to them now, because it is ***** to them". Meanwhile that argument falls on its face too easily.
