Re: Feature: Tales From the Front Line of amiibo Collecting

NESguy94

You should be able to buy any of them on Nintendo's website. If they want some to be limited, you have a month to buy them. Then everyone has a fair chance to get the ones they want.

I feel bad for kid that want these since you either have to preorder then or be the first in line on the day of release. These things were made for kids and the adults are the only ones who are finding them. I didn't and don't plan to get all of them but I'd like to buy summer of my favorite characters like Captain Falcon or MegaMan.

Re: Review: NES Remix Pack (Wii U)

NESguy94

I really enjoyed this! I was going to download them at some point but the physical copy sealed the deal for me. There are some great sections and in certain games like Zelda and Kid Icarus you get to play through most of the major parts of the game. The remix levels were probably my favorites. The game gets a little hart at times but I wouldn't have it any other way. The one real complaint I've got is that they included a bunch of the black box sports games which could be really difficult and extremely boring.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Pokémon Game?

HG and SS were my favorite. If you count the teenagers as part of their original gen (ie ORAS is gen 3) then currently
Gen 1 - 15%
Gen 2 - 30%
Gen 3 - 17%
Gen 4 - 8%
Gen 5 - 11%
Gen 6 - 11%
IDK - 8%

I am suprised and kinda glad that gen 3 isn't in the lead especially since so many people make a big deal about it and it just wasn't as good some other entries, but I haven't played to much of Alpha Sapphire that much yet.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Smash Bros. Game?

Wow, I thought I was the only one who didn't think Melee was the best!

The Wii U version is shaping up to be my favorite (I haven't played 3DS yet). The online modes work well, everything is super polished and there are so many characters and stages to choose from. My few complaints are that there is no story mode and no Solid Snake or Roy.

While the Subspace Emissary was a little weird I wish they would have brought something like that back. It did a great job of helping you get better at using characters that you might not have normally chosen.

Melee is great and it was the one I spent the most time playing and I can see why people love it, but it isn't my favorite.

Re: Review: Duck Hunt (Wii U eShop / NES)

NESguy94

This is a must buy if you don't already have the NES version. That said, I'll think I'll pass since I've already got every release of Duck Hunt except the PlayChoice 10/VS Duck Hunt version. The zapper was part of the original experience and without the flash of the screen and feel of the spring loaded trigger it just won't be the same. The zapper was super accurate and you didn't experience lag.

Re: December's Club Nintendo Rewards Aim to Bring Festive Cheer

NESguy94

Can we please get rid of Wii VC rewards and just focus on the Wii U, you know, that system that they are currently trying to sell. The physical rewards aren't even worth mentioning.

I picked up Game and Watch Ball a few years ago and now I have 1,600+ points just sitting around. Japan and Europe have had some great figurines and soundtracks.

Yes, you can keep scanning the same Amiibos once a day for new items/rupees. I wonder if the items will be less valuable the more you scan the same figure or if it is completely random. It could be that you get a really good item the first time you scan it and it is random after that?

Re: Video: The Top 10 Mario Platformers, As Selected By You

NESguy94

Very good list guys.
This list would be almost identical to my own if Sunshine was at the bottom or not on here at all. It is a great game but I feel that New Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros. 2 deserve a spot on this list a bit more. I think my opinion can change depending on which Mario games I have played recently.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Shadows of the Empire

7/10 seems a little harsh. I finally got around to playing SotE a couple years ago and it was awesome. Obviously by today's standards it may be not be as great, but back then it did a lot considering the hardware limitations. I would give it an 8/10 at least.

Re: Modder Shows How to Play the 3DS With a GameCube Controller

NESguy94

Very nice, I was just working on something like this, only it was for a SNES to be controlled by an arcade stick. This is harder though because of the analog stick and programmable buttons.

The problem I have is that it isn't very portable anymore but it is a neat project none the less. If it wasn't for the ability to program buttons, you could remove the bulky exterior board and it would be portable.
