Yes, the fact that you can't access areas of the game without buying something to access them is on-disc DLC. Although, it is nice to have tangible DLC that you can share.
@Brando67854321 From a business point of view they should put it on the 3DS or Wii U virtual console so that they can sell more systems. It would also get a lot more attention the same way people are more interested 3DS eshop games than DSi games.
I'll be flying to Europe to see my famiy and I've got a bunch of DS and 3DS games packed. I will be playing -Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask -Kid Icarus Uprising -Mario Kart 7 -Picross DS I also might play some Black Ops or Halo Reach before I leave.
I don't think some of you understand. Nintendo has promised to implement this feature in the future on future consoles. The Wii and 3DS are not covered right now and it is possible that the Wii U isn't either.
The warranty should cover this no problem. From what I've heard the system was released without the update because they had already begun manufacturing systems and they wanted them to all be the same at launch. I'm sure you'll be able to buy one in the future that has everything pre-installed.
If it is true that you can't play off the External drive Nintendo is being stupid. I don't mind not being able to copy data though. I buy hard copies of everything anyways..
I enjoy achievements as they add a nice replay value to a lot of games. They help make a great game last longer. On the other hand they can be utterly ridiculous and they don' truly add anything to a game. I would like to see an achievement/unlockable idea implemented that gives you items and clothes for your Mii. For example, if you finish Super Mario Bros U, you get a Mario hat for your Mii but if you 100% the game you get a Tanooki suit. Simple stuff like that makes it worth it to me.
Wait, the buttons that appear at the bottom of the screen to help you out are labeled wrong for the WiiU. The buttons that are displayed are the XBOX 360's button configuration A and B are mixed up and X and Y are mixed up. Yet the Wii U controller that is shown shows the buttons in the right configuration.
I enjoyed it but I was never draw into it as much as most Mario games. I could play long enough to nab one Shine Sprite and then turn it off for the day while I would grab 30+ star in one sitting of Galaxy 1 & 2 and Mario 64. With the originals on the NES I could play world after difficult world without stopping.
I don't know what it was about this game but it just doesn't have the appeal most Mario games do.
I finally have some time on my hands, so I will be playing Super Metroid, Banjo Kazooie and Kid Icarus Uprising. If I get a chance I want to play a little Earthworm Jim 3.
Super Metroid and Quake (N64). I pulled out my NES after work today and beat Wizards and Warriors. Maybe I'll try to beat a game on each major Nintendo console.
I think Reggie is right, they give us something nice and we throw it in their faces demanding more. As a Legend of Zelda fan, I see this a lot from other fans. Why can't people be happy with what was given to them.
Yes, I would have enjoyed a new Metroid or StarFox, but we will see them again. Just because we didn't get them this year doesn't mean that they will never come.
Nintendo Land isn't perfect but it actually looks fun and it will draw in a lot of consumers. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Paper Mario: Sticker Star looked amazing! Why do we need 10 great games to have a great E3? Also we get 2 new Mario titles. What does everyone complain about? They say that Nintendo doesn't change, well Nintendo is trying something else, give it a try before you complain.
Nintendo has shown that they are still making good games and that their console looks like it will be amazing. We can't ask for much more.
Graphics aren't everything, but, it would be nice if Nintendo would launch this with better processors so that they don't set themselves up to be in a position where they haves the weakest system. I would pay a few hundred extra dollars if Nintendo would make a few changes.
The battery life is also going to be really annoying. It seems that Nintendo would have listened to the fans that complained about the battery life on the 3DS and learned from their mistakes.
Nintendo needs to be willing to spend a little extra money on good parts for the Wii-U to give it a competitive edge.
I've seen a lot of dead consoles but I like to fix them more than turning them into something new. It's fun and profitable, plus when I get one that doesn't work, I'll keep all the working parts and shell for the next repair. This is really cool idea though, just don't destroy anything that is rare or a limited edition version.

Re: Atari's U.S. Division Files For Bankruptcy
@GreenDream Atari never had amazing success after Crash of '83. The 5200, 7800, Lynx, and Jaguar all did poorly compared to their competition.
Re: Rumour: Monster Hunter 4 Delay Is Due To PS Vita Port
So, Nintendo fans are being hurt because Sony's version isn't ready. Release it twice and double the hype.

I still respect Nolan Bushnell and all the others, like Ralph Bear, who made gaming what it today but given his history of poor calls I'm not worried.

This sounds like the opinion of someone who wishes an old enemy ill will.

Too bad that it is ending, but this kind of game needs an ending at some point. I can't wait to play the final two games.

When I lived in Hungary, they had a 26% VAT on top of a few other import costs and taxes, one good Wii game could cost you $80 easily.

Re: E3 2012: Watch the Nintendo Press Conference Live Here
Well.... That was a letdown. We needed at least one of the following for this to be considered a success, Zelda, Metroid, or Starfox.
