Re: Review: Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising - Tedious Side Quests Mar This Prequel's Metroidvania Charm

@LittleGhost Agreed. It seems like this reviewer has reviewed this as a £50 Triple A supposed Masterpiece. I checked a bunch of other sites and videos and they were all giving it 7+. Pointed out its flaws and accepted that is was decent rather a great game. Looks anything but average, but when I have to collect 20 pig hearts and 10 logs of wood in Xenoblade 3, getting the quest at level 10 and can’t complete until 53, I’ll be looking for this guy’s 5 out of 10. Probably wouldn’t be brave enough to post that! Btw I love Xenoblade.

Re: Deals: Lots Of Top Nintendo Switch Games Are £15 Off In The UK Right Now

@Abeedo So the problem with the article is it’s written suggesting they were a flat £50 or £60 at the beginning. That wasn’t true, in fact Bravely Default was at £38, and it’s what £35 now? That’s a £3 discount, and it’s a similar case with all the games here.

The way the website is set up, shows RRP, then the discount to show the difference. That’s a common market strat and I’d assume anyone writing about that should know it.

@Specters Which version of Elden Ring were they reviewing? I played over 100 hours and didn’t have a single noticeable frame rate issue. I can’t speak for Rune Factory yet but it seems there are consistent frame issues at key moments.

Shame. My wife had been really looking forward to this after I got her 4 on a whim. Seems similar to how I feel about Disgaea 6. They must know by now what the fans want and they must have known they were delivering a sub part experience. Hopefully next time they buck their ideas up.

Re: Ori Developer Moon Studios Labelled "Oppressive" Workplace In New Report

I work in the Games industry and the idea this would happen in our company is beyond crazy. I don't understand why people are like this. We've just had a tight deadline and we were working so hard to get things through, we had a last minute issue that delayed us a tiny bit as well. Yet we worked together, helped each other and in a couple of weeks are having a small party to celebrate. Some places get too big for their boots I guess. 'I work for Blizzard or Ori therefore I'm better than anyone'.
