Re: Review: Gunman Clive 2 (3DS eShop)

Mollutje

Thought this one was kind of a mixed bag frankly. They were certainly more ambitious with it than the original, but that didn't necessarily lead to better gameplay experiences. The 3D and autoscrolling levels could be a real nuisance, and there is one boss in particular which was just ridiculously hard to dodge with the game's slow controls. I feel the controls weren't tight enough to make the new level design really come together.

Re: New Nintendo Direct Airing 5th November

Mollutje

Guessing this would be the perfect moment to divulge the release date for MK8 DLC. Maybe throw in some new info on Captain toad. A European date for Shovel Knight would be great too. This will probably be a minor direct, but I'm excited nonetheless.

Re: Nintendo Download: 1st May (Europe)

Cave Story for sure! Considering my schedule, I don't think I'll have enough time to play any new titles until Kirby rears his pink little head and then it's off to the land of Mario Kart 8! Child of light seems like a great game, but I'm looking for some fast paced stuff at the moment.

Re: Shovel Knight Targeting 31st March For Launch

Mollutje

What a coincidence, I was really wondering when this gem would be "unearthed" as they so aptly phrased it. I really hope this game lives up to my expectiations, because so far it looks very kickdonkey.
Please watch the profanity — TBD

Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2014

Mollutje

A lot of these really don't appeal to me that much to be honest. I'm much more looking forward to the upcoming Wii U titles. Mario Kart 8 in particular. Kirby seems like it will be a charming new title, but Yoshi's New Island seems thoroughly uninspired. Frankly, I'm most excited about the eShop titles. C'mooooooooon Shovel Knight!

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts

Mollutje

Never played a CoD game in my life, so the fact that they release one every year doesn't really matter to me. I only very occasionally have a shooter-itch to scratch, so I might just pick this game up. On the other hand, with a zelda an mario game coming up in the near future and a professor Layton title waiting to be delivered to my home, I don't think it'll be anytime soon.

Re: Are You Fast Enough to Enter the SteamWorld Dig Perfect Run Contest?

Mollutje

Yeah.. not gonna do that. Such a feat would require a lot of tries I'm afraid.. And I don't like speedrunning anyway. I still think the game is awesome and I'm certainly going to be playing it again in the near future, but I'm not going to be the perfect digger.. well, perhaps I will get all four gold medals eventually, but with about six hours as my original time I highly doubt it.XD

Re: Nintendo Will Be "Careful" About The Artistic Direction Of Zelda In The Future

Mollutje

Dammit! Thanks fanboys for making another developer take a conservative approach. You can't please everyone Aonuma-san! Just do what you do best, make awesome games! Pandering to fanboys just has the risk of giving us those "just okay"-experiences like NSMB or Paper Mario Sticker Star. I loved the art direction for just about every 3D zelda title, the differences made them feel unique, and that's something I for one applaud.

Re: Ubisoft Delayed Rayman Legends On Wii U In Fear Of Low Sales

Mollutje

It'll launch close to Wonderful 101 in Europe, so it depends on the quality of that game whether I will pick up Rayman Legends right away. I sort of understand their concern, but that move alone made matters so much worse for Wii U from my perspective. The fact that one of its more promising exclusives was pushed away and made a non-exclusive really made me feel like the console had troubles for the first time since I bought it.

Re: Mutant Mudds Deluxe Confirmed for 13th June in North America

Mollutje

Hm.. as much as I like Mutand Mudds, there's a lot of stuff coming out for me the following months and I'm not sure if 20 new levels are worth repurchasing it. Also, the layer-mechanic worked beautifully with the 3DS, so I'm a little worried if the lack of 3D will be confusing.

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About the 3DS

Mollutje

I'm a big fan of my 3DS, lovely little console. I'm taking a little break from it at the moment to finish up the titles I still had lying around for Wii U, but I'm certainly going for the "too many games"-promotion. Now all I need to do is get my girlfriend one as well, so I can finally experience some local multiplayer fun!

Re: The Wonderful 101 Launch Dates Revealed

Mollutje

I'm still gonna go for Rayman I'm afraid.. unfortunate timing on the release date I'm afraid. Doesn't mean I won't be getting TW101 eventually, but I'm simply too stoked for Rayman Legends. Ah well, with NSLU and Pikmin on the horizon there's plenty to keep me entertained.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th May (Europe)

Mollutje

I was planning on buying some more credit for my Wii U to buy Runner 2, but it seems that won't be necessary now. Also, never played super metroid.. might as well pick it up now. I've heard some great things about it, so for this price.. I'd be a fool to skip it.

Re: The Wonderful 101 Is Focused On "Fun" And Not Game Length

Mollutje

Well.. if it's pure fun with no filler then this might just be a good thing. I finished nano assault in a day as well, but I expect to come back to that game a fair number of times too, so this might not be a problem. However, I'm not sure if this game has that arcade-like infinite playability to it. When does it even come out by the way?

Re: New Legend Of Zelda Title Confirmed For Nintendo 3DS, Due Late 2013

Mollutje

Wasn't too sure if I liked the top down perspective, I was expecting the new 3DS Zelda to be more.. well.. 3D. But after a nice long look at the trailer on my 3DS I'm convinced this was a very good idea. It looks like a more back-to-basics approach, but it seems to work surprisingly well with the 3D effect.
