Re: Fatten Mario's Wallet with New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC

Mollutje

@Haywired It may have sounded that way, but Nsmb2 had the most levels in any Nsmb game to date, plus a damn load of hidden exits in those levels. Even if despite that you can blast through it pretty fast after a few times, it certainly didn't feel like an incomplete game, so I wouldn't say this is the wrong type of DLC. The fact that these levels are only coin rush levels make them feel much like a bonus as well.

So.. they said what these packs will cost in Japan right? Can anyone give an estimate what that'll translate to for us?

Re: The Denpa Men are Coming to Your 3DS Next Week

Mollutje

Yet anóther title that seems interesting but is outside my grasp since I live in bloody Europe! I can live with a little bit of delay, but being kept in the dark about the simple matter of whether or not this is going to be released in Europe at áll rather sucks, frankly. Fractured Soul, The Denpa Men, HarmoKnight, those new Mutant Mudds levels.. all stuff to look forward to, but I don't even know whether any of it's gonna make it to the EU Eshop anytime soon. Or at all for that matter.

Re: Rhythm Hunter: HarmoKnight May Get Groovy in the West

Mollutje

I'd be rather pissed if I found out they won't localize it. The eshop's got some quality titles, but it's been a while since I last downloaded something. This one looks like it'll keep me occupied for quite some time, and I can't imagine it would be a lot of effort to release it in the west, so what's keeping you, Nintendo?

Re: Sony: Wii U Offering "Something That Vita and PS3 can do Quite Easily"

Mollutje

The fact that you need both consoles to mimmick the Wii U experience makes me doubt whether developers are keen to experiment with it. Also, what happens as soon as that ps4 of theirs comes out, which is supposed to be on a waaaaaay different level? Wouldn't the Vita by that point lag behind it's younger home console brother too much to continue cross-play capability? Don't think this'll work..

Re: First Impressions: Nintendo Land's Multiplayer Games

Mollutje

A lot of times when reviewers say it's a shame there's no online multiplayer I disagree, with the NSMB series for instance, but I would actually be rather bummed out if this one only has offline multiplayer, because I rarely have enough people around to play local coop, and face it, this sort of game wouldn't be quite as entertaining with computer players.. I doubt whether they'd even make that possible, so here's hoping you can even play these games if you're all alone at home.

Re: ZombiU Gets Royally Scary in Buckingham Palace

Mollutje

Still not sure if this is the game for me, but it looks better than I'd anticipated! The title made it sound like typical shovelware, but this may turn out to be a high quality game.. Not that a scaredy cat like myself would want to buy it now..

Re: Grab Your Kirby 20th Anniversary Puzzle Swap Piece Now

Mollutje

after taking my 3ds with me whenever I travel by bus I've scraped together 33 encounters, and I got mine on launch day mind you. Took it with me to Moscow on my holiday, didn't meet anyone at all there, not even at the airports! Wonder if I'll ever finish all the puzzles at this rate, especially if they add 'em faster than I can finish them.

Re: Mario Explores New Environments in Latest Trailer

Mollutje

Meh.. the last trailer made me a lot more excited, this one is just very.. generic. Not sure what they wanted to convey with it either. I'm sure I'll enjoy playing this game as I had tons of fun with it's predecessors, but there'll come a point where they have to really reinvent sidescrolling mario or even I will lose interest.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Trailer is Informative

Mollutje

don't understand why people would whine about getting too many lives.. lives are essentially superfluous anyway.. Rayman Origins did very very well without a life system..The only thing a life system would add is giving players a limited amount of retries from a checkpoint.. and it's kind of neat to keep track of how many times you have fallen.. but overall I really don't think virtually having endless lives is a bad thing. You still have to beat the levels.

Re: First Impressions: Rayman Legends

Mollutje

@ThomasBW84 When you say single-player only, I really hope you simply mean levels you're able to beat on your own, but that allow multiplayer as well (like the levels in rayman origins). SO.. making multiplayer optional in the campaign, but mandatory in the bonus levels?

Re: E3 2012: Nintendo's 3DS Software Showcase Live

Mollutje

great, I'll check in tomorrow then.. I'm not expecting too much from this, probably just more in depth talk about games that were already announced, but one can only hope they have a nice littel surprise for us yet.. and if not, some nice views of luigi's mansion will satisfy me.

Re: E3 2012: Nintendo Land is More Expansive Than You Thought

Mollutje

I think they should really bundle software with the system. this would be an obvious choice, but they seem to imply very strongly that it's not going to be bundles, which is a little odd since they're referring to it as a wii sports (resort) equivalent. It does have a strange appeal to me..

Re: Talking Point: Reviewing Nintendo's E3 Press Conference

Mollutje

I don't know why I feel slightly disappointed.. I was blown away by how awesome pikmin looked, and I even like the idea of nintendo land quite a lot. plus, there are multiple third party games I'd love to get my hands on, but it just felt like there was one more big first party game missing! I was expecting something from retro studios, and actually hoping to see a debut trailer for a new groundbreaking 3d mario game, one with a concept as jawdropping as galaxy. I'm still very excited for the system and there's plenty to look forward to, but aside from pikmin, nothing has really enchanted me. Also, both NSMB games still look too generic to me, Haven't seen a lot of fresh new level design.

Re: Nintendo Download: 17th May 2012 (Europe)

Mollutje

Hm, the rayman demo was pretty cool, I really think the 3d effect added something to it, on the other hand though, the music seemed to be glitching, it kept on going where it shouldn't have and some themes just had little sections missing. I really hope that's not the case in the actual finished version. also, it seems like they dumbed it down a little. Lum collecting was a lot easier and I swear there were fewer enemies. I wonder if all of this is just demo related or if the levels will be exactly like that in the actual version.

Re: Mario Kart 7 Update Available Now

Mollutje

Heh, I just played my first online matches since the patch. It was brilliant. There's still a surprising amount of people who chose wuhu island 2, so imagine the fun I had watching them try to do the glitch and fail miserably! It was delightful.
