Tribute Games has been given approved developer status by Nintendo, which means we should be seeing some software from the studio hitting either the Wii U or 3DS eShop.

It's not known what games Tribute will be bringing to Nintendo's systems, but the company's recent title — Mercenary Kings — is a possibility.
More developer support is always a positive thing — are you looking forward to seeing what Tribute can achieve on the Nintendo's hardware? Post a comment to tell us what you think.

Mercenary Kings looks awesome! I love the "create your own weapon" feature.
Reminds me of Metal Slug.. mixed with.. eh.. Cave Story? I don't know.. but it looks pretty cool.
I'd love to see Mercenary Kings on 3DS or Wii U
This made my day!
Great news for a change!
Awesome news! Wii U needs all the developers it can get!
So much blood! Wonder whether this will come to Germany...
So many games that are announced to come to the Wii U nowadays have this retro 2D look. Though this is not necessarily a bad thing - neither on the visual side nor gameplay wise - I wonder why that is so.
That game Mercenary Kings looks awesome, and I love the art style.
I think the good part is that it promotes indie developers to reach out to wiiU.
To be honest,ps4 and wiiU are going to have a really good indie line up this console generation because of there support for indie devs. .
This is great news indeed
Hmm interesting, Sony/Nintendo developer but no microsoft! Need I say more?
The graphics style reminds me of Scott Pilgrim
its kinda funny, because wiiU has so many games anounced and i think all of them will be released at the same time, a flood of WiiU games lol.
@takyon98 Sony and Nintendo have been more indie game friendly while MS on the other hand makes indie developers like Team Meat who made Super Meat Boy suffer because the devs don't get to pick when the game comes out and makes it hard to make a patch and if devs make one, they have to cough up $$$$$
@MrSRArter I was thinking the original Duke Nukem platformer - but wa-a-ay better
