To all the people still claiming Unite is P2W, I had three games this morning (2 random 1 quick), I won two games and got MVP once. Haven't paid for a single upgrade. My win rate is hovering around 65%, so, I guess I must be really lucky, right? Either that or it's not P2W.

Played it on Game Pass. Loved the look, but I didn't like much else about it.

I'm still playing this game, still enjoying this game, still not paying real money to upgrade items (though I have put money into the game to purchase licenses), still doing well at the game, still getting annoyed at people, still being impressed by the skill of some people, still loving it.

The fanboy that still resides deep within me is doing backflips right now. There have been some incredibly dark times for Nintendo in the last 30 years, so this makes me very happy.

Get Skyrim under £20 and I might take the plunge.

@smithpa01 Dictionaries have to acknowledge handheld as a noun because so many simpletons use it that way. The correct and foremost use is as an adjective.

@Dilly-Mick And the flipside is so satisfying. Even without direct communication, you can be in total sync with one or two other people, you know what they're going to do because you would do the same thing. You work as a team in perfect harmony and sweep your opponent. That's what I love about this game, and if people need to pay for a little advantage, so be it. As long as we're all having fun.

Also, just to add, I would rather play against someone who has paid for an advantage than along side someone who doesn't help out when a nearby team mate is in trouble. Guess what? Once they've merked me, they're gonna merk you too! If you had put a shift in we would have wiped them out!

So many comments saying it's pay to win, well, I haven't paid a single penny and I regularly get MVP, so I guess the people I'm playing against must be really bad... or the claims are mostly BS. Patience and good comprehension of the flow of the game are way more important than any item.

£24.99 seems like a fair price for those NES ones. Sold.

I don't care one way or the other, and you can call it what you want, but, there's a few people on here claiming it's not an RPG because it lacks XP or similar. I could argue that gaining hearts/weapons/armour/accessories is just another way of "leveling up" your character. But, the one thing I would say with certainty is that this debate should not be taken too seriously.
