Re: Feature: Is It Worth Importing A Japanese 3DS For These Virtual Console Games?

Miu

My goodness I'm glad that I'm not into classic stuffs.. is it necessary for this kind of fear mongering?

Not surprised if Nintendo suddenly make a "we heard you and we decide to postpone" move once the 3DS game sales skyrocketed thanks to the overexaggeration by media.

Just hack your 3DS lol.. it's nearing EOL already and friendly reminder that CFW =/= piracy. With CFW on 3DS we can use

  • custom theme
  • cheat (for offline use only)
  • region free
  • patch games (english translation, mod etc)
  • backup/restore saves
  • many more!

Luma3DS ftw! Just read their documentation on how they managed to hack 3DS.. really talented and genius programmers

Re: Nintendo Could Be Using AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution To Boost Switch Performance

Miu

@EriXz My previous phone, Poco X3 Pro is cheaper than Nintendo Switch. It has Snapdragon 860, 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage and 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM. Performance? Tons of time better than Switch. Sure, flagship processors (SD 8 Gen 1 etc) isn't cheap but I can assure you it's still affordable.

It's not a matter of can, it's a matter of when. Unfortunately we know how greedy Nintendo can be.

Re: Gallery: Nintendo Shares More Screenshots Of Pokémon Legends: Arceus For Switch

Miu

We have every right to be cautious and even to criticize. We are paying premium price for this game at the same price or even higher than some other AAA games on other powerful consoles.

I'll always be cautious with every Nintendo games (especially action games) even from first party exclusive and wait for reviews (no review so far.. red flag?)

Re: Exp. Share Supposedly Can't Be Turned Off In The Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes

Miu

In Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, only pokemon that holds EXP Share will get EXP and EVs. For casual gamers, this is quite tedious (I'm one of them.. with works and family, I've no time for this). I can understand why the devs want to remove that.

What they should do -> make EXP Share as a Key Item - we can toggle it on or off (on by default) just like in Generation VI to VII... this is a big QoL feature that I like in Generation VI to VII because EXP and EVs is awarded to all of the non-fainted Pokémon in the party.

BUT

by making it a permanent feature just like in Pokemon Let's Go, this is really unfair for gamers that bought and played the original games. This is a remake, a nostalgic one and clearly old gamers are one of their main target. When a company decided to implement/remove something, it doesn't mean that we aren't allowed to criticize it. Criticism works.

Re: Hardware Review: Can You Really "Make Your Own Switch Pro" With This $100 Dongle?

Miu

For a handheld device I believe that 720p/1080p is enough (good for battery life too).. LCD is fine for me. All I want for a 'Switch Pro'

  • more powerful processor
  • faster storage speed (preferably SSD) instead of slow eMMC. I don't mind UFS 3.1 just like in Android.
  • more RAM (16 GB?)
  • 4K in dock mode

.... just like Steam Deck. With our ancient processor, slow eMMC storage speed and tiny amount of RAM, expect to see more unoptimized future games on Switch.

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Miu

@jowe_gw The problem is our Switch is actually weak.. many casual gamers complaining about stuttering, poor framerate and resolution esp on handheld mode. Even for exclusive game which is unacceptable. I love my 3DS but for Switch, Nintendo really need to push developers to optimize their games better.. and for them to upgrade that ancient Tegra processor (even RAM too)

So many making fun of us when we complain about OLED Switch.. mocking us for believing Switch Pro's rumors.. but we already complain about it since long before those Pro rumors emerged..

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Miu

@jowe_gw Yep but my main point is with the hardware.. no doubt it's hard to compete with Nintendo's userbase (not my point) but i really wish Nintendo upgrade their hardware because it really matters.. we really have a weak, ancient processor on Switch.

I agree with the pricepoint.. no dock for base unit..but I believe its selling point is to play it as handheld..

Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021

Miu

Wow.. what a good news. A very fantastic piece of hardware

For that price, we get such a powerful CPU and GPU, option to upgrade internal storage to 512 GB, 4K and 8K output on the dock? I really can't see why people would make fun of this unless.. just being salty (except for its design.. which I'm okay with).

Massive, massive library to boot.. visual novel, JRPG, wonderful indie games.. you name it. Definitely gonna buy it and I love that Valve has regional pricing on my country. What a shame Nintendo..
