The key card thing has been a thing since the PS4/Xbox One era where discs have to DOWNLOAD the games to your console and not the discs having the game itself. It’s a stinker but this ain’t news aside from it being Nintendo’s first time with this format
The Mario Kart ride looks like any other motion based ride from Disney and Universal Studios. Maybe the AR might make the difference, but this seems a bit underwhelming. At least the park's aesthetic and merch look great.
I'm loving that Twinsanity is getting some love and attention this month. Been loving the game a whole lot and Beenox seems to really care about the game a whole ton.
@EvaEeveeFan Yet Nintendo should take some pointers from CTR, being the way it handles free DLC (minus the microtransations), be more about skill than the randomness coming from items and just listening to the fans and grant fixes.
I can totally relate to this because well known games that are very balance heavy (like SFV and MK11 and Pokken) get practically boring and the best type of matches to see are when someone plays a lesser known character or a character that is known to be bad to use. This statement isn't worded right but I totally understand it
It's a pleasant surprise, but I'll stick to getting it on PS4 (not gonna get it from the shady Epic Games Store and I'll wait for videos to see if the Switch version runs well)
Woof, I'm reminded that the Fox X-Men costumes (outside of Deadpool of course) are REAL dated compared to right now, when almost ever comic book movie has the characters actually look like their comic book counterparts
I guess you can say the Marvel characters look marvelous if there is an actual art direction and style like Marvel vs Capcom 3 (even Spider Man PS4 had some vividness and style to it). l personally think the Square game looks too grey and has a bit of a chrome filter, although not a visual disaster like Marvel vs Capcom Infinite there are kinks that distract me.
It started really weak with the Dragon Quest stuff and some weird third party choices (like that Contra game that thinks it's a Contra game), but it really got progressively better with Panzer Dragoon, No More Heroes 3, Banjo in Smash, and Breath of the Wild getting a sequel. Nintendo gave a solid direct to a very mediocre E3.
@FlyingFoxy No, but from how the messy the production was (the turnaround where the movie had to go from Sony to Paramount made things even worse), to the people behind it (which the writers behind it do nothing but Z grade comedies), the studio handling this redesign situation and to the trailer, which is supposed to sell to the consumer what the film is, shows that it's another sleezy attempt at a kids movie.
Detective Pikachu, while flawed and weird at some parts, at least has much more positive qualities to talk about and obviously had a more competent build compared to Sonic. If you actually watch movies plenty of times, you would actually understand the quality of a film that would be considered good or bad.
This isn't gonna save this film. Just because Sonic is somewhat going to look better in the film, that doesn't save bad writing, sloppy storytelling, lazy humor and flimsy cinematography. I have no idea why people are celebrating this even though we all know the end result to this thing.
@BensonUii Prince of Persia was just some mediocre adventure flick that has nothing special going for it, outside of it being made by Disney. And Warcraft, while it is technically fine (at least with the orc's since they are the best part of the film, the human characters were terrible), it requires you to understand a whole lot of World of Warcraft lore in order to actually get the most out of it unlike Detective Pikachu, where it is much more accessible.
It makes total sense and for it being a $10 season pass, I'm pretty excited for the new features coming. Also appreciate the new incentive to go score points outside of trying to get some EShop money.
@Muddy_4_Ever I feel whenever Wreck It Ralph is brought up but not bring up Scott Pilgrim vs The Word in a conversation on video game themed movies, the world is gonna be on a dark timeline lol
@Dog FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT Those Pokemon anime films are just the worst. Each and everyone of them has the same flowchart feel and are just monotonous to watch since they are just the same damn movie outside of the new legendary pokemon of the month.
I'd like to see some sort of an Excitebike revival for the service. Guessing VS Excitebike got me in the mood and there hasn't been a new game since the Wiiware days.
@ShinyUmbreon How squeamish and shallow are you? There are plenty of PG rated films that had plenty of cussing as well as death, like Rango as well as Into the Spider Verse more recently (A majority of Laika's films, I could go on). Detective Pikachu knows what it is and is trying balance itself as a mystery film along with attracting kids who are Pokemon fans who aren't afraid on some frisky stuff, which is completely fine.
@WillQuan Well that's nostalgia telling ya Mortal Kombat is still a good movie because it doesn't hold up all that well today (at least it's better than MK Annihilation anyway).
Also, can we stop with the backlash of the Super Mario Bros film and Street Fighter 94? Yeah, they're not good but they're not "Worst Movie Ever Made" material and they at least provide some cheesy fun.
@SalvorHardin Well lucky for you, the game is going to be a service like Street Fighter V and Killer Instinct, so eventually the fan favorites who didn't make it will probably come in the future
Joker really looks like Cloud 2.0 just from the inclusion of the rebellion meter alone lol. I do like the inclusion of Persona music though and stage builder is looking a lot better than in Wii U
@ImagineerNik 1.Tron Legacy didn't flop. It grossed over it's $170 million dollar budget, making it a success, but since they also bought Lucasfilm at the time, Disney thinks Star Wars will sell more than Tron, thus making it hard for a Tron 3 to happen (and it makes me sad). 2.Tron Uprising only lasted for a season and got cancelled on it's first year and that also makes me sadder. 3.It's cool that a Tron attraction is coming to the west but I personally feel a new film or television show revolving the Tron universe is more exciting than a roller coaster that'll eventually be taken down.
It really is the darkest timeline once you realize Disney now own's the majority of the entertainment industry (and still hasn't done squat with Tron since 2010). Looks like Nintendo knew what they were doing when choosing Universal.
This version of MK11 looks like it was done by the people who did the Vita version of MK9, which was surprisingly good. It doesn't look gorgeous and doesn't contain every visual effect but at least the character models and particle effects look like they're in high quality
@PCkid Well welcome to the monkey's paw of what the Switch has to offer. Big triple A games being ported and optimized at the cost of memory and extra requirements. It sucks but I just accepted it at this point, even if it is considered unacceptable.

At least it won't be a mess like Yooka Laylee, even though it is made for children. Seems like decent fun if the game has a price cut.

I'm glad that this has a bright and colorful art style and is not drab and grey nor being a Tom Clancy game. I am optimistic for it.
