Re: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Gets A Cred Boost After Fans See Square's Effort

I guess you can say the Marvel characters look marvelous if there is an actual art direction and style like Marvel vs Capcom 3 (even Spider Man PS4 had some vividness and style to it). l personally think the Square game looks too grey and has a bit of a chrome filter, although not a visual disaster like Marvel vs Capcom Infinite there are kinks that distract me.

Re: Video: Nintendo's E3 Direct Went From Pedestrian To Perfection

It started really weak with the Dragon Quest stuff and some weird third party choices (like that Contra game that thinks it's a Contra game), but it really got progressively better with Panzer Dragoon, No More Heroes 3, Banjo in Smash, and Breath of the Wild getting a sequel. Nintendo gave a solid direct to a very mediocre E3.

Re: The Sonic Movie Gets Delayed Until 2020 To Get Things 'Just Right'

@FlyingFoxy No, but from how the messy the production was (the turnaround where the movie had to go from Sony to Paramount made things even worse), to the people behind it (which the writers behind it do nothing but Z grade comedies), the studio handling this redesign situation and to the trailer, which is supposed to sell to the consumer what the film is, shows that it's another sleezy attempt at a kids movie.

Detective Pikachu, while flawed and weird at some parts, at least has much more positive qualities to talk about and obviously had a more competent build compared to Sonic. If you actually watch movies plenty of times, you would actually understand the quality of a film that would be considered good or bad.

Re: Pokémon Detective Pikachu Shocks The Competition In Its Opening Weekend

@BensonUii Prince of Persia was just some mediocre adventure flick that has nothing special going for it, outside of it being made by Disney. And Warcraft, while it is technically fine (at least with the orc's since they are the best part of the film, the human characters were terrible), it requires you to understand a whole lot of World of Warcraft lore in order to actually get the most out of it unlike Detective Pikachu, where it is much more accessible.

Re: Movie Review: Pokémon Detective Pikachu Does Enough To Break The 'Bad Video Game Movie' Curse

@ShinyUmbreon How squeamish and shallow are you? There are plenty of PG rated films that had plenty of cussing as well as death, like Rango as well as Into the Spider Verse more recently (A majority of Laika's films, I could go on). Detective Pikachu knows what it is and is trying balance itself as a mystery film along with attracting kids who are Pokemon fans who aren't afraid on some frisky stuff, which is completely fine.

Re: Feature: Forget Sonic, These Are the 10 Worst Video Game Movies Ever

@WillQuan Well that's nostalgia telling ya Mortal Kombat is still a good movie because it doesn't hold up all that well today (at least it's better than MK Annihilation anyway).

Also, can we stop with the backlash of the Super Mario Bros film and Street Fighter 94? Yeah, they're not good but they're not "Worst Movie Ever Made" material and they at least provide some cheesy fun.

@ImagineerNik 1.Tron Legacy didn't flop. It grossed over it's $170 million dollar budget, making it a success, but since they also bought Lucasfilm at the time, Disney thinks Star Wars will sell more than Tron, thus making it hard for a Tron 3 to happen (and it makes me sad).
2.Tron Uprising only lasted for a season and got cancelled on it's first year and that also makes me sadder.
3.It's cool that a Tron attraction is coming to the west but I personally feel a new film or television show revolving the Tron universe is more exciting than a roller coaster that'll eventually be taken down.
