So no more Mega Man for a while?

I'm pretty excited for this. I beat the first two games this year but will hold off on buying the 3rd until this comes to the eShop.

Wii U hardware bump - Terrible

Hopefully the Wii U can maintain a 10K baseline from now on or at least the next few weeks.

We all know its not being released on the Wii U.

I guess that free game went a long way in pushing sales. Hopefully has something lineup up for this month to keep the momentum going.

I wish they just made a wireless GC controller. Wired controller in 2014 is kind of lame imo

Terrible numbers all around. Mobile games have taken over Japan But this is great for Nintendo nonetheless. Hopefully they can get some momentum behind the Wii U over there.

So have they dropped the Harvest Moon title permanently?

No dark Luigi green? It seems like that would be a more obvious choice.

I'm not really interested in these types of games but I guess its cool for those that are.

Huh? Wii Music was a VERY successful game.

Hopefully they give the option to just purchase additional challengers as DLC and unlock players within the game. I'm not too interested in figurines. If they use this for physical trophies then that's fine by me.

Console gaming is dead in this region.

This is kind of a weird date considering Nintendo hasnt given details since the reveal. I guess that means they're going all out at E3.

This is disappointing but I can't blame them.
The Wii U is a disaster and the vast majority of ppl that own one have shown that they'd rather let their console collect dust while waiting on 1st party games and/or play 3rd party game on different platforms.

You can't really blame consumers though. They're going to buy what they're interested in and what they can afford. Nintendo is going to have to do a much better job and pretty much do a complete 180 in quite a few areas if they're going to create a platform where consumers want to buy these games and publishers want to put games on their hardware

Its obviously for worse at this point but good for Nintendo for sticking to their guns and vision with the console.

Activision said that this is now a 2 billion dollar franchise so I honestly can't blame them for milking it at this point.

That number for Lost World is kinda low since its across 2 platforms, right? Hopefully Sonic Boom does better.

-Get rid of the dual screen
-Better battery life
-NO BC (It holds back the hardware and I dont care for games in 3D)
-And PLEASE be better hardware...my 3DS feels like a piece of plastic.

This market is dead and has moved onto mobile. Both consumers and publishers. The PS4 will obviously rise over time, but its hard for me to see anything else having real momentum in this market. Hopefully Nintendo takes this into consideration when making their next gen hardware.

Opportunity cost plays a huge role in acquisitions. Maybe Nintendo thought that increasing their internal staff would better serve them(since they've been severely understaffed for years) than just making another acquisition. It could have possibly been cheaper too.

Not surprised. I doubt they have many NEW games to show. Let's just hope the ones they do have are actually good.

Day one Wii U purchase for me.

The most disappointing and disturbing thing about Nintendo right now is that there's is a huge sense that things are going to get worse before they get better.

I wish them well and it will def be interesting to see where Nintendo stands when this gen is over.

This comment just seems sour since people have impressions on DLC and Nintendo just started releasing DLC content in their games. And it seems that most have an issue with companies go about pricing and releasing the content the extra content.

I'm usually on the fence with DLC and it depends on both the price and the content, but I see no issue with this. They're offering the game at a discounted price and giving you a lot more content that will come out to $5 more than the normal $40 retail game if someone chooses to purchase it. Its not mandatory.

Also, those of you saying you have no issue as long as the game is complete have no clue if the game was stripped of its original content and used for DLC or not in most cases There's just no possible way of knowing for sure. Whether the extra content is released on the same day of the game or 6 months later is irrelevant. If you like the game and the extra content, then buy it and show support. If not, then skip it.

Its good to see Takumi will be more hands on with the latest installment of the series. I will def buy if its localized.

This was my first handheld and mine still works.

It seems like Nintendo is leaving money on the table with not having cross-buy/play available for some of these eShop titles. But who knows, maybe they have plans for remixes for the 3DS too.

The Wii U number is actually higher than I thought it would be. Not that they're good or anything but it clear that the console is a disaster at this point.
